Chapter 28

"This is... a honey badger?" Yuan Ming looked at the beast that Bayin had transformed into, somewhat speechless.

Unlike others who underwent significant changes in size when using the Fur Cloak technique, Bayin's size did not change much, and his appearance looked somewhat comical.

However, judging from his eyes, which glowed with a red hue, and the heavy breaths from his nose, and the fierce aura he exuded, it was clear that he was not as easy to provoke as he looked.

Following closely, the other members of the Green Wolf Gang who had come with Bayin also used the Fur Cloak technique, transforming into three green wolves and a black leopard.

Yuan Ming quickly scanned the area, pulled out the bone short spears embedded in the ground behind him, and held one in each hand.

His gaze swept over the members of the Green Wolf Gang, as if searching for a target to attack. Among them were the three who had previously followed Zaha. They had already seen Yuan Ming's skills and understood what he was about to do, so they all retreated.

"What are you afraid of? I'm here!" Bayin roared, his voice like a thunderclap.

However, just as he finished speaking, a piercing sound suddenly came from the air.

Yuan Ming, using the Yuan Arm technique, threw the bone spear with all his might, which shot like an arrow straight toward Bayin's chest.

Just as it was about to pierce his chest, a hand suddenly came down from above, striking the bone spear heavily.

A loud "bang" echoed.

Yuan Ming saw a dark light flash under the badger's paw, and his bone spear was shattered by the impact, breaking in half and falling to the ground.

But immediately after, another piercing sound rang out.

The second bone spear was already hurtling through the air, heading straight for Bayin's face.

Bayin let out a roar, not dodging at all, and instead charged head-on into the bone spear.

A "snap" sounded.

The bone spear was deflected by Bayin's forehead and caught in his hand.

At the same time, a figure darted past him, leaping away into the distance.

"Do you think you can run?"

Bayin sneered, turned his body, and reversed the bone spear in his hand, throwing it forcefully at the fleeing Yuan Ming.

Yuan Ming, already in mid-air, was reaching for a low-hanging vine when he heard the whistling wind behind him. He quickly ducked, and his body fell downward.

The bone spear whizzed past his scalp, breaking the vine he was about to grab. It hit a distant old tree with a "bang," creating a large hole and piercing through the one behind it.

"Such strength," Yuan Ming muttered.

As he fell to the ground, two black shadows attacked from either side, revealing themselves to be the green wolves transformed by the Fur Cloak technique. They opened their mouths wide and bit at his arms from both sides.

With no choice, Yuan Ming rolled on the ground to avoid them.

When he got up, he saw a black leopard pouncing at him from the front, blocking his path.

There was no way to avoid it.

As the black leopard charged at him, Yuan Ming supported himself with one hand on the ground and held his other hand in front of him, making a gesture. He shouted, "Rise!"

Instantly, a yellow light appeared on the ground in front of him, and a sharp yellow stone spire suddenly rose, piercing through the black leopard's chest.

Blood splattered, and the black leopard, transformed from a Fur Cloak slave, let out a series of惨叫声.

Yuan Ming darted past him, speeding into the forest.

"Be careful, that kid knows magic!" Bayin roared, chasing after him.

Yuan Ming took this opportunity to leap up and climb a tree, fleeing into the distance.

The three green wolves immediately followed, their speed giving them an advantage. They kept a certain distance from Yuan Ming, not wanting to get too close in case he turned around and attacked them.

Only Bayin, transformed into a honey badger, did not have the speed to keep up and gradually fell behind.

As Yuan Ming ran, he observed the surroundings, constantly identifying his direction.

His face was tense, but his eyes were not panicked.

Clearly, he had a plan for his current situation.

The three green wolves continued to chase Yuan Ming, and the pursuit lasted for about half an hour.

However, the distance between them and Yuan Ming had widened. It wasn't that they couldn't keep up, but they knew Bayin had been left far behind and were cautious about getting too close, fearing that Yuan Ming might turn around and catch them off guard.

Yuan Ming also had this thought, but he didn't know Bayin's strength and couldn't predict when he would catch up. If he was caught by the three green wolf slaves and couldn't escape, it would be very dangerous.

He continued running without stopping, arriving at a deep valley between two high mountain ridges. He looked into the valley.

It was noon, but the fog in the valley had not completely dissipated, creating a misty, almost dreamlike atmosphere.

Without hesitation, Yuan Ming plunged into the valley fog.

As soon as he entered the valley, a gust of wind carrying a burning smell hit him, making him frown.

Once he was deeper in the valley, past the wind gap, the pungent smell became less intense.

The trees in the valley were sparser than outside, and some fierce beasts could be seen in the forest. However, they seemed very cautious and timid, and ran away at the sound of Yuan Ming's movements.

Yuan Ming continued inward for about half an hour, and the air in the valley suddenly became murky, filled with a pungent sulfur smell.

As he rounded a bend in the valley, the scene before him suddenly opened up. Not far ahead, a sulfur lake covering about ten acres appeared, with an irregular shape.

The water was clear but golden, and a layer of white frost covered the edges of the shore, making it look like a large yellow gem embedded in the valley.

On the surface of the seemingly beautiful lake, white skeletons stood, some still intact, others partially decayed, as if they had grown from the lake.

On the side of the mountain near the lake, there were several caves of various sizes, some over ten meters high and others as small as dog holes.

Yuan Ming glanced at the cave entrances and quickly ran around the lake toward them.

Outside the valley, Bayin arrived, seeing his subordinates circling outside the valley, hesitant to enter.

"Where is that kid? What are you doing here?" Bayin shouted angrily.

"Boss Bayin, he ran into the valley. The fog is thick, and we dare not rush in, fearing an ambush," one of the green wolves said.

"Idiots, get in and chase him. If you let him escape, I'll kick you out of the Green Wolf Gang and let you fend for yourselves," Bayin roared.

The subordinates panicked.

They relied on the Green Wolf Gang's name to do many bad things, but rarely faced retaliation. Without the protection of the gang, they would die faster than others.

The three green wolf slaves, without a word, rushed into the valley, and Bayin followed closely behind.

On the other side, Yuan Ming, running along the lake shore, suddenly saw a shadow quickly pass over the water, heading toward him. As it got closer, the shadow grew larger.

He immediately stopped, staring at the water. As the shadow reached the shore, he suddenly looked up.

He saw a giant black eagle in the sky, its wings suddenly folding back as it dove toward him.

Yuan Ming took a step back, clenching his fists, waiting for the eagle to get closer.

As the eagle approached, a light "swoosh" was heard.

The eagle let out a sharp cry, and its massive body suddenly burst into blood, splitting into several pieces and falling to the ground.

Bright red blood splattered in the air, almost covering Yuan Ming.

Yuan Ming was shocked and quickly retreated several meters, unsure of what had happened.

When he looked up again, he saw several blood-red lines floating in the air, about ten meters above the ground.

Yuan Ming's eyes narrowed, and he carefully examined the lines, realizing they extended to form a massive spider web that almost covered the entire sulfur lake.

If it weren't for the eagle's blood, it would have been impossible to see.

"I was careless, I didn't notice it," he thought, feeling a chill of fear.

At that moment, the sound of pursuit came from behind, and the Green Wolf Gang members had caught up.

Yuan Ming turned back, a relieved smile on his face, as if he was afraid they wouldn't follow.

He quickly sped toward the mountain wall.

Bayin, seeing Yuan Ming run toward the wall, thought he was trying to climb it and escape. He immediately shouted, "Don't let him get to the wall, stop him!"

As he spoke, he chanted, and a pink mist began to rise from his body, his muscles swelling, and his speed increasing dramatically as he charged toward Yuan Ming.

The two green wolves took the lead, flanking Yuan Ming and pouncing on him.

Yuan Ming dodged to the sides, swinging his arms and striking the backs of the two green wolf slaves, knocking them down.

But immediately, the third green wolf slave surrounded him, blocking his path.

Seeing this, Yuan Ming seemed frustrated and let out an angry roar.

Without his bone spears, he could only fight the three green wolf slaves with his bare hands. His heavy punches made them howl in pain, but in close combat, he did not have an advantage. His arms and shoulders were bitten in several places, and blood flowed freely.
