While Yuan Ming was in a standoff with the three wolf beast slaves, Bayin finally caught up and, without a word, joined the battle.
Bayin suddenly lunged forward, delivering a savage charge directly at Yuan Ming.
In a hurry, Yuan Ming could only cross his arms in front of him to block, but he was still hit by the powerful force and sent flying backward, crashing into the mountain wall.
Yuan Ming felt a sweetness in his throat, and a mouthful of fresh blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.
"Indeed, he is strong."
He made a judgment about Bayin in his heart. With his current strength, he was no match for Bayin in a direct confrontation, let alone with three others assisting him.
At this moment, Yuan Ming suddenly heard a rustling sound above his head. Then, a string of small pebbles rolled down from the mountain wall behind him.
"Finally, they're here."
After muttering this, Yuan Ming actually undid the Fur Cloak technique and returned to his human form.
This action was akin to removing armor on the battlefield, leaving Bayin and the others somewhat surprised, unsure of what he was up to.
Yuan Ming had no intention of explaining. He immediately took out a paper packet from his pocket, tore it open roughly, and sprinkled the contents over himself.
Red and white powder immediately covered his entire body, and a pungent smell spread.
Bayin wrinkled his nose, and then one of the wolf beast slaves spoke up, "Boss Bayin, this seems to be... beast repellent powder."
Although he didn't know what was happening, he could sense that something was wrong.
"Never mind, quickly go and kill him," Bayin roared.
The three wolf beast slaves pounced simultaneously. Yuan Ming, who had returned to his human form, did not use the Fur Cloak technique again but turned and started climbing up the mountain wall.
One of the wolf beast slaves ran quickly, grabbed a protruding rock on the cliff with his front claws, and used it to leap up, opening his blood-filled mouth to bite at Yuan Ming.
Just as his wolf teeth were about to bite into Yuan Ming's calf, a whistling sound suddenly broke the air.
Then, a black, sharp bone spike flew past Yuan Ming's back, piercing through the head of the wolf beast slave, splattering blood.
The body of the wolf beast slave was thrown to the ground by the force of the bone spike, dead on the spot.
The other two wolf beast slaves, seeing this, were terrified and stopped their charge.
They all looked up at Yuan Ming, and saw a large, black head emerging from a large cave in the cliff above.
The head was as big as a bull's, covered in black short hair, with eight eyes arranged neatly in two rows. Below the eyes were a pair of curved mandibles, gleaming with a dark luster, and on top of the head was a black, sharp horn.
"What the hell is this thing?" one of the wolf beast slaves exclaimed.
His voice immediately attracted the attention of the strange head, and the eight eyes all turned to look at him. The black horn on the head flashed, and a black bone spike shot out.
The wolf beast slave, reacting quickly, immediately dodged.
The black bone spike grazed his back, leaving a scratch but not hitting any vital spots.
Seeing the missed attack, the strange head immediately moved, extending its head out of the cave, followed by its entire body and eight black, spear-like spider legs, which all crawled out.
Its body clung to the steep cliff, the eight spider legs firmly anchored in the rock crevices, as stable as a mountain, showing no sign of falling.
"Unicorn Wolf Spider, what is this thing doing here?" Bayin couldn't help but exclaim.
As soon as he spoke, the wolf beast slave who had been grazed by the bone spike was already lying on the ground, black blood flowing from his nose and mouth, dead.
The remaining wolf beast slave, seeing this, was even more terrified and froze in place.
"Such a strong poison."
As Bayin spoke, a black bone spike shot toward his face.
He immediately swung his hand, using his claw tips to deflect the bone spike, redirecting it with its original force, sending it back toward Yuan Ming.
Yuan Ming, seeing this, quickly dodged to the side and continued climbing upward.
He was the closest to the Unicorn Wolf Spider, and the spider had already sensed his presence.
However, because Yuan Ming was covered in beast repellent powder, the spider did not immediately attack him but instead prioritized attacking the greatest threat, Bayin.
The Unicorn Wolf Spider quickly climbed down and rushed toward Bayin, its eight steel-like spider legs supporting its body, reaching Bayin in just a few steps.
Its spider legs, incredibly sharp, continuously stabbed at Bayin.
Bayin could only use his two badger paws, deflecting the attacks with his claw tips, creating a series of metallic clanging sounds.
The seemingly delicate spider legs continuously collided with the sharp claws, not only showing no damage but also forcing Bayin to make mistakes, leaving scratches on his body.
Soon, the wounds on his body turned black, clearly indicating the presence of poison.
Yuan Ming took the opportunity to quickly climb upward, soon reaching the cave where the Unicorn Wolf Spider resided.
He flipped into the cave, and immediately a complex, indescribable smell hit him.
Yuan Ming's gaze swept the area, and he saw bones picked clean and scattered on both sides of the cave entrance, along with chunks of rotten, mangled flesh.
In the center of this filth, there was a dark red object, resembling a lingzhi mushroom, with a wooden-like texture but with a slight wriggling sensation, as if it were alive.
"That's it, the flesh lingzhi mentioned in the *Herbal Compendium*," Yuan Ming's eyes lit up, and he was overjoyed.
A few days ago, while hunting, he had already injured a prey, but it disappeared after entering this valley. Later, he discovered that the prey had been taken by the Unicorn Wolf Spider.
When he came to investigate, he found this flesh lingzhi, knowing it to be a precious medicinal herb recorded in the *Herbal Compendium*. He had the idea of taking it.
However, after trying, Yuan Ming realized he was no match for the Unicorn Wolf Spider, so he devised a plan to drive the spider away and lure the Green Wolf Gang to kill it, allowing him to take the treasure in the chaos.
Seeing the treasure before him, Yuan Ming immediately walked forward, dug out the palm-sized flesh lingzhi, wrapped it in a prepared animal skin, and put it in his pocket.
With the treasure in hand, Yuan Ming came to the cave entrance, intending to observe the situation outside before making a decision.
However, as soon as he reached the entrance, a pale, ghostly face suddenly appeared above, staring at him with round, pitch-black eyes, devoid of any whites, looking extremely eerie.
Yuan Ming was startled and immediately stepped back, only then realizing that the pale face was actually a special pattern on the head of a completely black spider.
This spider was much smaller than the Unicorn Wolf Spider, with eight thin, spindly legs and a long, slender body, but its head was round, with a pale, ghostly human face.
As Yuan Ming stared at it, it stared back, but its pitch-black eyes revealed nothing.
Suddenly, the strange human face grinned, but no teeth were visible, and there was no mouth, as if it were just a hollow mask on the spider's forehead.
This eerie sight made Yuan Ming's scalp tingle, and he instinctively wanted to flee.
However, the cave was shallow, with only one exit, and Yuan Ming was trapped inside.
He had no choice but to use the Fur Cloak technique, transforming into a white ape. He grabbed a bone from the pile of bones, intending to throw it with his Yuan Yuan Arm technique.
However, the bone, which had been dead for a long time, shattered with a "crack" before he could use it.
Yuan Ming quickly switched to another bone, but it also shattered upon contact.
He cursed under his breath and tried again, but this time, he felt something different. Upon closer inspection, he realized that what he held was not a bone but a rusted bronze sword.
At this moment, the human-faced spider launched its attack, one of its thin legs stabbing at Yuan Ming with incredible speed, faster than the Unicorn Wolf Spider.
Yuan Ming, without hesitation, blocked the attack with his sword.
A sharp "clang" echoed as the sword and spider leg collided, sparks flying.
Yuan Ming felt a powerful force, forcing him to step back. He looked at his sword and saw that only a bit of rust had been knocked off, with no significant damage.
The human-faced spider's attack came again, two legs stabbing from both sides, continuously attacking Yuan Ming.
Yuan Ming, while blocking with his sword, fought his way toward the cave entrance.
The limited space in the cave restricted his movements, making him more passive.
As he pushed back against the spider's legs, the human-faced spider's abdomen suddenly contracted, and a small hole on its belly suddenly spewed a white fluid, which expanded into a white web in mid-air, enveloping Yuan Ming.
Yuan Ming, seeing this, blocked the stabbing leg with his sword and grabbed the web with his free hand, wrapping it around and forming a ball.
A sharp, intense pain immediately shot through his palm, and a powerful corrosive force seeped into his hand. Even with the protection of the white ape's skin, his palm was instantly corroded with deep wounds.
The burning pain made Yuan Ming's eyes widen, and a fierce, almost inhuman aura was unleashed.
He roared, holding the sword in front of him to block the attacks, and with his injured hand, he clenched his fist and punched the incoming spider leg with all his might.
