Chapter 30

Yuan Ming gathered strength in his arm, his muscles instantly bulging. His fist collided with one of the human-faced spider's legs, producing a dull thud.

The leg, which appeared as thin as a hemp rod, was unexpectedly resilient. Despite the heavy blow, it did not break but was instead pressed inward, retracting sharply.

The bizarre human face of the human-faced spider also twisted, revealing an expression of great pain.

Its other legs also pierced into the cave, brushing past Yuan Ming's sides. Its entire body, like a giant claw, gripped Yuan Ming.

Before Yuan Ming could react, its body pressed against him, and the painful expression on the human face disappeared, replaced by a grin with an exaggerated arc.

The grin flipped upward, as if it had moved to the top of its head.

Below it, a large, blood-red mouth opened, revealing two rows of sharp, fine teeth. A slender, long tongue extended out, licking Yuan Ming's cheek.

Yuan Ming watched helplessly as the sticky tongue licked his face, feeling a burning pain through the fur of his beast skin.

His two ape arms stretched out, holding the long sword, his arm muscles bulging. He unleashed all his strength, trying to break free from the human-faced spider's grip and escape.

The human-faced spider seemed to sense his intention, letting out a fierce howl. Its legs contracted with full force, trapping Yuan Ming tightly. Without hesitation, its blood-red mouth bit down.

Yuan Ming tilted his head to one side, and his shoulder was bitten by the human-faced spider's fine teeth, blood splattering immediately.

A powerful suction force then came from the wound, and Yuan Ming felt his entire body's blood rushing to that spot, being sucked away by the human-faced spider.

The intense pain further fueled Yuan Ming's ferocity. His eyes turned red, and with a low growl, he bit down on the human-faced spider's head.

The human-faced spider, not expecting such ferocity, immediately released its bite and retreated.

Seizing this opportunity, Yuan Ming did not hesitate. He dashed out of the cave and leaped down to the ground, which was over ten yards below.

The human-faced spider followed closely behind.

The moment Yuan Ming landed, he immediately discarded the ancient bronze sword, pressed his palm against the ground, and with the other hand, he formed a seal, shouting:

"Rise!"

The Earth Spike technique was activated again, and a sharp stone spike burst out of the ground, aiming for the falling human-faced spider.

The human-faced spider's eight legs immediately contracted, lifting its body high. The stone spike could not reach its body, and its slender legs perfectly avoided the spike, remaining unharmed.

Yuan Ming cursed, glancing ahead to see Bai Yin fighting the unicorn wolf spider. One of the spider's legs had been severed, and it was already at a disadvantage.

The only remaining green wolf beast slave was trying to help but, lacking the strength, dared not get too close. He could only circle around the combatants, looking flustered.

"Bai Yin, he... he's back!" The green wolf beast slave, seeing Yuan Ming jump down from the nearby cliff and run towards them, shouted loudly.

Bai Yin swiped the unicorn wolf spider away with a claw, sparing a glance at Yuan Ming. His lips twitched, and he was filled with rage.

But then he saw the massive figure chasing after Yuan Ming, and his face changed. He exclaimed, "Human-faced ghost spider, how did he attract this thing?"

As he shouted the name of the fierce beast, Bai Yin inwardly cursed Yuan Ming's ancestors.

One unicorn wolf spider was already troublesome enough, but now he had also attracted a human-faced ghost spider, both top-tier lower-grade fierce beasts. This was clearly a setup to make them all die together.

In an instant, he had the urge to retreat, as nothing was more important than his own life.

However, just as he was distracted, the unicorn wolf spider's remaining front leg thrust forward again. When Bai Yin instinctively blocked it, the leg suddenly retracted and slashed upward.

Bai Yin, caught off guard, had a long, thin wound slashed across his chest, blood gushing out.

He grunted, stepping back and pressing his claw against the wound. His chest muscles contracted, quickly stopping the bleeding, but the wound turned blue and purple, clearly poisoned.

The unicorn wolf spider followed up, pressing its attack.

Bai Yin, seeing the unicorn wolf spider advancing and glancing at the approaching Yuan Ming and the human-faced ghost spider, suddenly crouched, his body close to the ground, dodging the spider's thrust.

Then, he suddenly kicked off the ground, lunging to one side.

The green wolf beast slave, seeing Bai Yin pounce towards him, was caught off guard and was immediately grabbed by the long mane on his neck.

"Leader, what are you—"

Before he could finish, he was lifted off the ground by a powerful force.

Bai Yin, without a word, kicked off the ground, his arms suddenly exerting strength, and with a twist of his waist, he swung the green wolf beast slave and slammed him backward.

The green wolf beast slave struggled in terror, but with no place to brace himself in mid-air, he could not control his body and could only watch as he was thrown towards the pursuing unicorn wolf spider.

The unicorn wolf spider thrust a leg forward, piercing through the green wolf beast slave's body, but was also thrown backward by the momentum.

Yuan Ming, who had caught up, saw this and quickly dodged, running past the unicorn wolf spider.

"What a ruthless guy, attacking his own people like that." He cursed, seeing the human-faced ghost spider still chasing him, and immediately sped up.

Yuan Ming, in his white ape form, had limited running speed. At the human-faced ghost spider's pace, it was only a matter of time before it caught up.

Just as he was pondering what to do, he was surprised to find that Bai Yin, who was also fleeing, was even slower than him, and he felt a surge of joy.

He gritted his teeth, put the bronze sword in his mouth, and sprinted towards Bai Yin.

Bai Yin, panting heavily, felt numbness from the wound on his chest, and his entire body ached. He was not known for his speed, and now he could not run at full capacity.

The poison from the unicorn wolf spider, which he could normally resolve by sleeping in his honey badger beast slave form, was now a significant problem.

As he was frustrated, he suddenly heard rapid footsteps behind him.

He turned around to see Yuan Ming, with a bronze sword in his mouth, already close.

Before he could react, Yuan Ming had already flashed past him, grabbed the sword in his mouth, and swung it at him.

Bai Yin quickly dodged, shouting, "Are you trying to die?"

Yuan Ming did not respond but, every few steps, would flash over and slash with the sword. Though he could not injure Bai Yin, it prevented him from running at full speed.

As the human-faced ghost spider drew closer, only three or four yards away, Yuan Ming finally stopped harassing Bai Yin and continued running.

Bai Yin, filled with rage, had no choice. If he were delayed, the human-faced ghost spider would catch up, and at his speed, he would not be able to escape.

He let out a roar, channeling his dantian energy into his legs, forcing the numbness away, and ran at full speed, trying to increase the distance between him and the human-faced ghost spider.

This burst of speed consumed a lot of energy, but it was effective, increasing the distance to seven or eight yards.

But before he could relax, he saw Yuan Ming suddenly crouch, his palm glowing with a faint yellow light, pressing it to the ground. He immediately sensed something was wrong.

His strong instinct made him slow down.

Just as he slowed down, the ground in front of him suddenly shattered with a "crack," and a yellow, sharp stone spike burst out, piercing through the gaps in his claws.

If he had not slowed down, the spike would have pierced his foot.

Even without direct injury, the sudden spike tripped him, and he lost his balance, falling forward.

Just before he hit the ground, the earth beneath him cracked again.

Another sharp stone spike burst out, aiming for his right eye.

At the last moment, Bai Yin, instead of trying to support himself, slapped the spike with his palm.

With a "bang," the sharp stone spike shattered.

Bai Yin, falling without support, landed on his face.

This trip and fall gave the human-faced ghost spider enough time to catch up, and the distance between them was now less than a yard.

"Leader Bai Yin, I won't keep you company anymore. Enjoy the rest!"

About five or six yards ahead, Yuan Ming, seeing this, finally felt relieved and immediately ran forward.

He had already used a lot of energy and had used the Earth Spike technique twice, feeling somewhat exhausted. If he stayed to fight, there was a risk of problems.

After running another ten yards, Yuan Ming suddenly heard a roar behind him.

He stopped, turned around, and saw the human-faced ghost spider already engaged in combat with Bai Yin.

Yuan Ming, after a moment of hesitation, ran a few more yards towards the valley entrance, found a large rock to hide behind, and observed the fight between Bai Yin and the human-faced ghost spider.
