Waiting for the driver to arrive, Lu Ding Ning, assumed that her role in today’s engagement party was over, walked to the front entrance of the Caesar Hotel followed by Ruan Xi Yuan.

To their surprise, Ke Jia Ling suddenly appeared.

“Yi Ning…” dressed in her white wedding dress, Ke Jia Ling looked awful with her makeup ruined as tears streamed down her face.

“I’ll wait for you in front!” Seeing that Ke Jia Ling had something to say to Lu Ding Ning, Ruan Xi Yuan moved to give them room to talk, but before he left he gave Lu Ding Ning a subtle reminder to be cautious when dealing with this problem.

With her face saying, “I know what I’m doing.” Lu Ding Ning turned her attention to Ke Jia Ling as Ruan Xi Yuan walked away.

“Is there something else you need?” Lu Ding Ning languidly said, her voice simultaneously magnetic and aloof causing her to be extremely distant sounding.

This was the true Lu Ding Ning, magnetic and aloof.

She and Ke Jia Ling were truly strangers to each other.

However Lu Ding Ning’s display of indifference had been mistakenly taken as an act by Ke Jia Ling.

“Yi Ning, I know you hate me, and that’s why you came to my engagement party to create a scene. But, I really can’t help it… it would be best for you to forget about me!”

“You’re still young and so very handsome, with a flourishing career. I am sure….”

I am sure you will find a woman better than me in the future, was what Ke Jia Lin had wanted to say. But, before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by the sound of Lu Ding Ning’s laughter.

“Since I have so many excellent qualities, do you think you are worthy of me?” asked Lu Ding Ning.

At this very moment, Lu Dingning looked like blooming poppies, sultry, and bewitching anyone who saw her whose eyes hid a hidden tenderness.

“Sorry. You think too highly of yourself!” Lu Ding Ning’s voice was still magnetic, but this time there was an added coldness to it. Charming yet able to send shudders down the back for whoever heard it.

It was at this very moment Lu Dingning shattered Ke Jia Ling’s arrogance.

Not even the thick makeup on her face could hide the look of embarrassment caused from the sheer humiliation that she had just experienced.

With no choice but to tolerate this humiliation, she could only grit her teeth to stop herself from retorting back. The only sign of her displeasure she could show was to tightly clutch her skirt with both hands.

Because, RM wasn’t something that her Ke family could afford to offend.

Even if RM was going downhill right now, the skinny dead camel was still bigger than a horse.

In the end, Ke Jia Ling could only grab the hem of her skirt and run back to the hotel in tears.

Observing the shrinking back of Ke Jia Ling, Lu Ding Ning’s lips quietly pursed together.

To be honest, Lu Ding Ning couldn’t quite figure out how her brother tolerated someone like this bitch. A bitch who acts like an innocent maiden but hides a vicious heart. Fuck, looking at her just makes one feel sick!

Lu Dingning, who was watching the running woman cry, had her lips raised in a devilish arc. As she raised her eyes, her gaze accidentally met a pair of black eyes that had a gaze as sharp as a falcon…….

The man was staring straight at Lu Dingning.

Lu Dingning was not at all flustered at the thought of having her true character exposed; but rather, she took a careful look at the person who was staring at her.

That man seemed to have been blessed by the heavens as he had exquisite and handsome facial features. But, it was his dark black eyes that impressed Lu Ding Ning the most. The sharp, icy cold gaze made you feel uncomfortable, as if you were stranded in a hole made of ice.

Even if you ignored his cold gaze, the man’s elegance made him look like the young scion of a rich family as he was wearing a navy blue shirt with sleeves casually pulled up with a pair of pants that accentuated his long legs.

Just casually standing near the entrance, made him seem out of this world. That, presumably, was his aura.

Honestly, even for someone like Lu Ding Ning, who was accustomed to hanging out with the rich and affluent in F country, had never seen someone with an imposing aura like the man in front of her!

Perhaps it was this imposing aura that made Lu Ding Ning take an interest in this person.

Staring at the man, Lu Ding Ning suddenly opened her mouth and smiled, then unexpectedly said, “Look again, and I’ll eat you up*!”

*Basically means, look again and I’ll fuck you up.
