Chapter 022: Come with Us, You Little Bastard

"Yesterday, the guy you kicked in the ass is also in our class! They are plotting to get back at you!" The note read.

Lin Yi smiled after reading the note. He didn't believe Chen Yushu was genuinely warning him; this girl always loved to stir up trouble. Her intention was probably to get him to deal with Zhong Pinliang and the others again, and she was likely annoyed by Zhong Pinliang as well.

The physics teacher was an old man in his fifties, but he was very knowledgeable. Although Lin Yi had studied the content before, he still listened with great interest.

After the first class, Zhong Pinliang called Gao Xiaofu and Zhang Naipao out, but they didn't come to bother Lin Yi, and Lin Yi didn't care about them either.

"Naipao, what's wrong with you?" Zhong Pinliang glared at Zhang Naipao angrily. "Didn't I tell you to give him a taste of his own medicine? What did you do?"

"Don't mention it, Brother Liang. I just stretched out my foot to trip him, but this guy stepped on my foot. Damn, it hurt like hell!" Zhang Naipao said with a bitter face. "It still hurts!"

"You let him notice?" Zhong Pinliang frowned. He had just been kicked by Lin Yi yesterday and knew how strong Lin Yi was. He guessed Zhang Naipao must have been in a lot of pain.

"I don't think he noticed. He didn't even look down," Zhang Naipao was also very suspicious about this.

"Damn, I can't believe we've been humiliated by a country bumpkin. During the break, we'll corner him in the toilet and show him the difference between urine and beer!" Zhong Pinliang said with hatred. Since he entered school, he had been one of the four notorious troublemakers and had never suffered such a defeat.

"And we'll show him the difference between poop and cake!" Gao Xiaofu added.

As they were discussing, a man with a cigarette in his mouth and dressed in black walked over. "What are you guys doing, Liangzi? Having a meeting or what?"

"It's Brother Ming!" Zhong Pinliang looked up and saw Zou Ruoming, one of the four notorious troublemakers, who was ranked second. This guy was even more wicked than Zhong Pinliang, and it was said that he had forcibly dragged a female classmate into a small forest and molested her in junior high.

Zou Ruoming nodded, enjoying the title "Brother Ming." His family background wasn't as good as Zhong Pinliang's, but he was more ruthless and had an older brother who was a gangster, which gave him a lot of power in school.

"Need any help from Brother Ming?" Zou Ruoming asked.

"Nothing much, just a country bumpkin transfer student. I'll show him who's in charge of this school in a bit!" Zhong Pinliang didn't want to lose face in front of Zou Ruoming and said nonchalantly.

"Shit! A country bumpkin, and you're having a formal meeting about it!" Zou Ruoming lost interest immediately, thinking it was something more interesting. He shook his head and left.

Recently, he had his eye on a girl from Class 9, Grade 3, and was thinking about how to get her. The girl was very proud, so Zou Ruoming was considering a forceful approach.

He called her "little sister" because he was in a college preparatory class, also known as "Grade 4," for students who didn't get into college. Zou Ruoming could go to college anytime by paying, but he chose to stay in high school because he enjoyed the life of being a big shot. He knew that once he went to college, this kind of life would be over.

College students and high school students had very different worldviews, and in a different place, he would be out of his family's influence. If he continued to act so recklessly, he would end up dead.

So, Zou Ruoming told his father that he wanted to study for another year and take the college entrance exam again. His father, seeing that his son was willing to study, readily agreed, not knowing about his son's schemes.

Lin Yi spent the first three classes in peace. Chu Mengyao acted as if she didn't know him at all and didn't even look at him. Chen Yushu, however, kept giving him suspicious glances.

Lin Yi naturally didn't think Chen Yushu had a crush on him; she probably just wanted to see him and Zhong Pinliang fight.

During the break after the third class, Lin Yi was about to go to the playground with his classmates when he saw Zhong Pinliang, Zhang Naipao, and Gao Xiaofu walking towards him.

Since he was in the last row, he wouldn't have to pass by them to leave the classroom, so it was clear that they were coming for him. Lin Yi knew that they would come for him sooner or later.

"Hey! Mengyao, look, Zhong Pinliang that idiot is going to confront Arrow Brother!" Chen Yushu had been paying attention to Zhong Pinliang and Lin Yi during the classes. Seeing Zhong Pinliang finally going to confront Lin Yi, she became excited.

She had long wanted to see Zhong Pinliang humiliated but couldn't do anything because of the elders. Now that someone else was doing it, she was naturally very excited.

"Oh? Then let Zhong Pinliang teach that bastard a lesson!" Chu Mengyao was still angry.

"Are you serious, Mengyao? Why are you siding with Zhong Pinliang?" Chen Yushu was surprised. "You don't actually like him, do you?"

"Who would like him? But I hate Lin Yi even more!" Chu Mengyao huffed. "Let's go, ignore him!"

"No, I want to see what happens. Who will win?" Chen Yushu pulled Chu Mengyao to stop her from leaving.

"Fine, I want to see that bastard get beaten up to relieve my anger!" Chu Mengyao said, but in her heart, she didn't really want Lin Yi to lose. Compared to Zhong Pinliang, she still found him less annoying. Although Lin Yi was despicable, he wasn't that bad.

So, the two curious girls held hands and hid at the classroom door, watching the scene inside.

"Kid, do you know why we're here?" Zhong Pinliang blocked Lin Yi, pointing at him with a smug look.

"Of course, because I kicked your ass yesterday and made you eat dirt," Lin Yi said calmly, as if it was no big deal.

"Damn, you know that and still act so arrogant? Do you think you're that tough!" Zhang Naipao glared and reached out to grab Lin Yi's collar.

"Does your foot not hurt anymore?" Lin Yi easily pushed Zhang Naipao's hand away, mocking him.

Zhang Naipao's face turned red. This was a humiliation he couldn't forget! Lin Yi must have done it on purpose!

"Kid, if you have the guts, come with us to the toilet! This is the classroom, and there are many people. If the vice-principal sees, it won't be good for anyone." Zhong Pinliang was so angry with Lin Yi that he was fuming. Was this kid really stupid or just pretending? Why was he so clueless? Didn't he know that they were going to beat him up?
