Su Wen’s heart filled with fury, and lost herself in her thoughts. She was just about to launch into a lecture and prepare to righteously argue with Shu Yian when she realized that the person in question was long gone.

“Shu Yian!” A certain someone yelled furiously and helplessly.

Zhou Yu, who was working outside, heard the shouting and quickly ran in, trembling from head to toe, “President Su, Miss Shu has just left.”

Su Wen asked with a cold face, “Did she say where she was going?”

“Yes.” Zhou Yu earnestly remembered Shu Yian’s expression and tone of voice when she walked out. There was a smile on her face and her tone was light and refreshing as she said to her,

“Zhou Zhou, I’m going to see my goddess Lin Ge. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Zhou Yu was proud of herself for imitating the scene to perfection, but for some reason the person in sitting across from her was emitting a murderous aura.

“She really looked happy?”

Zhou Yu didn’t dare make a sound. She was busy working when Su Wen had started yelling and everything was a bit chaotic earlier. Shu Yian did seem a little too happy just now, giving one an illusion that she and Lin Ge were a couple instead. Looking back on it now, isn’t Miss Shu supposed to be President Su’s fiancee?

Lin Ge seemed to sense that her words were a little rude so she hurriedly added, “But if An-An doesn’t agree, you can still ask President Su to come over.”

“No, no, no! No need to call her!” Shu Yian finally got rid of Su Wen and she had to pay the price of three day’s worth of wages deducted from her salary. Why would she call Su Wen over to make trouble for her again? Her brain is not that full of holes yet!

Lin Ge breathed a sigh of relief and asked, “An-An hasn’t eaten lunch yet, right? I didn’t expect you to come at noon so I just made a simple lunch, but if you don’t mind we can sit down and eat it together.”

“It is a blessing to be able to eat food made by my goddess.” Shu Yian didn’t bother with being polite and eagerly agreed. The food was already made. The kitchen was clean and organized, and one could tell that Lin Ge is a person who loves cleanliness. There were several side dishes exquisitely placed on the table, as if there was a ceremony for the placement of dishes.

One plate of lotus roots, one savory egg custard, and one serving of mushroom soup. It was clear that Shu Yian had arrived too suddenly and Lin Ge had only prepared meals for herself.

Shu Yian helped her bring the food to the table, but Lin Ge seemed to be worried about there not being enough to eat and asked her, “Does An-An want me to make a pot of dry-braised shrimp? I’ve already bought the ingredients and was going to make it for tonight.”

Sichuan dry-braised shrimp is one of Shu Yian’s favorite dishes. When she transmigrated into this world, she was not able to eat it as no one knew about her preferences. As she talked, Lin Ge’s eyes were completely focused on her and she gave her all of her attention. She is usually someone who likes to laugh but instead of answering with a smile, she said a little seriously, “But won’t there be a sense of distance then? Rather than being a goddess, I would rather be An-An’s friend.”

“We already are friends.”

But between friends, if one of them is so good there will always be a relationship of one looking up to the other. In this situation, isn’t it normal for her to praise the person she’s looking up to?
