Chapter 6

The production of these special minerals, though not high, is of great economic value and holds a very important position on the internal trading list of the organization... However, just half a year ago, the Sons of Ramis organization noticed that the shipment from one of the regions with exclusive procurement rights began to fluctuate, and then plummeted at an alarming rate. After eliminating all factors related to procurement and competition, the organization realized something was amiss and that the problem must lie with this region. They then dispatched a team to investigate.

Mingxi, a highly regarded prodigy within the organization, was also called to participate in this investigation to develop her ability to handle situations independently.

The region where this problem occurred had a name many years ago: Gran Forest...

After Mingxi and her team arrived, they conducted a series of investigations and gradually narrowed down the scope. They finally confirmed that the issue was within this area and identified the target: a mysterious laboratory that had recently appeared in the western part of Gran Forest.

The Sons of Ramis organization anticipated that they might encounter significant trouble, so they specially allocated a force to escort the team. To be prepared for any eventuality, they even invited the Moon Queen, Lina, to lead the team.

However, while the Sons of Ramis organization expected trouble, they did not anticipate that the trouble their dispatched team would face would far exceed their imagination. Even with the Moon Queen, Lina, leading the team, they were immediately attacked by a large number of mutated monsters and several mysterious powerful individuals upon entering the area!

The Moon Queen, Lina, was attacked by two mysterious individuals as soon as she appeared. Fortunately, she instantly activated a magic shield, but she was still severely injured and had to use a substitute doll to teleport away. Despite the Moon Queen's great power, summoning various creatures takes time, and without the protection of summoned creatures, her own combat ability is very weak. She was relentlessly pursued by the two mysterious powerful individuals, and her chances of survival were slim.

Then, a large number of frenzied mutated animals launched an assault, and hidden gunmen released cold arrows. The temporary defense line set up by the Ramis organization was on the verge of collapse. As the investigation team faced imminent disaster, Mingxi believed that only by summoning the powerful Fourth Apostle, Conqueror Cassius, could they stand a chance against the enemies!

However, summoning Cassius's projection is not an easy task. One must at least be a fifth-tier summoner and successfully complete the Moon Queen's ritual to gain the attention of a sliver of Cassius's true consciousness, thereby controlling this powerful summoning ritual. Mingxi's actual strength was only at the second tier, making it impossible for her to complete the ritual.

When everyone thought Mingxi had completely lost her mind, she demonstrated the qualities of a prodigy and elite summoner. She gathered the other three summoners present, drew an immature sacrificial summoning array on the ground, and began to lead the ritual, offering rare treasures as sacrifices, attempting to summon the powerful apostle Cassius's projection with the four of them working together!

The ritual was extremely difficult, and attempting to establish a connection with Cassius's projection was incredibly draining. However, Mingxi, true to her name as a prodigy, managed to do it, and the array began to operate laboriously and obscurely.

However, at this moment, the enemies also noticed the situation and began to try to disrupt the summoning ritual. Mingxi gritted her teeth and struggled to maintain the ritual, but at this critical moment, the mysterious individuals who were pursuing Lina from a distance unleashed a powerful ability: Gabe's Fist!!

The first step of Gabe's Fist requires the user to use a hyper-time device to create a dimensional space rift, after which Gabe's Fist can be summoned. When the dimensional space rift appeared, it immediately clashed violently with the immature summoning array, causing terrifying spatial turbulence and triggering a spatial storm!!

This unexpected spatial storm immediately affected the secret laboratory, partially destroying it and causing thick smoke to billow out. The mysterious forces that had launched the attack were also severely damaged by this unexpected explosion—incidentally, Du Yuqi saw the smoking building, which was the ruins of the destroyed secret laboratory.

More critically, the summoning array had already established a connection with the Fourth Apostle, Cassius, and was almost 99% complete, with the summoning channel already established. Due to the spatial turbulence caused by the explosion, the ritual underwent a mutation and, by a twist of fate, resonated with a location on Earth, opening a spatial channel and establishing a connection.

The three golden crystals that Du Yuqi and his friend Zhao Qiuyu saw were the offerings Mingxi had prepared to summon Cassius. Due to the mutation in the summoning array, when they reached out to take the golden crystals, they inadvertently completed the final step of the contract...

In other words, Du Yuqi and his friend Zhao Qiuyu were summoned to the Arad continent as summoned entities, along with the Fourth Apostle, Cassius!

However, the summoning array failed at the last moment. The dimensional laws, also known as the fishing net laws, impose significant restrictions on powerful individuals. Cassius, being too powerful, suffered the brunt of the spatial turbulence and was injured, failing to pass through the spatial channel, leading to the summoning failure.

Du Yuxi and Zhao Qiuyu, being very weak, managed to slip through the "fishing net" and successfully arrived in this world.

For Mingxi, although she was the primary cause of the spatial storm, she quickly recognized the situation and led her team to retreat early, thus only being affected by the aftermath of the spatial storm. Although she had temporarily lost her combat ability and was continuously spitting blood, she could be considered fortunate.

In contrast, the mysterious individuals and mutated beasts that had surrounded them suffered heavy casualties due to the spatial storm and were unable to pursue Mingxi and her team.

Mingxi's desperate attempt to summon Cassius was to escape the dire situation of being overwhelmed by the enemies. Although her summoning failed, it achieved its purpose. From the perspective of summoning, the skill failed, but from the perspective of a destructive spell, it was quite successful. As a result, her prestige within the team greatly increased, and she became the de facto leader of the remaining team.
