Suddenly, the white python straightened its head and looked into the air with its blue-grey eyes.
A tiny black spot was approaching their position.
Yang QiQi raised her hands and put her fingers around her eyes like binoculars to see the black dot more clearly.
It was too far to see but the vague outline of a bird was visible.
“Hiss~” The white python hissed, plucked three berries with its mouth, and threw them towards Yang QiQi.
Although Yang QiQi looked at the sky, most of her attention was still on the white python. Seeing it threw the fruits over, although she couldn’t guess its intention, she didn’t dare to contradict it. She reached out her hand and caught the three fruits perfectly.
The white python glanced at her with satisfaction and moved its huge body to the top of the tree. It coiled into the shape of a mosquito coil with his head erected. Its eyes were fixed on the bird in the air.
The top of the tree was thin and weak so it was tilted by the huge white python’s weight. The python couldn’t help adjusting its position which made the tree more curved. Despite doing the adjustment, its head was always facing the bird that was flying toward them.
Yang QiQi was surprised by its behavior. This python’s IQ was a bit too high, right?
The black spot gradually turned into a grey-feathered giant eagle as it got closer. The golden beak and sharp claws emitted a cold and sharp feel similar to metal under the bright sunlight. Its wings seemed to cover the sky. A small whirlwind formed in the sky due to the flapping of its wings.
Yang QiQi staggered a bit from the wind and retreated to hide behind a bush. It was unknown whether she had an illusion or not, but she felt the white python glancing at her. Maybe the reason why it did not come closer was the approaching powerful enemy. Yang QiQi also stopped moving back.
“Yoo~ Yoo~” The giant eagle chirped as it flew above the white python. It bent its neck to look down before straightening the pair of claws and swooping down at the python.
The white python clumped its body tighter to the tree thereby making it twist and stoop lower. Just as Yang QiQi thought that the tree would break, she saw the white python leap from the tree like an arrow. As soon as its upper body left the tree, the tree jounced from the sudden loss of weight. This elastic force acted on the white python’s lower body before it completely left the tree. The strength of its own jump plus the elastic force of the tree made its movement a lot faster. In Yang QiQi’s eyes, it was like a white-colored light chain shooting at the giant eagle in the air making a piercing buzz sound.
The springing tree continued swaying for a while making its leaves flutter in the air.
The giant eagle also felt that the situation was not in its favor. Was it okay to let the white python hit itself?
It fluttered its wings and tried to escape to a high place, but it was finally a step too late. The white python opened its mouth and its fangs bit on the thick flesh of its abdomen.
The giant eagle screeched in pain and its sharp claws grabbed the enemy’s body, immediately poking several bloodied holes.
Regardless of the pain, the white python coiled around the opponent’s body with its own body. In order to prevent the opponent’s beak from being used, the tip of its tail deliberately wrapped around the golden beak tightly.
Several grey feathers fell from the giant eagle’s body.
All this happened in the blink of an eye. From the call of the giant eagle to the successful attack of the white python, it only took an instant but Yang QiQi was waiting for this opportunity. Maybe others would stay for a while out of curiosity or even wait to see the winner but Yang QiQi had always been cold and rational. Putting herself in danger for curiosity has always been something she wanted to avoid.
She headed into the forest decisively. Gradually, the sounds of the eagle and snake faded out.
“BOOM!” There was a loud noise of breaking trees.
Either its wings could not support the heavy weight of the giant eagle or were entangled by the white python so it couldn’t fly. The result was undoubtedly falling to the ground and crushing the innocent plants.
Yang QiQi didn’t dare to look back. She tried to control her breath and walked at the fastest speed to lower her energy consumption when compared to running.
She didn’t dare to run. With her current body and injury, doing so would be similar to killing herself.
Seeing that both of them were tremendously strong, she considered it’d be best if they lost to each other.
But this possibility was not great.
From her observation, the giant eagle originally had the advantage of flying, but the clever white python used the flexibility of the tree to pull it to the ground. Although it could win given its size and strength, the white python had a higher IQ and the giant eagle’s chance of winning was small.
Unexpectedly, even after she walked a long way, no one chased her.
