Lisha cautiously stepped into the temple grounds. The temple usually had no walls, but it had a very clear boundary. If the Silver Skull got angry, the fence that was usually hidden underground would rise up, marking the boundary of the temple.
Lisha put one foot in, and seeing no reaction from the Silver Skull, she stepped in with both feet, keeping a wary eye on the Silver Skull as she quickly walked towards the Angel Skull.
Her attention was entirely on the Silver Skull, so she didn't notice the wings behind the Angel Skull as she approached.
As she got closer, the Angel Skull tilted its head in a daze, but its body arched forward like a taut bow. The moment Lisha stepped into its attack range, its wings spread out, and it pounced.
"Hey, what are you doing? Wings? Bird person? Ouch..." Lisha was hit, her hair disheveled, and she retreated in a sorry state.
Seeing the Angel Skull, which was tied by the neck, still trying to kick, Lisha laughed and said, "I see why you're tied up. You're a fighting bird, huh? What's going on? Why is there a fighting angel here?"
Anna cautiously slipped in, examining the Angel Skull, and said, "It's not a fighting angel; it doesn't have a holy aura."
Lan, being watched by the Silver Skull, couldn't slip in and shouted from outside, "Whatever it is, put some clothes on her first."
"Oh, oh, oh." Anna fumbled with a ring on her hand, and a white garment appeared in her hand—it was a storage ring.
She cautiously approached to dress the Angel Skull but, as expected, was met with an attack.
Anna stepped forward, lowered her shoulder, and charged, colliding with the Angel Skull and sending it flying.
One shoulder charge was enough to test the Angel Skull's strength, which made Anna bolder. She reached out and grabbed the Angel Skull's ankle, pulling it back from the air.
She dragged the Angel Skull to the end of the rope, her body and the rope taut, suspending it in the air.
With the rope around its neck and Anna pulling its ankle, the Angel Skull hung in the air, unable to find a foothold and could only kick futilely.
Anna threw the garment to Lisha and grabbed the other leg of the Angel Skull, holding it more securely in the air, saying, "Quick, dress her."
Lisha looked worriedly at the Angel Skull's neck and couldn't help but say, "You, you're being too rough. Be careful, you might break its neck."
"It won't. If you hurry, it won't. If you're slow, it will break itself," Anna said urgently.
They hurriedly dressed the Angel Skull. As soon as they put it down, Anna regretted it because the white dress she had taken out was too long and made the Angel Skull roll on the ground.
Anna pounced again, enduring several punches from the Angel Skull, and forcibly controlled it, tearing off the excess fabric to leave only a part covering the knees. This at least made it less cumbersome, though the stains on the garment couldn't be removed, leaving it a mix of white and gray.
"What the heck is this thing?" After finally getting the dress on, Anna had a moment to ask her question. She noticed that the Angel Skull was very agile, but its movements were restricted by the rope, and its strength was too weak. Otherwise, it would have been much harder to control.
Lisha had the leisure to observe with her soul and quickly concluded, "A skeleton, a skeleton covered in flesh. Oh my, a skeleton angel covered in flesh. It must be something Lord Ang created again."
"Uh, where did Lord Ang go?" Anna asked.
To be honest, finding someone in the Undead Temple who could communicate normally was not easy. In the end, it was the minotaur uncle who told them, "Oh, Lord went to find new farmland. The city lord took him there."
...
Under Phyllin's lead, Ang arrived at the underground city's farming area, the main food production area that sustained the city's population of over five thousand.
The farming area was actually a series of sinkholes on the ground, formed by the erosion of the earth over time, creating vertical pits. Over the years, fertile soil accumulated at the bottom, making it suitable for growing crops.
There were dozens of such sinkholes near the underground city, and the seven best were cultivated into farming areas. Phyllin brought Ang to one of them.
Because they were deep underground, the Resting Wind from the surface couldn't reach the pits, but this also brought another problem—insufficient light.
At the edge of the sinkhole, a large illumination magic array was engraved on the rock wall. Esk was in front of the magic array, injecting his last bit of magic into it, then panting heavily, "Oh, I'm old, I'm old, not as strong as I used to be. Just three trips and I'm exhausted. In the past, I could do seven trips a day easily."
Phyllin's face darkened when he heard this. Wasn't this a dig at him?
"Are you as old as me? You're not even sixty, and you're already talking about being old. I think you're just lazy."
Esk jumped up and turned to Phyllin with a smile, "How did you get here? Uh, who is this? Hmm?"
Everyone in the city knew about the mysterious person who had arrived, especially with the reopening of the temple and the visit to the glowing moss fields, which made everyone aware of the mysterious person's presence.
Although Phyllin kept it strictly confidential, everyone guessed it might be related to the Undead Empire because Phyllin was scavenging soul crystals to exchange for food.
Knowing was one thing, but Phyllin had forbidden everyone from disturbing Ang, so Esk had never seen the mysterious person, only heard that it was a skeleton.
Now, the skeleton that Phyllin was respectfully accompanying was undoubtedly the mysterious person, but why did it look so familiar?
Ang waved at him and tilted his head.
The head-tilt instantly confirmed Esk's guess, "It's really you?"
The mysterious person who had been talked about in the city was actually the dazed skeleton he had brought back? He had worried about it being too dangerous in the wild and told it that the underground city was safe.
For an existence of that level, where would be unsafe? It was too embarrassing, too shameful, and Esk's face turned red.
"What are you doing here?" Esk quickly changed the subject.
"The fields. Lord Ang wants to see the abandoned fields and see if there's a way to cultivate them," Phyllin said.
"Lord Ang, huh?" Esk suddenly remembered something else, "The glowing moss for lighting is Lord Ang's technology, right? It's so practical. Without the glowing moss, we had to replenish magic seven times a day, and the light was still insufficient. Now, with three trips, the light is enough."
