Peng! Just as the fat man was hesitating whether to jump or not, the door to the rooftop, which had been locked from the inside, made a sound as if it was being rammed. Then, with a bang, a huge green claw, covered in green slime, burst through the iron door of the rooftop, causing the fat man to tremble, almost losing his footing and slipping off the edge of the rooftop.
"I'm going to jump, you have to catch me." The fat man knew there was no time to hesitate, so he shouted to Wang Fusheng and took a few steps back. Just as the fat man was about to start running, the door to the rooftop was finally broken down by the zombie. The huge zombie let out a low growl and tried to charge towards the fat man, but the door was designed for humans, not for the zombie king, so the zombie got stuck in the door frame.
However, with a casual struggle, the zombie king made the entire building, which was already unstable, shake. The fat man, who was already trembling with fear, almost fell to the ground from the shaking. The fat man knew he couldn't hesitate any longer and quickly started running. When he reached the edge of the rooftop, he pushed off with his fat legs, closed his eyes tightly, and let out a high-pitched scream like a pig being slaughtered. His limbs flailed wildly, as if he were a pig about to be butchered.
As the fat man flailed, he felt his hands grab onto something, but before he could get a firm grip, his body started to fall, causing his scream to rise in pitch. However, just as his body started to fall, a large hand grabbed his wrist. Although the fat man's wrist was covered in greasy fat, the large hand held it like a vice, stopping his fall.
"Stop screaming like a fool. Why are you flailing your arms and legs while jumping? Are you trying to die faster? If you had been quiet, you could have jumped over directly," Wang Fusheng's low growl came from above, making the fat man's heart race, and he instantly quieted down.
"I'm not dead? Ha ha, I'm not dead. Hurry up, pull me up. Looking down like this is too stressful." The fat man cautiously opened his eyes and saw Wang Fusheng lying at the edge of the rooftop, holding him. The fat man's face lit up with joy, but when he glanced down, his body stiffened as if all his strength had been drained.
"You may be of medium to high height, but your weight is a bit excessive, isn't it? You should lose some weight," Wang Fusheng said, panting as he pulled the fat man up, then took a deep breath.
"Don't mention it. I used to try to lose weight through exercise. The amount of exercise increased, but so did my appetite. The more I exercised, the fatter I got, and I ended up like this. So don't talk to me about losing weight; I've given it up," the fat man said, waving his hand weakly.
"Let's go. If we can jump over, some of those zombies can too. We need to get down quickly," Wang Fusheng said, patting the fat man's shoulder and standing up.
"Should we wait here and kick any zombie that jumps over?" The fat man's eyes gleamed with a mischievous light.
"Let's not talk about that. The three-meter-tall zombie king is incredibly strong. Do you really think you can kick him down if he jumps over from a height?" Wang Fusheng glanced at the fat man.
"Um... I was just saying. Let's go quickly. As usual, you lead the way, and I'll cover the rear," the fat man said with a sheepish smile, looking at Wang Fusheng with a pleading expression and hurriedly pushing him forward.
After leaving that area, both Wang Fusheng and the fat man sighed in relief. Clearly, being surrounded by so many zombies was not a pleasant experience.
"Hello, my name is Peach Eyes. What's yours?" The fat man, whose chest jiggled with every movement, politely extended his hand to Wang Fusheng.
"Scavenger," Wang Fusheng said, looking at the fat man with a strange expression. If all the girls saw the fat man's "peach eyes," they would probably vomit at the sight of any peach for the rest of their lives.
"Scavenger, do you have any food and water? I'm starving after running for so long," the fat man said, seeing Wang Fusheng's strange expression and guessing what he was thinking. He wanted to explain but, looking at his own body, decided against it and asked if Wang Fusheng had any water and food.
"Yes, in my backpack. Let's find a safe place to talk, and I need to rest a bit."
"Where did you get this food and water?" In a relatively intact room of a building, the fat man asked while wolfing down compressed food and gulping down water.
At this moment, Wang Fusheng believed the fat man might really have gained weight from overeating after excessive exercise, as the fat man could eat a lot. Wang Fusheng could finish what a normal person would eat in a day in one meal, and the fat man could finish what a normal person would eat in two days in one meal, and still seemed unsatisfied.
"I exchanged points with the system, or with a nearby base, and they dropped it by air. What's the problem with that?"
"Air-dropped, was the plane piloted by a human or a drone?" The fat man's eyes lit up upon hearing Wang Fusheng's response.
"I don't know, but the transport plane was small, about ten meters long. It could be piloted by a human or a drone; I can't tell," Wang Fusheng said, frowning as he recalled the plane.
"What was the flight altitude, speed, and direction?" The fat man's questions became more detailed.
"About 1100 meters in altitude, 500 kilometers per hour, or 138.9 meters per second. What's the matter? What are you planning?" Wang Fusheng looked at the fat man with curiosity.
"Are you interested in shooting down a plane with me?" The fat man rubbed his hands together, excited, but Wang Fusheng found his expression rather sleazy and dirty, as if 'shooting down a plane' had a special meaning.
"Shooting down a plane? How? Climb a tall building and shoot it with a bird? Can you pee that far and with that much force?" Wang Fusheng scrutinized the fat man.
"Damn, what kind of look is that? I'm human, not a monster. When I say 'shooting down a plane,' I don't mean it like that. When I entered this wasteland, I saw the ruins of a TV station in the north, with a signal tower that wasn't heavily damaged. If you can find some electronic components and the signal tower is still functional, I can simulate the base's control center and trick the plane into landing. But it must be an unmanned drone; a manned plane can't be tricked," the fat man said, his eyes gleaming.
Wang Fusheng's eyes also lit up. As for why a manned plane couldn't be tricked, it was because humans have their own thinking abilities and don't just follow system commands blindly. Therefore, sometimes the most easily manipulated targets are intelligent systems, provided you can write the electronic command program to make them accept it.
"How confident are you?" Wang Fusheng, though a former soldier, had spent five years in the African Star Region, the most dangerous and chaotic region in the galaxy. He was not a rule-follower, so the fat man's suggestion of 'shooting down a plane' was a bit illegal, but the benefits were very attractive. Besides, it was just a small transport plane, not a fighter jet, so even if they got into trouble, it wouldn't be a big deal in Wang Fusheng's eyes.
"If it's a drone, I'm 100% confident. As long as I have a computer to write the program and the signal tower is functional, I can definitely succeed. But if it's manned, we'll be in danger," the fat man said.
"That's not a problem. In the worst case, we can run. In this war-torn wasteland full of zombies, unless they bomb the entire area, they won't catch us," Wang Fusheng said, waving his hand, but then frowned and added, "If it's an unmanned drone, where will it land? Even a small transport plane needs a runway, and the airport in this city is probably in ruins and can't be used."
"That's not a problem. Not far from the signal tower, there's a road with a relatively intact base, about eight meters wide and over 100 meters long. It can easily accommodate a small transport plane, and even a large passenger plane," the fat man said excitedly.
"You've observed it so thoroughly. Did you plan this from the beginning?" Wang Fusheng looked at the fat man in surprise.
"Well... I thought about it when I first entered this game. But with zombies everywhere, I couldn't do anything except run. I was too weak to get what I wanted, so I couldn't implement it," the fat man said, scratching his head sheepishly.
