“Didn’t you say you’d leave a trail, Your Grace?”

“There was some of that.”

“I almost issued an emergency warning because I couldn’t find it no matter how hard I looked!”

“I’m glad you didn’t.”

“Why is that arm like that, Your Grace?”

“I fell off the horse.”

Bran calmed down after seeing Klaus’ condition and called a physician.

Klaus, who sat in the study and checked Bran’s report while receiving medical treatment, couldn’t take a breather until the sun went down.

For a brief moment, the grand duke’s palace was on high alert. He even had to write a short article about the citizens who would have been concerned if even the knights had been dispatched.

Klaus sighed as he examined his bandaged right arm.

He was only hurt that much and he looks pitiful.

“What happened, Your Grace?”

“I met Craig.”

Klaus pressed his stinging temple down.

“What!? Cra-Craig…Do you mean Craig Colt? He appeared!?”

Bran, taken aback, stuttered and yelled. It wasn’t like Klaus, who expected him to appear from the moment he realized it was something Palletas did. Bran had not anticipated it in the least.

“Is he….alive…?”

“Didn’t you expect Palletas to grow?”

“No. I mean, is the Craig I know still alive?”

“He’s no longer alive.”

At Bran’s darkened complexion, Klaus clicked his tongue.

“He is Dustin’s adversary. He is no longer the Colts’ son, who are devoted to Dustin’s.”

“Yes.”

“He approached Meriel. Make a point of following her whenever she goes out in the future.”

“I will, Your Grace.”

Bran nodded, uncomplainingly. He was supposed to keep Meriel from leaving, but she refused to be restrained.

Fortunately, Grant’s security was intact. Grant, the only place Palletas couldn’t get to was the city where the Grand Duke’s palace was located. It also had to deal with the rats.

“How about the mouse?”

“I told Eirin to look into it as a top priority.”

“Palletas’ henchmen have arrived in Grant. They kidnapped Meriel and stole the Grand Duke’s carriage.”

“I’ll look into it.”

“What is the capital city’s main gossip?”

Klaus rose to his feet, rubbing his tired eyes.

Bran, who had previously responded quickly, paused for a moment before responding.

“The Grand Duke.”

“All right,” he said, nodding his head as if expecting it.

“You appear to be forgetting, Your Grace, but I’m not a secretary, I’m a knight commander.”

“So, what’s that?”

“I recommend that you hire a secretary. This is labor exploitation.”

He made a tearful face that was out of proportion to his stature. Klaus spoke with an irritated face as he watched Bran speak with his hands and muscles.

“Bring a capable person, then.”

Klaus slammed the study door shut and stormed out, as if he couldn’t bear it any longer.

Bran sighed and returned to his office, where he was confronted with a slew of documents entrusted to him. The Grand Duke may not require the services of a secretary, but he must do so himself.

Returning to his bedroom, Klaus had no choice but to take a bath with the assistance of his attendants due to his injured right arm. He preferred to bath alone, so enlisting the assistance of others was awkward for him.

As he put on his robe and lay down on the bed, he sensed a presence in the connection with Meriel’s side door. He heard her words as soon as he assumed she was awake.

“Because I’m hungry, I wanted us to eat together.”

It was late at night. He’d finished his work, taken a bath, and then skipped dinner because he wasn’t hungry. Meriel brought food to share and stood in front of the side door.

‘What are you doing?’ he pondered.

Klaus leaned back in his bed and looked out the side door.

“You sprained your arm, I’ll feed you.”

Meriel’s self-talk from outside his door sounded like she was practicing what she was going to say to him. Klaus drew his pillow up to his chin and closed his mouth.

He burst out laughing as soon as he realized why she was doing it.

“Just shut up and eat.”

She is lovely when she speaks softly and even when she is sarcastic.

Klaus laughed quietly, imagining her practicing her solo routine in front of his door. He was, to be precise, burying his face in his pillow while his body shook from laughter.

He felt better just imagining it.

The door swung open, and Meriel walked in. When she noticed him trembling to hold back his laughter, she pouted her lips with a pouty expression. She approached and sat down by his bedside with a murmur.

Her white bare legs were visible through the gaping robe as she sat. Klaus struggled to keep his gaze fixed on her face. He couldn’t see any skin other than her legs due to the gown’s tight ties.

Klaus opened his mouth to be fed by the sandwich she had brought. He couldn’t stand how she blushed with embarrassment.

Laughter continued to leak out, to the point where the title of monster grand duke did not suit him.

She’s a lovely lady.

She was a woman who was everything in the world to him, to the point where he thought she was a gift from God.

He missed her all the time. He adores everything about her.

“Klaus, kids don’t behave like this.”

“……”

“You can see that I am not a child.”

“……”

He thought he could control his mind because her gown was so tight, but she untied all the laces herself.

She even sticks out her tongue, licking his fingers, and gets on top of him, biting his ear, Meriel nipping the strings of her gown.

“How about you?”

Klaus couldn’t take it anymore. As her body touched his face, he reached out to her. She is far too beautiful not to want her.

Despite the pain in his injured right arm, he wrapped his hand around her waist.

He didn’t want her to. He seemed to understand what she wanted, why she came to see him tonight, and why she’s seducing him by taking her clothes off.

She was afraid of being alone.

Even in the hut, he could tell when she dozed off while holding him. It appears that the anxiety and fear captured by Craig last night cannot be easily erased.

Her trembling body as she seduced him first proved it.

Meriel clearly needed him, but she also seemed to have a reason for doing so, she needed to shake off her fears from the night before.

Nonetheless, if she can be reassured, he will be happy to do whatever she wants.

“I’m here, Meriel.”

‘I’ve always been by your side since then.’

It was at this point that his lips turned to Meriel’s neck, hoping for her relief. A red spot on her neck drew his attention. He was irritated, so he left his own tooth mark on the spot.

“Ah!”

Meriel gently pushed her shoulder, pleading with him to stop, but he didn’t. He despised seeing the marks of other men on her body. He desired to completely engulf her in his presence.

Meriel trembled as he licked and caressed her wounds after deeply engraving his teeth on her.

Meriel wrapped her arms around Klaus’ neck, sensing his heartbeat.

“Are you jealous?”

“This proves it.”

“Proof?”

“Yes,”

So no one can hurt her and no one can touch her body.

The hand that encircled her waist descended gently along the inside of her arm. He touched her warm legs as he moved down her slim waistline.

Despite her petite stature, he swept her thighs, which were not thin.

“Your arm hurts.”

“Are you telling me to come all the way here and endure it?”

Meriel smiled mischievously, as if she was having a good time. It was a completely different smile than the one on her blushing face. While exhaling hot breaths, she exuded confidence. Klaus felt as if he was losing for no apparent reason. Such thoughts, however, were fleeting.

“Wait a minute…I’ll do it.”

“What? Meriel!”

She smiled brightly as she untied her gown’s strap and drew down her underwear.

She teased her hand so deftly that it was hard to believe she had only recently had her first experience.

Her touch, which began with a solid muscular shoulder and moved through his chest and over his belly, was dizzying.

She smiled as she stared at the enraged object beneath his belly, as if he was determined to tease her.

“Please,” he said quietly, pleading.

In his mind, he expected her to lie down and shove his into her at any moment. It was so hot that his stomach felt like it was being yanked.

“I can’t believe this came into me…” she mumbled, ignoring his plea.

She continued to caress him while uttering admiring words. It was her idea to touch him, but does she realize how erotic it appears?

Klaus resented the fact that he couldn’t move his right arm freely.

Then he exhales.

Meriel’s softly furrowed brows drove him insane. He couldn’t take it anymore. That’s enough if she’s been playing with him this much.

He snatched her arm and kissed her on the lips.

He sensed her softness and lowered his hips to merge with her.

His body was overcome with an unbearable sensation.

“Argh!”

“Aahh…”

He could feel her insides as he came in. Meriel’s body was trembling, and he leaned against her shoulder, which was more stimulating than the last time. He was anxious that he wanted to run wild.

Meriel’s voice pierced his ears as he gently shook her hips, heightening his mood. He tightened his hold on her hips with one hand.

As he left a tooth mark on her neck, he bit her lips roughly, causing a moan to break out between her lips.

It was unfortunate that he couldn’t move as freely as he would have liked.

“Argh!”

He pretended to be familiar with it despite the fact that he wasn’t, and he pretended to be shy and calm. It irritates him that he can’t give her more because his arms can’t move freely.

He felt pitiful when he realized how weak he is, and he felt even worse for himself when he desperately wanted her at this very moment.

He didn’t stray from wrapping his arm around her, holding her hips with one hand and moving his hips vigorously. Their bodies join together and dance to a specific beat.

It was a primal instinct.
