After work, Bai Weijin made a rare outing to the supermarket.

Bai Weijin was so busy recently, and she finally got a break. So she decided to treat herself to a square meal.

As soon as she entered the door, Bai Weijin froze after seeing the shoes at the entrance. Gu Yeze had already arrived home, but there was a pair of high heels next to his.

Bai Weijin remembered this pair of high heels, which belonged to Tan Xin.

Hearing the sound of Bai Weijin opening the door, Tan Xin stood up from the sofa.

Then Bai Weijin nodded to Tan Xin and walked to the kitchen.

Tan Xin gazed at Bai Weijin’s back, with a meaningful look in her eyes.

Standing in the kitchen, Bai Weijin cooked with ease. However, her inner heart was not calm.

‘Gu Yeze always had zero tolerance for outsiders in his house. Even housekeepers come during the daytime when he is away.’

‘But now, there is another woman right now in the house.’

‘Is Tan Xin so special to Gu Yeze?’

“Do you need any help?” Behind her suddenly came Tan Xin’s gentle voice. Bai Weijin was thinking and nearly cut her fingers.

“No, thanks. He is not used to eating other people’s dishes.”

The “He” certainly referred to Gu Yeze. But as if Tan Xin couldn’t understand what Bai Weijin said, she went into the kitchen directly and rolled up her sleeves.

“Don’t worry. I often took care of him for Aunt Zhou when he lived alone.” She unaffectedly picked up the meat that Bai Weijin put on the plate and began to cook it.

‘Aunt Zhou?’ Bai Weijin knew that Gu Yeze’s mother’s surname was Zhou.

“Yeze is picky about food and has no time to eat when he is busy, so he always has stomach problems.” said Tan Xin with her head tilted.

Bai Weijin pretended to be indifferent, “So did you take care of him before?”

Tan Xin now felt Bai Weijin’s obvious hostility. ‘Aha, can’t bear it anymore?’

Bai Weijin’s intuition was true. It was clear that Tan Xin wanted to make Bai Weijin sick. Now Tan Xin’s fox tail was exposed, but Bai Weijin wasn’t afraid at all.

Tan Xin Smiled.

“Well, sorry to bother you.”

“It doesn’t bother me at all since I’m cooking for myself and my husband. It’s Miss Tan that doesn’t get it.” Bai Weijin was no longer polite.

Tan Xin seemed to be a little surprised that Bai Weijin now simply had no intention to hide her hostility. She thought that Gu Yeze’s wife wasn’t too smart.

“No, you misunderstood.” Tan Xin didn’t want to argue with her on this matter and went out.

Gu Yeze vaguely heard their conversation downstairs, and he came down with some documents.

He glanced at the shoes at the entrance and knew it was Bai Weijin that came back. Then he walked towards the kitchen directly, but was stopped by Tan Xin.

Gu Yeze looked at Tan Xin, who stood next to him. Then he remembered documents in his hand.

“Here you are.”

Tan Xin stretched her hand and took what Gu Yeze handed her. Then she put the documents away. What Tan Xin wanted to do next was to grasp the opportunity offered by the centennial celebration of Gu’s Group.

Tan Xin was looking for a good opportunity for Tan’s Group to prosper again, which was another important thing for her to accomplish after returning home and was also what they discussed in Gu Yeze’s office during the day.

Gu Yeze was keenly aware that Tan Xin was about to say something but stopped.

“Any problems?”

“Your wife seems to have a prejudice against me. I think you should ask her.” Tan Xin hesitated and then winked at the kitchen in a playful and helpless way.

Gu Yeze paused.

“What do you mean?” Gu Yeze thought that Tan Xin had some doubts about the documents, but he didn’t expect that she would talk about this matter.

“Perhaps she already knew our past relationship and now feels a little uncomfortable. I will try not to appear in front of you in the future,” said Tan Xin with her head lowered.

After hearing what she said, Gu Yeze replied indifferently, “What relationship could we have? Weijin isn’t such an unreasonable person.”

Tan Xin nodded in relief, “That’s good.”

When Bai Weijin came out, what she saw was that Tan Xin tamely nodded at Gu Yeze.

“Why is Mrs. Gu in the mood to cook today?” Gu Yeze raised his eyebrows. Since Bai Weijin married him, she had never gone to the kitchen again after cooking several times.

It was supposed to be a joke, but now Bai Weijin felt it all the harsher.

“What? Did you mean that I didn’t take good care of you, right?” Bai Weijin threw the vegetables on the table and went into the kitchen without looking back.

Gu Yeze was puzzled by her sudden temper and felt that Bai Weijin was angry for no reason.

Tan Xin looked at the figure of Bai Weijin, with complacence in her eyes. But she perfectly disguised it in the next second and changed into a worried look, “Yeze…”

Gu Yeze did not even bother to look at her.

“You go home first.”
