Laiyin Hotel had fifteen storeys. The first floor was for halls and the reception, the second to third floors were for KTVs, the fourth to sixth larger banquet halls, and the rest were all single rooms for small to medium-sized party.

Bai Weijin and Gu Yeze’s wedding was to be held on the fifth floor, at the largest banquet hall of the hotel.

At the backstage of the banquet hall.

A make-up artist was refining Bai Weijin’s makeup, while Gu Yeze seemed to make some instructions quietly to his assistant.

“Sorry, Ze. I’m late.” A gentle voice came from the doorway.

Bai Weijin raised her head.

It was a kind man, totally different from Gu Yeze. As a line went, there was a young man on the bridge, mild and well-mannered, whose beauty and bearing defied description. His smile could gladden people’s heart and refresh their mind.

He was in a white suit with a red flower on his chest. It was not until then that Bai Weijin learned that there was a groomsman on their wedding.

Gu Yeze came up, gave the man a thump on the chest, and smiled, “Why are you so late?” ”

Gu Yeze rarely wore such a sincere smile, which greatly aroused Bai Weijin’s curiosity about the man.

That man gave a wry smile, “I stepped off the plane just now and got changed in the car in order not to miss your ceremony. Luckily, I do not.”

“This is Miss Bai, right?” He suddenly changed the topic and fixed his eyes on Bai Weijin who, sitting in a chair, looked at him with curiosity.

Bai Weijin rose to her feet and reached out her hand, poised and confident, “You’re right, I’m Bai Weijin. Nice to meet you.”

The man laughed and intended to shake hands with Bai Weijin, only to be stopped by Gu Yeze. “It’s so petty of you to deny us a handshake.” He ridiculed Gu Yeze.

Gu Yeze gave him a glare, and turned around to introduce him to Bai Weijin, “This is Chu Jiran, my good friend.”

Chu Jiran stopped making fun of Gu Yeze and nodded slightly at Bai Weijin.

He was Chu Jiran? Bai Weijin had heard about him. The young boss of Chu’s Group took over the company two years ago, so there was little news about him outside. Unexpectedly, the two formed a deep personal friendship.

It was said that Chu’s Group was on the verge of collapse when Chu Jiran took it over. However, two months later, he managed to bring the company back to life.

No matter whether there was possible assistance from Gu Yeze, he was definitely a remarkable figure.

Due to his return from abroad two years ago, there was nearly no information about his previous life. His warm personality as well as the vigorous and resolute measures in business had become a common impression of him in recent years.

While they were chatting, the make-up artist came up and tied the veil over Bai Weijin’s head which had been removed in order to touch up makeup.

The wedding host’s voice came from outside. He skillfully created an atmosphere of joy and relaxation. The audience were amused greatly and gave rounds of applause from time to time.

“Come on, it’s the time. I can introduce you to each other when we’re free.” After saying it, Gu Yeze strode out.

Bai Weijin lifted the hemline of her long dress to keep up with him, and the make-up artist and several assistants helped hold the long tail. When they passed Chu Jiran, he saw a fold on the skirt and smoothed it.

Gu Yeze slowed up, waiting for Bai Weijin to keep pace. She turned her head, to find a snigger on the corners of his mouth. She asked in puzzlement, “What are you laughing at?”

“Nothing.” Yet his smile broadened.

“We’re going to see some fun.” In a long while, Gu Yeze finally opened his mouth.
