His clothes all splashed with wine, Gu Yeze changed in the VIP room. His attention was just now on Bai Weijin who made a nice gesture towards him.

So he didn’t notice anything odd about Yan Sheng.

As a result, as powerful as he was, Gu Yeze had no idea what was going on outside.

Yan Sheng kept washing his face in the washroom, which, though, failed to calm himself down.

He felt the blood racing through his veins.

Bai Weijin’s silhouette flashed in his mind.

He struggled to overcome his fear of Gu Yeze’s influence and stepped outside resolutely.

“Sister Weijin…” Yan Sheng finally found Bai Weijin in a corner of the garden.

The expression on his face made Bai Weijin confirm her suspicions. She silently gave a sneer, while her voice became tender and soft.

“What’s wrong with you? Are you feeling ill?” Bai Weijin moved close to Yan Sheng and whispered a word in his ear.

When a forceful woman began to show her tenderness, no man would restrain himself from being moved, let alone Yan Sheng who felt greatly aroused.

He couldn’t help but come closer, while Bai Weijin took a few steps back.

“Please don’t. Someone will see us.” Bai Weijin put on a show of shyness.

Yet Yan Sheng couldn’t wait.

“Let’s go upstairs. There are rooms available…” Bai Weijin tempted him in a softer voice. On hearing what she said, Yan Sheng went into raptures and gave a hurried nod.

She murmured a room number in his ear and ran away.

Yan Sheng caught up.

In a room on the second floor, Zhang Ranran lounged in a chair playing on the phone.

After a scolding from Gu Yeze, she was in no mood for fun but browsed WeiBo blogs in an empty room.

The door flew open. Zhang Ranran thought someone might come to the wrong room.

“Weiwei…” Yan Sheng muttered.

Zhang Ranran’s English name was Vivian, which sounded like ‘Weiwei’ in Chinese. She simply misheard the word and raised her head.

Before she could see the face clearly, Zhang Ranran was pinned to the chair.

Zhang Ranran let out a cry. Yan Sheng was now completely out of his mind and didn’t find the woman wasn’t Bai Weijin.

While Zhang Ranran was still struggling, there came clicks of cameras from outside. She instantly felt that the paparazzi came to take photos of her.

On thinking of the possibility that the sex scandal would hit the headlines tomorrow, Zhang Ranran now had a vivid picture in her mind—the public would heap reproaches on her.

Yan Sheng didn’t notice several cameras facing him until Zhang Ranran cried out in alarm. He regained consciousness and got up, charging towards the door.

“Stop! Which newspaper do you come from? How dare you?” Yan Sheng tried to cover the cameras with his hands, but the reporters still clicked away.

Some were even recording.

Zhang Ranran dared not raise her head. She hid under the garment Yan Sheng just took off, weeping in fear.

“Stop shooting! Stop!” Yan Sheng completely came to his senses. He got into a panic and even smashed a camera.

There was a lot of noise here, which soon attracted the attention of people downstairs.

At this time, Gu Yeze came with a few of bodyguards in black. On entering the room, he ordered in a vicious tone, “Give him a good thrashing.”

On his instructions, the bodyguards beat the living daylights out of Yan Sheng while avoiding his death. The torture was unbearable.

It was exactly Gu Yeze’s style.

After changing his clothes, Gu Yeze took a nap in the VIP room, where the roar of Yan Sheng could be heard.

With a long face, Gu Yeze asked what happened there.

The investigation didn’t last for long. His men quickly found out all the details by following the clues and even tracked down the waitress who cowered in a corner.

Before his people gave a blow-by-blow account of what had happened, Gu Yeze rose to his feet and rushed there with a frightening expression.

‘How dare Yan Sheng inflict evil on her? I’ll have his guts for garters.’

Yan Sheng was no match for the bodyguards Gu Yeze had carefully selected. Soon he lay motionless on the ground.

The reporters stared at them in stupefied amazement and were at a loss whether to continue.

They were sent by Bai Weijin to take photos of Yan Sheng, while things went on beyond their expectations. Yet they dared not act rashly before Gu Yeze for reason of not only his identification as Bai Weijin’s husband but his great influence in H City.

Yan Sheng found himself unable to stand up.

Gu Yeze didn’t give a damn about him at all. He turned around and was inclined to fix Bai Weijin.

Why didn’t she inform him of her dangerous situation but chose to solve it by herself? What a conceited woman she was!

Who would expect Bai Weijin not to ask him for help after she muttered about Yan Sheng before him?

If she did, he could have certainly saved her the trouble.

One of those reporters told the whole story to Bai Weijin. Her countenance kept changing while she was listening.

As soon as the reporter left, her arm was grabbed.

The grab was so powerful that Bai Weijin shouted in pain. She turned away and lost her temper when she found it was Gu Yeze.

Somehow she used great strength to shake off Gu Yeze’s hand, “President Gu seems to be pretty ostentatious! The news that your ex was raped actually impelled you to hire a gang of thugs to beat Yan Sheng black and blue.”

She did deliberately lead Yan Sheng to Zhang Ranran’s room with an eye to scaring the annoying woman.

But she didn’t mean to hurt the woman substantially, and none of the correspondents she hired pointed their cameras at Zhang’s face. Instead, they shot a vague silhouette of her only.

Gu Yeze was dumbfounded by her words.

“Why are you speechless? Since you are genuinely concerned for the woman, how about marrying her? Luckily, Grandma isn’t the pedantic kind.” Bai Weijin spoke with an overbearing air.

Gu Yeze broke into a smile, and his smile broadened little by little.

The reporter didn’t know the truth behind what had happened, so he just described what he saw to Bai Weijin. She naturally thought Gu Yeze bristled at the sexual harassment his bosom friend had suffered.

She was simmering with rage when Gu Yeze’s smile made her flesh creep.

Bai Weijin took a few steps back, “What are you laughing at?”

Gu Yeze grabbed her by the arm and held her close. His deep voice was pleasing to the ear, “Bai Weijin, are you getting jealous?”

Bai Weijin was stupefied by his words. Her head began to whirl, and lots of thoughts were crowding her mind: her being absent-minded these days, her feeling uncomfortable when encountering Zhang Ranran, and her vexation at the news that Gu Yeze took it out on Yan Sheng who had offended Zhang Ranran.

‘Am I falling in love with Gu Yeze?’ Bai Weijin blinked.

“Tell me, are you jealous?” Gu Yeze’s face rubbed Bai Weijin’s ear.

Bai Weijin got goose pimples all over, but she wasn’t the kind to beat around the bush.

Now that she realized her admiration of Gu Yeze, Bai Weijin would neither shun him nor refuse to admit that. She looked at Gu Yeze.
