When the sex finished, the food had got cold. Gu Yeze was in a good mood, sitting in a sofa and watching Bai Weijin heat the dishes helplessly in the kitchen.

Despite having lived a life of luxury, he enjoyed the reheated food now.

After dinner, Gu Yeze took Bai Weijin upstairs and got her into bed again.

Gu Yeze glanced through the statements of Yan’s Group and found that the company had turned around months ago by illegal means.

Before he did not even bother to look at such small companies as Yan’s, while now he was disgusted to find the dirty deeds they had done.

Including Yan Sheng’s getting a schoolgirl pregnant and then abandoning her.

“Hand these files to Bai Weijin.”

He planned to make her handle the petty scoundrels personally.

The documents came as a surprise to Bai Weijin, though she had found out something unlawful about Yan’s business activities and assigned Zhang Lanxin to look into it.

The praise went to Zhang Lanxin’s head when Bai Weijin complimented her on her work this morning.

Yet Bai Weijin didn’t expect that Gu Yeze could find out such detailed and secret information.

The evidence against Yan’s was overwhelming.

Bai Weijin ordered her people to distribute these documents to those companies on which Yan’s had laid heavy hands from behind the scenes.

A large number of enterprises were proved to suffer from its dirty tricks, not a few of which were H City’s giants. What if they were aware that Yan’s had caused them countless losses?

No doubt that they would not let Yan’s off lightly.

Having given instructions, Bai Weijin was awaiting the outcome with interest.

“Hello?”

It was Gu Yeze calling. Bai Weijin was in a good mood and answered the phone in a pleasantly cheerful voice.

Gu Yeze for the first time savored the sweet taste of power.

“Are you content with my contribution, my dear wife?”

“I couldn’t be more content.”

On hearing her words, Gu Yeze showed a beaming smile.

They had nothing to do but to wait for news about Yan’s.

News of Yan’s Group stunned H City earlier than they had expected.

Several companies joined forces to sue Yan’s Group while Yan Sheng and Yan Liwei were still immersed in the happiness of solving Yan’s crisis.

Shortly afterwards, the company was confiscated.

Yan Sheng was completely muddle-headed at the sight of the heavily armed police, “What’s the matter?”

“I’m afraid you need to come with us.”

Yan Sheng was still struggling, while his father resigned himself to the arrest and let the police handcuff him. Yan Sheng was baffled, “Dad?”

Yan Liwei shook his head in despair, for he’d come to realize what they had done was made public.

Yan Sheng and Yan Liwei were separately held in custody. The court would hear the case two days later.

A policeman came up, “Yan Sheng, someone wants to see you.”

Yan Sheng saw a glimmer of hope. Was Mo Kaige coming?

Yan’s had already sunk into the mire, but Mo Kaige was likely to find a way out, at least a way of getting him out of this cell.

He followed the policeman out, brimming with such confidence that even the handcuffs meant nothing to him.

Yet the reality fell short of his expectations.

It was nobody but Bai Weijin.

Yan Sheng was suddenly on high alert, “What are you here for?”

Bai Weijin sat in a chair, putting her bag down, “I come to see you, my ex-fiancée, for I’ve wondered what you are like now.”

Yan Sheng stared at her bleakly without a word.

Bai Weijin rubbed her chin, looking at his unshaven face, “To be honest, I owe it to you that I don’t need to be imprisoned now. Thank you for marrying my sister in the very beginning instead of me.”

“Bai Weijin, don’t push me too hard!”

“I push you too hard? The punishment seemed very light. Since you were bold enough to drool over me, you should have expected you’d come to a bad end.”

Yan Sheng clenched his fists, the handcuffs clacking.

Bai Weijin continued, “Calm down. I haven’t finished with you yet. Do you think Bai Yinya can escape? I’ll deal with you one by one.”

Yan Sheng didn’t in the slightest care about what would happen to Bai Yinya, the mad woman.

His indifference sickened Bai Weijin. ‘Luckily, Bai Yinya managed to seduce the scum who always put on a gentlemanly look before our engagement was broken off.’

“I’m here to tell you that Yan’s will be in my name. You might as well grin and bear imprisonment. After all, full board and lodging is provided here.”

Her remarks were dripping with sarcasm. Yan Sheng flew into a rage and wanted to beat her up, to find that there was a layer of glass between them. The policeman also immediately stopped him, “Behave yourself!”

Bai Weijin stared at him tauntingly.

Time was up. Bai Weijin picked up her bag and stepped outwards. Suddenly she turned away and spoke on purpose, “A word of advice: Try to reform yourself, and you may gain a commutation of the sentence.”

Yan Sheng hated her guts and regretted having slobbered over her.

Among the witnesses to the collapse of Yan’s Group, many felt insecure at the moment.

Bai family was no better.

“Dad, I want a divorce with Yan Sheng.”

Bai Hongbo rubbed his forehead, looking pretty worn.

Bai family and Yan family had been united through marriage for mutual benefit, yet Yan’s was of no use to them now.

Bai family was also in imminent danger.

“If it’s an unhappy marriage, then end it.” Bai Hongbo talked in a high-sounding way, as if he agreed to it for Bai Yinya instead of for his own good.

Bai Yinya didn’t care what her father thought. She knew that her purpose was achieved, rushing at drafting the divorce agreement.

Yan Sheng almost burst into laughter at the sight of the agreement.

The woman who claimed days ago to pester him all her life now couldn’t wait to draw a clear line with him on hearing that Yan family ran into trouble.

“For fear that your family would suffer with us?”

“Stop your nonsense!” growled Bai Yinya. “Your wish of divorcing me can finally be fulfilled, so why not sign the paper so that we can break up peacefully?”

“Break up peacefully? Bai Yinya, do you remember what you said the other day?”

“Times have changed.”

Yan Sheng gave a grim smile.

“Sign it, or I’ll disclose the terrible deeds we’ve perpetrated. Anyway, my reputation can’t be worse, and I don’t mind adding more stains to it.”

Only shameless people would do such shameful things.

Yan Sheng fixed his gaze on her face and picked up a pen.
