Chapter 5

"Hey, is that a bad joke...?"

"Lady Swordmaiden is all over the exiled black magician..."

At the guild—

Male adventurers murmured in shock.

In front of them stood Tio, who had just entered the guild, and Iris, who was clinging to his arm, pressed closely against him.

Iris was a powerful A-rank adventurer.

She was known as the solitary swordmaiden who looked down on those weaker than herself and never formed a party with anyone.

Combined with her beautiful appearance, she was regarded as a high and distant flower among male adventurers.

For such an Iris to be clinging to Tio, who had been expelled from the hero party and had even class-changed to a black magician, a class often mocked as the lowest, it was only natural for the adventurers to react this way.

(Why won't she let go even after we left the dungeon...)

Tio, aware of the gazes around him, wore a troubled expression.

She had said she wanted to stay like this until they left the dungeon...

But when he tried to pull away, Iris looked like she was about to cry, so he ended up coming all the way to the guild with her.

"Excuse me, I have a report to make..."

"Yes... what is this situation!?"

When Tio called out to the receptionist, who had been looking down and doing paperwork at the counter, she let out a surprised exclamation.

She alternated her gaze between Tio and Iris, who was rubbing against him like a cat, as if she were looking at something unbelievable.

"There are various circumstances... but first, I need to report that two Lesser Dragons appeared on the tenth floor of the dungeon."

"Huh? Lesser Dragons on the tenth floor? Is that true...?"

The receptionist looked skeptical at Tio's words.

Iris, however, glared at her coldly and sharply—

"Do you doubt Lord Tio...?"

The receptionist let out a small scream, "Eek...!?"

It was only natural, given that Iris was an A-rank adventurer with the rank of Sword Saint.

"I-Iris, calm down... We need to explain things in order..."

"Yes! As Lord Tio commands♡"

When Tio gently reprimanded her, Iris once again wore a melted expression and started rubbing against him.

The solitary swordmaiden obeying a lower-ranked black magician...

The receptionist could only gape in disbelief at this unbelievable situation.

"Anyway, I'll show you proof of the Lesser Dragons' appearance. Can we borrow a spacious place?"

"A spacious place? The guild's backyard is available..."

"Alright. Please lead the way."

The receptionist, with an expression that seemed to ask, "What are you planning to do...?" started guiding them to the backyard, apparently too afraid to ask any strange questions for fear of being glared at by Iris again.

"Then... *Black Storage*!"

Once they reached the backyard, Tio extended the hand not being held by Iris and chanted the skill name.

A vast black mist filled the yard.

The receptionist let out a small scream, "Kyaa!?" at the sudden appearance of the mist.

But she soon let out an even louder scream when the mist dissipated, revealing two dead Lesser Dragons.

"L-Lesser Dragons... no doubt about it! H-How did you...?"

"Hehehe... I was cornered by these two, and Lord Tio saved me all by himself."

"A-Are you serious, Iris?"

"Do you doubt my words... or Lord Tio?"

"Kyaa!? B-But Tio is a black magician!?"

While letting out a small scream under Iris's pressure, the receptionist managed to respond.

Just as the receptionist was about to say something, Iris emitted an irritated aura, but Tio intervened, saying, "Calm down, calm down."

"Can you at least believe the report about the Lesser Dragons?"

"Y-Yes. I'll report it to the higher-ups immediately!"

"That's good. By the way, is it possible to buy these corpses?"

"Of course! I'll give you a high estimate for the Lesser Dragons' corpses!"

Hearing the receptionist's enthusiastic response, Tio smiled in satisfaction.

Iris, however, looked displeased that Tio wasn't trying to get the receptionist to acknowledge his feat of slaying the Lesser Dragons, but she quickly followed him closely as he walked into the guild.

There was a bar inside the guild.

Tio decided to wait in the bar until the appraisal of the Lesser Dragons' corpses was complete... but—

"Lord Tio, I'll give you your drink♡"

"N-No, I can drink it myself..."

Iris, still clinging to Tio, placed the drink in front of him.

In fact, sitting next to him had only increased their closeness.

"Iris, how long do you plan to... and why are you being so close?"

"L-Lord Tio, are you really going to say such things in front of everyone...?"

Iris blushed and rubbed her thighs together shyly.

The innocent Tio, genuinely confused by her words, wore a puzzled expression, "Huh...?"

"Oh... that expression! I want to eat it...♡"

Iris's eyes sparkled with small hearts as she let out a sweet voice.

Tio's heart skipped a beat at her seductive response.

The surrounding adventurers, watching the two, were—

"Damn! Damn! How envious!"

"Explode already!"

—engulfed in a storm of jealousy.
