"Still, there are really a lot of people..."
Even if I want to defeat the monsters, every time they spawn, there’s a scramble to snatch them.
The third floor of the dungeon is quite spacious, but with trees scattered across the grasslands, it’s easy to spot enemies.
Each party has decided on a fixed position, taking breaks while waiting for the monsters to spawn and then moving in to defeat them once they do.
"Well, with such good conditions, it’s no wonder it’s like this..."
We can regroup after each battle, and if we’re in a pinch, we can also ask for help from the surrounding parties.
As I had heard, the third floor seems to be a popular spot for adventurers.
"Maybe it’s better to head down to the sixth floor as soon as possible..."
In dungeon exploration, there’s a significant difference in level between those who stay up to the fifth floor and those who can conquer the sixth floor.
I want to get stronger as quickly as possible to win against Walter.
"Hey, they spawned."
A pair of Warrior Kobolds spawned closer to my side than the middle of the area.
Because they were close, they started moving towards me.
I drew my Magic Dagger and approached the Warrior Kobolds.
Thinking about quickly defeating them to level up my new class, I was planning the steps to take them down when...
"Huh?"
"Kyaa..."
An arrow flew and pierced the Warrior Kobold.
"What... What are you doing?"
As I was confused, a male warrior approached.
"Ha! That’s the end of this one!"
He cut down the Warrior Kobold that had been hit by the arrow from behind.
"You guys, surround and finish off the other one!"
The remaining one was being fought by three adventurers. Although their movements weren’t impressive, they would soon take it down by surrounding it.
The male warrior, after confirming that the fallen Kobold had been absorbed into the ground, tried to leave.
"Wait a moment."
"What? Got a complaint or something?"
"The monsters were coming towards me. What’s with that attitude after stealing my prey?"
I had seen them forcibly pulling the monsters that spawned in the middle towards their side several times. I had been willing to let it slide to some extent, but this level of blatant poaching was too much to ignore.
When I protested, the warrior smirked.
"Huh? You’re claiming the right to this hunting ground all by yourself? And you don’t even have a party?"
"What’s up, leader?"
Another adventurer approached, making a big fuss.
"This guy’s trying to pick a fight with us."
"That monster was clearly targeting me. Cutting in from the side is against the rules, right?"
From the looks of it, they were adventurers one level below me.
They should have learned this in the adventurer training period, but it seemed they had forgotten, so I decided to remind them.
"Rules? In real adventuring, that stuff doesn’t matter. Here, the one who lands the first hit gets the right!"
But the warrior brought up some mysterious rule.
"Hey, everyone. Isn’t that right?"
The adventurer parties around me, all of whom seemed to know each other, grinned and nodded in agreement.
"Look, isn’t this guy the one who specializes in Skillless Goblins?"
One of them noticed my identity and pointed at me.
"So, we actually helped this guy out. Shouldn’t he be thanking us instead?"
They didn’t seem to notice the silver plate hanging around my neck.
"Hey, senior. We’ve been adventurers for a month and have come this far. We don’t need orders from a failure like you. Get lost, you’re in the way."
Because of my reputation, they completely looked down on me.
I confirmed with the warrior who was about to leave.
"Hey, what did you say?"
The warrior turned back, not hearing me clearly.
"I said, the one who lands the first hit gets the prey, right?"
"Hahaha! What can you do with just that dagger!"
"Sure, go ahead! We’ve got a mage and an archer, so try to land the first hit if you can!"
"Remember those words?"
Amidst their laughter, I made sure to emphasize my point.
