Later, Xia Xingcheng curled up in Yang Youming’s arms again and slept. It was a deeper sleep than before. When he woke up, he found that Yang Youming had already gotten up.

Yang Youming was wearing an ash-blue crew neck sweater and light brown trousers, sitting at the foot of the bed with one leg folded across his knee. A white ankle was exposed under the hem of his trousers, and his back was slightly bowed–head lowered as he typed on his phone.

The blackout curtains in the room opened a sliver, and a beam of warm yellow sunlight happened to shine on where Yang Youming sat, enveloping him completely. In the sunlight, his hair and sweater looked fluffy, and it was like he was crowned with a halo. His entire being exuded a warm and gentle air.

Xia Xingcheng was dazed as he stared at the perfect lines of his side profile, and couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.

Just then, Yang Youming turned to look at him, put his phone aside, and asked, “What are you laughing at?”

Xia Xingcheng was still completely naked. He stretched his arms out from under the covers and said, “I can’t believe I actually slept with Yang Youming.”

Hearing this, Yang Youming unexpectedly also laughed, saying, “Were you satisfied?”

Xia Xingcheng didn’t expect him to ask this question, and suddenly felt a little embarrassed, but he feigned a cheeky manner and nodded. He moved his body that was still concealed by the blanket, and was still able to recall the pleasure of losing control earlier.

Yang Youming continued to watch him as he asked, “Are you hungry? Do you want to go out to eat?”

Xia Xingcheng abruptly remembered something else. He turned to look for his phone on the nightstand, but couldn’t find it. He asked Yang Youming, “What time is it?”

“It’s almost twelve,” Yang Youming said.

Xia Xingcheng sat up all of a sudden, surprised that it was already noon. He had no other plans today and originally purchased a return ticket to go back this afternoon, yet he ended up sleeping in Yang Youming’s room till now. Huang Jixin had probably gone crazy trying to find him.

He tore open the covers and got out of bed, yet his legs went soft as soon as he stepped on the carpet. It’s been a while since he indulged in lust like this.

The clothes that had been thrown on the floor have been collected by Yang Youming, and they were now neatly folded on the chair next to him. Yang Youming groped for his phone, but couldn’t find it in his pockets.

Yang Youming watched him move about and said, “I didn’t see your phone.”

Thinking back, Xia Xingcheng recalled that he probably didn’t even bring his phone over last night–Huang Jixin had probably truly gone mad this time around.

Yang Youming looked at his somewhat panicked expression and said, “Just now, Li Yun called to tell me that your agent is looking for you. He went to Li Yun’s place and wanted to ask if I had seen you.”

Xia Xingcheng looked at Yang Youming.

Yang Youming continued, “I told her to tell your agent that you’re here with me.”

Just as he finished speaking, both of them simultaneously heard a knock on the door.

Yang Youming stood up from the side of the bed and said to Xia Xingcheng, “Put your clothes on.” then proceeded to head outside.

Xia Xingcheng didn’t have a change of clean clothes, so he could only put on what he had worn for yesterday’s award ceremony.

As he was getting dressed, he heard Yang Youming walk outside to open the door, and then the sound of Huang Jixin’s voice resonated through a wall, like a buzzing that couldn’t be heard clearly.

After putting on his shirt and trousers, he walked out, and once Huang Jixin caught sight of him behind Yang Youming, he glowered fiercely.

Yang Youming said, “Come in and talk.”

No one wanted to be seen by anyone outside.

Huang Jixin walked in and closed the door. It was evident that he was furious, yet he suppressed it with great effort as he said to Xia Xingcheng, “There’s still time for us to get to the airport.”

Xia Xingcheng didn’t answer him, but looked at Yang Youming and asked in a worried tone, “Ming ge, when will you leave?”

Yang Youming told him, “I’ve booked a ticket for the day after tomorrow.” After saying that, he saw that Xia Xingcheng was still looking at him and added, “I’ll be staying here for the next two days.”

Xia Xingcheng then said to Huang Jixin, “Help me change my ticket to the day after tomorrow.”

Huang Jixin’s face fell on the spot, and he no longer hid his frustration as he said, “Come back to the room with me, I have something to say to you.”

Yet Xia Xingcheng said, “I don’t.”

“Xia Xingcheng!” If it weren’t for the fact that they were in front of Yang Youming, Huang Jixin feared that he would’ve already raised his fist.

Xia Xingcheng’s attitude was unprecedentedly firm, “I’m not leaving.” There was a bit of inexplicable stubbornness in his heart. When he told Yang Youming that he wasn’t leaving, Yang Youming replied that he could, so he was afraid that once he leaves, Yang Youming wouldn’t give him the chance to come back.

Huang Jixin restrained his angry look.

At this time, Yang Youming said, “I’ll go out and ask Li Yun to buy some food. If you have something to talk about, stay here and talk.” With that, he went back to the inner room to get his coat, and when he returned, he patted Xia Xingcheng on the shoulder as he passed.

Huang Jixin knew that Yang Youming was giving them space and nodded to Yang Youming in gratitude.

Without a word, Yang Youming opened the door and went out.

As soon as Yang Youming left, Huang Jixin immediately shouted at Xia Xingcheng, “You get the hell back and pack your things and go home right now!”

Xia Xingcheng wasn’t offended by his attitude, yet acted as if Huang Jixin’s words had gone in one ear and out the other. “I’m not leaving.”

Huang Jixin stepped forward to drag him back, yet when he grabbed Xia Xingcheng’s wrist, his movements suddenly faltered.

The collar of Xia Xingcheng’s shirt was wide open, and on his neck, two red hickeys were distinctly visible.

Although Huang Jixin had already guessed what happened when Xia Xingcheng spent the night in Yang Youming’s room, seeing those traces of intimacy with his own eyes still made his heart tremble. He released his grip on Xia Xingcheng’s hand and weakly said, “What on earth are you doing?”

Hearing that his tone had eased up, Xia Xingcheng’s attitude eased up as well. He said, “I don’t have any schedules. You go back to the company first and call me if you need anything.”

Huang Jixin heaved a deep sigh, “What are you staying for? Having an affair with Yang Youming?”

Xia Xingcheng wasn’t exactly fond of that wording, “He’s already divorced, what affair are we having?”

Huang Jixin said, “But he’s a man. Forget the fact that he’s a man, even if he was a woman, with his current age and status, you’ll be under a lot of pressure if you’re together with him. My little brother, do you really understand the situation?”

Xia Xingcheng was silent for a moment and said, “I’ve thought it through.”

“What the hell have you thought through?” Huang Jixin hated that he couldn’t slap him awake, “It’s not going to work out with him anyway, so why take such a big risk and risk losing your entire career for one moment of carelessness!”

Xia Xingcheng said, “Who said that it wouldn’t work out with him?”

Huang Jixin asked him, “How long did your previous girlfriend last?”

Xia Xingcheng didn’t answer. After a moment, he said, “He’s different–he’s not like anybody else.”
