“She’s not with us.” Hong Qingyi shook her head.

“Weren’t you with her? How do you not know where she went?” Chi Mengyan frowned. In this large and swarming crowd, it would be hard to find the little rabbit.

“She pointed somewhere in that direction and said she was going over there to play. I followed her but we got separated by the crowd and then she just disappeared.” Gu Anran smiled bitterly.

The meat seemed to be torn directly from the meat itself as it did not appear as neat and clean as meat sliced off.

“Can’t you eat a little more decently? They’re serving the food on plates so why do you have to eat like this?” Gu Bing’s usually stoic face twisted into disgust as she pulled Chi Wenyan away from Hong Yan. All face was lost just by being with her, it would be better to just stay away from Hong Yan and pretend one doesn’t know her.

“Hey, this is how you eat meat! It only tastes good if one eats it like this!” Hong Yan said with displeasure and then took another big and bold bite of her meat.

Chi Wenyan glanced at the carrot doll Mu Qingli was holding in one hand and asked,

“Rabbit girl, did you win this? You’re even more amazing than I thought!” Looking at the quality of the stuffed toy, it must have been the best reward available among the game booths.

“Nope, it was Anran who gave it to her~” A smile broke out on Mu Yu’s face and she blinked furiously at Gu Bing and Chi Wenyan to signal her hidden thoughts.

Gu Bing and Chi Wenyan: ……how is she a rabbit and not a fox? Look at that fox-like smile on her face! She must’ve been born into the wrong species or her mother took home the wrong child. Just look at how she’s already scheming something that involves even her little sister! Someone take her away before she does something!

“Where are Anran and the others?” Hong Yan asked casually as she wiped the grease off her lips with the back of her hand.

“Uh…aren’t they behind me….” Mu Qingli turned around and saw that none of her friends were behind her. The crowd was still bustling but her friends had all disappeared!

“They were probably separated from you by the crowd.” Gu Bing comforted Mu Qingli with a pat on the head.

“En……” Mu Qingli said despondently. Then she suddenly remembered why she had come looking for her sister in the first place and quickly patted her sister,

“Older sister, I’ve been feeling very strange lately. My heart keeps beating really fast and my face always feels like it’s on fire. Am I getting sick?!”

“Ahem….” Mu Yu almost choked on her spit, she didn’t expect that Mu Qingli would ask such a question all of a sudden.

“Qingli, have you’ve been feeling like this for a couple of days now? Should we go see a doctor?”

“But I only feel this way when I’m with Anran! None of this happens when I’m alone or with my other friends, so I can’t confirm if I’m sick or not. That’s why I came over to ask you!” Mu Qingli said.

Then her tone took a serious tone as she continued, “But do not believe anything your sister teaches you! Do not take her words seriously or else you will be scarred for life!”

“Hey, hey, Gu Bing, what are you saying?!” Mu Yu protested loudly. Originally, she planned to drag her sister home and then lock her up into the study with a few ‘important’ books. “We split up to look for you and I bumped into Mengyan just now when I saw you.” Hong Qingyi explained.

“Let’s go and find Anran together then. We’re just about to cook all the seafood you guys caught today. You guys can eat all the shrimp you want later.” Gu Bing nodded.

“Shrimp!” Hong Yan and Mu Yu’s eyes widened.

“Yup, that’s right~ Our daughter caught a lot of shrimp and after splitting it among the clans, we got around 25 for our share.” Chi Wenyan smiled smugly as she looked at Hong Yan and Mu Yu’s drooling faces.

“What’s a shrimp?” Chi Mengyan asked with a tilted head. The young beasts are not given shrimp to eat most of the time so it was natural for her not to know about it.

“I’ve eaten them only once and they are delicious! So full of meat!” Hong Yan licked her lips, as if she could taste the shrimp now.

“Alright, alright, settle down. There are 25 shrimps, plenty enough so that each of you can eat a few. Let’s go find Anran first.” Gu Bing waved helplessly and then turned towards Hong Qingyi, “Qingyi, where did Anran go?”

“Well, she headed that way.” Hong Qingyi pointed in a direction. That direction was the only place where there were no game booths, and only a few little beasts went over there. Most passed through that area and if any little beasts went too far off in the direction and tried to go pass a certain point, a passing beastman would quickly call them away from there.

Gu Bing’s expression completely changed when she looked over in the direction Hong Qingyi pointed at.

Even the smile on Mu Yu’s face disappeared, replaced with a solemn expression.

“Did Anran go far in that direction?” Chi Wenyan lifted Hong Qingyi up by the neck and asked.

“I-I don’t know….I only know that she went that way to look for Qingli.” Hong Qinyi looked startled. Chi Wenyan was using a lot of force and it caused her to frown a little in pain.

“Hey, Wenyan, calm down, you’re hurting my sister.” Hong Yan grabbed Chi Wenyan’s wrist.

“Sorry….” Chi Wenyan apologized softly and quickly let go.

“What’s wrong? Is there something bad about that place?” Hong Qingyi looked at Gu Bing and the other adults in confusion. She looked over at Mu Qingli and Chi Mengyan but they also looked confused and didn’t seem to know what was so bad about the direction Anran went in.

“Let’s go find Anran first….we’ll tell you when we get there….” Gu Bing took a deep breath before ominously spitting out this sentence.
