After quietly listening to the opinions of the officers, Lady Gilne crossed her arms and spoke.

"… I will apologize to Tim for the insults he received just now. You may leave now."

"―What!? Lady Gilne, are you in your right mind!?"

"You should never bow your head like that!"

The officers were flustered by Lady Gilne, who refused to change her mind.

Well, the one who was almost fainting from shock was me.

"Are you all in your right minds? I said I will let it go this time. It's best if you leave immediately."

"But, there is the matter of importance! For someone important to the guild—"

"This is the result of considering the importance. I have decided that it should take precedence over dining with you. I won't say it again."

"Gr… I apologize."

Pierced by Lady Gilne's gaze, which seemed to carry a murderous intent, the officers left the room dejectedly.

All of them gave me a look that seemed to say, "I'll remember your face."

"Tim, I now understand a bit of how you are treated normally. It's truly terrible."

Lady Gilne murmured this and then really bowed to me.

I was so taken aback that I prostrated myself, bowing even lower than Lady Gilne.

Her head, which is revered by a thousand guild members, cannot be lower than mine.

"Hehe, I don't think I can outdo you when it comes to bowing. The guild members should actually be bowing to you, not me."

Lady Gilne laughed at my ridiculous appearance.

Her beauty was so stunning that I forgot to breathe, mesmerized by her.

"Tim, I'm sorry for interrupting your work. You are busier than anyone else."

"N-no! It's not like that! I can only do menial tasks…"

"Those 'menial tasks' are what keep this guild running. Unfortunately, it seems only I have noticed."

"S-such… such kind words are too much for me to bear."

"You are a bit too modest. Alright, I'll come to pick you up tomorrow. Can I meet you in the cafeteria?"

"Y-yes! Yes, I'll be there!"

Lady Gilne, with an excited expression, extended her hand to me, who was prostrate on the floor.

I hesitated, looking at her white, very beautiful hand.

"I can't possibly trouble Lady Gilne with my hand…!"

"Y-yes! Holding hands is too early! No, don't misunderstand, I didn't have any ulterior motives! Really!"

Lady Gilne, suddenly speaking rapidly, blushed and pulled her hand back.
