Chapter 42

We borrowed horses in the "Village of the Ranch" and headed to Tzile at a leisurely pace. The pace was slow, of course, because I was a bit unsure about my horse-riding skills...! I could ride, but riding a horse does require some getting used to. However, by the time we arrived in Tzile, I could ride normally, and I thought the game was amazing. Maru.

It hasn't been that long since I last came, but I returned to the "Holy Capital Tzile."

"Wow, this is my first time seeing such a big city, nya! What's that crystal castle I can see over there, nya!?"

"That's like the castle of this city, or rather, this country. It's a grand cathedral made of crystal where the Pope lives. There's also the 'Frodia Grand Cathedral' in the central square, which anyone can enter, so I think we'll have a chance to go there."

"It's a place to pray to the goddess Frodia, nya?"

"Exactly. Tarte, you're well-informed."

When I nodded, Tarte showed a big smile. He seemed happy to be praised. My disciple is just too cute, isn't he?

"First, let's secure a place to stay, and then... how about a little sightseeing? We can go to make the 'Adventurer's Bracelet' afterward."

"Wow, I'm so happy, nya!"

Tarte, who was jumping with a full smile, is still so cute.

We stayed at the "Crescent Inn" again. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the innkeeper is a friendly and nice person, making it a very comfortable place to stay.

After quickly arranging the room, we headed out into the city.

"This city has a lot of water, nya."

Tarte, seeing the waterways flowing throughout the city, said, "It's convenient, nya." I remembered that in Ketsi's village, they drew water from a well. Thinking about it, this city, where water can be drawn from the waterways, must be very convenient. Moreover, the water is clean, so it can be used for various purposes.

"This water flows from the Holy Tree. Later, you might want to buy an 'Empty Potion Bottle' and stock up on water. As an 'Alchemist,' it's not a bad idea to have one."

"I'll draw a lot of water, nya!"

Tarte is burning with enthusiasm at my words.

After getting the 'Adventurer's Bracelet,' we plan to buy an 'Empty Potion Bottle' and other consumables. Alchemists use a lot of materials, so you can never have too many. It's common for the storage to be empty before you know it... Oops, no, no, we're supposed to be sightseeing now.

"There's a food stall over there, shall we go check it out?"

"Yes, nya!"

In the southwestern part of the city, there's a street lined with many food stalls. It's a bustling place, especially during lunchtime and in the evening. There are various foods, from meat as the main dish to side dishes like salads, fruits, desserts, and cookies.

Tarte, with sparkling eyes, is completely captivated by the food stalls.

"It smells so good, nya! There are so many foods I've never seen in Ketsi, nya!"

"Let's eat what you like."

"Yes, nya!"

Tarte, full of energy, answered and, sniffing the air, was drawn to one of the stalls. The sign had a picture of a donut. The donuts being sold are only one type, plain. Tarte seems to be the type who goes for dessert first at a buffet.

Tarte came back with a donut in each hand, smiling.

"This is definitely delicious, nya! Let's eat it together, nya."

"Thanks."

Tarte's tail is standing straight up, so he must be really eager to eat. When I took one, Tarte bit into the donut with a big mouth. His tail then started to sway, a sign that he's enjoying it.

I also took a bite of the donut, which was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. It was quite filling and satisfying.

"Mmm, it's delicious!"

"I could eat as many as I want, nya!"

Tarte, who finished the donut in one go, was already looking at other stalls. It seems he's quite a food lover. It's okay, I'll treat you to as much as you want, my disciple.

This time, we enjoyed a dessert made from fruits coated in sugar syrup, had some skewers, and some stick vegetables, laughing about the reverse order of eating. Tarte still wanted to eat a lot more, but unfortunately, his stomach gave out first. We promised to come back and left the food stall area.

We bought some skewers as souvenirs from the food stall area and headed to Grandma Lumina's house.

Our goal is the 'Adventurer's Bracelet.' Since we have all the quest items, as long as there are no restrictions like only players can accept the quest, Tarte should be able to accept it. I'm not sure if the quest window will appear, though...

"I'm nervous, nya."

"Grandma Lumina is very kind, so it'll be fine."

When we knocked on the door, Grandma Lumina appeared right away. She was surprised to see me but quickly smiled.

"Sharon, is that you? You've come at a good time."
