Chapter 7

2 min read545 words

Cecilia had been writhing alone in the room for a while, but when the maids appeared in a hurry, they quickly tidied up her attire, makeup, and hairstyle.

Cecilia was naturally so beautiful that she didn’t need to wear flashy makeup or hairstyles. Therefore, the maids had sometimes wondered internally if her requests were really okay.

However, because it was a request from Cecilia, they had always made her look not only beautiful but also alluring, even with heavy makeup.

But now, they could focus their entire being on making Cecilia look even more vibrant.

"You look truly beautiful, Miss."

"This must be a blessing from God."

"It seems like a new door is about to open. Yes, it has opened."

The maids murmured such things.

Cecilia gazed at her reflection in the mirror, momentarily wondering if this was really okay.

Since she always wore heavy makeup, she wondered what Six would think when he saw her like this.

Just as she was thinking this, there was a knock on the door, and she was informed that Six was waiting in the parlor.

Cecilia thought she needed to stay calm, but that resolve was quickly shattered.

Her parents, whom she thought would be there, were not, and they were alone.

When she asked the butler, he said they had been told to talk slowly and privately. Of course, the butler and maids were not in the room, so they were truly alone.

Warm tea and pastries were prepared, and the two sat facing each other.

Cecilia kept glancing at Six, and he smiled softly at her nervousness.

"From your expression, did you hear the conversation from somewhere?"

Cecilia's shoulders trembled, and she blushed, nodding slightly.

"Yes. I'm sorry. I saw you from the window and secretly listened to the conversation."

When Cecilia honestly admitted this, Six looked surprised and then smiled.

"I see."

Cecilia, still nervous, tried to ask about something that had been on her mind.

"Um, I think I look different today. My makeup and this outfit, um, what do you think, Prince Six?"

She wanted to ask what he thought but was unsure how to phrase it.

Should she ask about his preferences? And if she did, what would she do with that information? Would she try to match his preferences?

Cecilia searched her mind for the right answer.

Six smiled gently and said, "Cecilia, you were always so beautiful, but today you look very cute."

"Huh?"

"What do you like, Cecilia?"

"Huh?"

Cecilia paused to think.

What did she like? And what had she been suppressing all this time?

Then, she slowly spoke.

"I don't really like... flashy things that much."

"Understood."

"I like cute things."

"Hehe, they suit you."

"Also, I prefer soft, pastel colors over bold reds."

"Bold colors suit you too, but soft colors will definitely look good on you as well."

"Also, um..."

At that moment, Cecilia realized she had been forcing herself all this time. She felt that Six was listening to her opinions.

Six said quietly, "I'm really happy to hear what Cecilia has to say."

"Would you like me to match your preferences?"

At those words, Six moved in front of her, knelt down, and held her hand tightly.

I'll do my best! (●´ω`●)
