The crowd surged past Gao Feng like a tide.

Gao Feng moved against the flow, his steps steady and his gaze resolute. Even Jiaojiao, who he was holding, looked curious, showing no signs of fear.

The green dwarves were not unintelligent. Seeing Gao Feng moving against the flow, the few at the front slowed their steps. Gao Feng smiled slightly and handed the laser gun to Lin Fei, who was hanging by his side.

Fingerprint activation was a bit troublesome, but with Lin Fei right there, it wasn't difficult to activate the gun. Gao Feng used Lin Fei's hand to raise the gun and fired at the leading green dwarves.

The laser gun was actually a high electromagnetic pulse gun. It didn't use physical bullets but relied on high electromagnetic pulses to compress the laser bullets for lethal force.

This gun had excellent penetration, capable of piercing a one-centimeter-thick steel plate within a hundred meters. However, it was very complicated to operate, not something you could just point and shoot.

But after gaining the memories of the next hundred years, Gao Feng could skillfully operate any standard weapon in the Galactic Alliance.

Even though he was using Lin Fei's hand, it didn't affect Gao Feng's accuracy at all.

"Zzzz..." The laser gun hummed softly as Gao Feng fired several dozen shots. The bright blue laser bullets left trails of blue light in the air.

On the other end, the four leading green dwarves had their heads blown off. Disgusting green blood splattered everywhere.

The remaining green dwarves were shocked and realized the danger. They began to dodge in various ways. Their small, agile bodies moved much more nimbly than an average person. Especially when a group of green dwarves jumped and darted around, it was dizzying to watch.

Gao Feng, however, remained calm and fired each shot, always managing to blow off a green dwarf's head.

"Zzzz..."

The bright blue light crisscrossed in the air, forming a curtain of death.

Jiaojiao watched with wide eyes. If not for the tense situation, she would have wanted to try it herself. To her, it seemed like a simple shooting game, requiring no physical movement and no difficulty at all.

Some of the fleeing people also realized something was wrong. Turning back, they saw this scene and were stunned. Gao Feng, firing the gun, seemed like a gun god. As adults, they had all used laser guns before. Two of them had even tried to resist with their guns.

But these green dwarves were too agile, fast, and small. They jumped around, making it impossible to lock onto a target. Although the laser gun had an automatic locking system, only experienced veterans could operate it skillfully.

Most importantly, in such a tense moment, who could remain calm enough to shoot accurately? A few missed shots would quickly make them panic.

"Zz..." The laser gun's muzzle dimmed, its energy depleted. Only two green dwarves remained on the other side.

The dwarves also realized the problem. Their ugly faces twisted into a human-like sneer, and they leaped at Gao Feng like two ugly toads, using their limbs to propel themselves.

The few people behind were shocked. One of them shouted, "Run!"

But Gao Feng suddenly shrugged, throwing Lin Fei, who was on his shoulder, to the side. The green dwarf that pounced from the left couldn't avoid it and was slammed to the ground by Lin Fei.

Although they were agile, their bodies were too small. Being hit by a person weighing over a hundred pounds almost knocked them unconscious.

Gao Feng, freed from the burden, felt lighter. He drew the Sifeng sword from his waist, took a step forward, and thrust it straight into the heart of another dwarf. The sword, like clear autumn water, pierced through the dwarf's chest.

With a swift flick, the green blood formed a beautiful arc as it was flung away. Turning around, Gao Feng slashed diagonally, severing the head of the dwarf pinned by Lin Fei.

A thrust, a flick, and a slash, smooth and fluid. The two dwarves were eliminated.

Gao Feng twirled the sword, cleaning the blood off the blade, and sheathed it.

Lin Fei, thrown by Gao Feng, was jolted awake. But as soon as she opened her eyes, she saw Gao Feng's sword coming at her and fainted again from shock.

Gao Feng was a bit helpless. It turned out this sharp-tongued woman had such a small heart. Just as he was about to pick up Lin Fei, he heard footsteps behind him.

Seven or eight people from the crowd that had fled earlier had returned. The man in glasses at the front thanked him, "Thank you for saving us..."

Gao Feng waved his hand, "Time is tight, no need for formalities. I'm heading to Shelter 3, are you coming?"

The man in glasses glanced back at the others, seeing no objections, and said, "We're coming, let's go together." He waved his hand, "Everyone, lend a hand to help the young man carry the person." They were all smart people. Seeing Gao Feng dispatch the dwarves so efficiently, their confidence was boosted. No matter what, following Gao Feng gave them a fighting chance.

With more people, they carried Lin Fei and ran towards the Anfu Commercial Building in District D.

Gao Feng usually found the base cramped, but now he felt it was too large. Fortunately, they found some public bicycles around a corner. The weak women and the fat man rode them, significantly increasing their speed.

"These dwarves aren't very strong or brave. They fear strong light and loud noises. As long as you don't panic, dealing with one is no problem..." Gao Feng took the opportunity to explain the key points of dealing with the green dwarves to the people around him.

It was a strange sight, a group of adults listening to a young, fresh-faced boy. But everyone present found it natural.

On the way, Gao Feng killed over a dozen more green dwarves and gathered a large group of people. There were over a hundred in total, mostly couples with their children. Although there were many people, they clearly lacked combat ability.

Fortunately, with the universal martial arts training and Gao Feng leading the way, everyone's courage grew. Many carried swords and knives, forming a protective outer circle of about a dozen men. The group marched towards Shelter 3.

The more people, the slower the progress. But in such a situation, Gao Feng couldn't abandon them. He could only try to increase their speed.

"Ah ah..."

Gao Feng's senses were sharp, and he heard someone shouting loudly ahead. The voice was strong, indicating a skilled fighter.

He quickly put Jiaojiao down and ran forward. Turning the corner, he saw a large lizard man, over two meters tall, facing off against a muscular man in a grassy area around a fountain. Behind the man was a mother and daughter hugging each other.

The man, though muscular, had his black military uniform torn to shreds, with numerous long blood marks. His expression was calm, but his wandering eyes betrayed a hint of despair.

He could have escaped on his own, but protecting his wife and daughter made it impossible. If this continued, they would all die here.

Seeing the large lizard man, the group following Gao Feng's face changed. They had just killed many dwarves and were feeling confident. But the sight of the lizard man drained their courage.

The lizard man was massive, with a light green, scaly skin that looked like thick armor. His thick limbs were as wide as an adult's waist. Though humanoid, he had a lizard's head.

His scaly head had cold, yellow triangular eyes, and his long, black claws were terrifyingly sharp.

Gao Feng also knew that the lizard man's claws were highly toxic. A normal person would not survive more than ten minutes if scratched. Compared to the fierce lizard man, the green dwarves were like harmless pets.

Seeing the lizard man, Gao Feng hesitated. If he were alone, he might have tried to fight the giant. But he was leading a group of people. If the lizard man attacked, it would be a massacre.

To save one person and risk over a hundred others was a difficult choice. Besides, he had more important things to do.

Zhu Bin, the man in glasses, looked at the scene and whispered, "This monster is dangerous, we can't be reckless..."

Saving a life by abandoning others didn't align with moral principles, and Zhu Bin's words were tactful. "Not being reckless" meant not taking risks. Though he had only known Gao Feng for a short time, he found him more mature and calm than his peers. He believed Gao Feng would understand his words.

Despite the distance, Gao Feng saw the man's determined eyes. There were no grand words, but the resolve to protect his family moved Gao Feng.

Gao Feng said calmly, "You all step back, I'll be over soon..."
