Ch1.21 - (II) The White Peacock Leaping Into His Arms

The plaque of [Imperial Capital University] is made of a whole piece of red sandalwood, and the four sides are inlaid with gilt along the carved patterns.

The four inscribed characters displays extreme power and influence, hanging just above the majestic double-opening gate, which makes people awestruck just by looking at it.

Yan Chen came to this university again as a freshman, and he was not moved at all by the grandiose appearance of the school.

“Woo!” Rong Jun’s temper is not really good, especially to strangers with no morals, he instantly jumped up in anger, turned his head and glared at the man viciously with those reddish pupils.

“You sick b…” Rong Jun probably wanted to call him ‘bastard’, but it should be his own upbringing that made him hold back, he paused unnaturally for two seconds to suppress his outburst emotions, and then spoke again in a calmer manner,

“What the hell are you trying to do?”

“What’s your name?”

Rong Jun was already late for class. In the end, he breathed out helplessly. “Yan Chen right? Can you please let me be. I’m already late as it is.”Yan Chen looked at Rong Jun, smiling that he said his name and got his attention, since he got what he wanted, he didn’t bother him too much, and let him pass by peacefully without pestering him further.

Rong Jun looked at him apprehensively and walked past him with a dejected face, and when he was a little far, he clicked his tongue in displeasure and whispered, “Tsk! What bad luck!”

Yan Chen who had a keen sense of hearing, heard what he said. He laughed inwardly while staring at him until his figure was gone.

“Qingqing, I promise I’ll make it right this time.”
