The student council had reserved a courtyard on the south side of the hot spring resort, which contained three separate open-air pools.

The resort itself had two floors. The first floor housed a restaurant, an indoor natural hot spring, and a leisure area, while the second floor consisted entirely of guest rooms.

By the time Rong Jun and Yan Chen went downstairs to the restaurant, most of the seats were already taken by student council members and their guests, leaving only a few empty spots.

“Rong Jun, over here!”

Someone by the window stood up and waved. Two seats beside him were open.

Rong Jun pulled Yan Chen over, had him sit first, then took his own seat. He greeted everyone at the table, poured a glass of water for Yan Chen, and set it in front of him.

Yan Chen picked it up and drank from it naturally.

“You really slept through the rest of the day, huh? We’ve been skiing all afternoon,” Wu Ye, his classmate said in a teasing tone, opening a bottle of beer and pouring a full glass for Rong Jun.

“Have a drink.”

Rong Jun accepted it. “I always get like this when it’s cold.”

They clinked glasses and each drank half in one go.

The atmosphere at the table was relaxed. No one talked about school, just casual things about life. Glass after glass was emptied in a blink of an eye, and soon many faces were flushed from the alcohol.

Noticing Rong Jun’s gaze becoming dazed, Yan Chen reached out, gently held his hand holding the glass, and placed some food into his bowl.

“Qingqing, drink less. Eat something.”

“Oh… okay.”

Rong Jun’s voice had already softened from the alcohol, but his chopsticks remained steady. He obediently took a few bites then immediately picked up his glass again to drink with the person beside him.

Yan Chen felt helpless seeing him like this.

Rong Jun didn’t actually like alcohol. He rarely drank, but once he started, it was hard for him to stop, and he almost always ended up drunk every single time he drinks.

“Yan Chen, you should drink too.”

A senior, who was already probably drunk by alcohol, poured a glass and placed it in front of him, even resting a hand casually on his shoulder.

Yan Chen frowned slightly.

“I don’t drink. Thank you.”

Rong Jun, who had overheard everything, nudged Yan Chen.

“The beer here is really good… try some!”

He held out his half-finished glass to him and swirled its contents.

Yan Chen stared at it. Ever since that drunken incident, he had no desire to touch alcohol again. And now Rong Jun was offering it himself.

His expression instantly turned aggrieved. His sharp eyes drooped, and his voice softened pitifully.

“I won’t drink…”

Rong Jun immediately set the glass aside, pulled Yan Chen into his arms, and rubbed his head anxiously.

“Okay, okay, don’t drink. It’s my fault.”

Everyone at the table fell silent.

He was definitely drunk.

Yan Chen froze for a moment. When Rong Jun finally let go, his hair was completely disheveled.

“…I’m going to the restroom.” Rong Jun covered his mouth, feeling something rising up from his stomach and stood up unsteadily.

“I’ll go with you,” Yan Chen said immediately.

Rong Jun swayed slightly, pressed a hand against his shoulder, and said seriously,

“I’m not a child. Sit here. I’ll be back soon.”

As he walked away, Yan Chen’s eyes never left him. Watching him stagger step by step only made him more uneasy. Several times, he almost stood up to follow.

But like they agreed, he will try to stop being too pushy.

…

On the way to the restroom, Rong Jun was still thinking about Yan Chen waiting for him. His mind was clear, but his body felt weak and uncoordinated.

After finishing up and washing his hands, he stepped out into the corridor.

Someone had left a window open, which led a gust of cold wind to rush in.

The chill hit him instantly making him shiver, he suddenly felt dizzy as he held his head, massaging it gently.

He didn’t like the cold. Hugging himself, he made his way back toward the restaurant. His steps grew more unsteady, but his mood felt lighter and lighter, like he was walking on clouds.

Then in the corner of his eyes, he saw Yan Chen.

“Yan Chen!” He called out happily and rushed forward.

He heard people cheering—

And then— in a blink of an eye, he woke up in bed.

“Huh?!”

Rong Jun sat up, squinting at the bright sunlight streaming through the window. Even in winter, it felt warm.

Didn’t he go to the restroom? Why was he suddenly in bed? And it was already daytime?

“Qingqing, you’re awake.”

A deep, pleasant voice came from beside him.

Rong Jun turned and saw Yan Chen smiling.

Something felt… off.

“I…”

Before he could ask anything, Yan Chen’s smile deepened. His eyes curved slightly, but there was no warmth in them. A chill ran down Rong Jun’s spine. He instinctively grabbed the blanket and shrank back.

At that moment, fragments of memory surged back like a storm.

Rong Jun froze.

Then he slowly fell back onto the bed, his face pale as he stared at the ceiling.

A second later, that ceiling was replaced by Yan Chen’s face, leaning over him, still wearing that unsettling smile.

A hand gripped his chin, tilting his head upward.

“Does it hurt?”

Rong Jun trembled and shook his head.

“Does your stomach feel uncomfortable?”

He shook his head again.

“Then…”

Yan Chen leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.

“Let’s settle what happened last night.”

Startled, Rong Jun immediately tried to roll away, but before he could move even an inch, his shoulder was pinned down.

No matter how he struggled, it was useless.

His pajamas were slowly tugged aside. Warm breath brushed against his ear as Yan Chen whispered.

“Qingqing, I already told them… you won’t be going out today.”

“Are you even human?” Rong Jun’s voice trembled.

Yan Chen let out a soft taunting laugh.

“I’m not human.” he smirked.

“I’m a wolf.”

Rong Jun: “…”
