Amidst the heart-wrenching screams that echoed in his ears, Yin Xuege's body twitched, and he awoke from his unconscious state. With his eyes closed, he cautiously moved his hands and feet, then slowly propped himself up. His body felt agile and strong, showing no signs of further injury. Only then did Yin Xuege open his eyes and survey his surroundings.

This was a prison cell, made entirely of metal. The ceiling was no more than three meters high, and a hanging lamp in the center cast flickering candlelight, illuminating the cell, which was about five meters long. The walls were thick, black metal, densely inscribed with numerous restraining runes. As Yin Xuege moved his body, he felt as if he were carrying hundreds of pounds, making his movements sluggish.

On one wall was a small door with a palm-sized ventilation window. Yin Xuege quickly walked to the door, tiptoed, and peered out through the window. Outside was a dimly lit tunnel. From his vantage point, he could see three small doors on the opposite wall, spaced several meters apart, indicating that there were multiple cells.

The agonizing screams came from his right, about a hundred meters away. Listening carefully, he could hear the sound of a whip lashing against flesh and the sizzling of burning flesh. Yin Xuege sniffed, detecting a foul smell of scorched blood and flesh in the air.

At that moment, a loud noise came from the cell opposite him, and a green eye, the size of a baby's fist, appeared in the ventilation window. The eye darted around, and a fierce, wild aura rushed towards him, causing Yin Xuege to instinctively step back.

"Hey, kid! New arrival?" The owner of the eye growled in a deep, hoarse voice.

Approaching the door cautiously, Yin Xuege peered through the window and asked in a low voice, "Where are we?"

The green eye circled, and the deep voice laughed maliciously, "Welcome to the Blood Prison. This is where those damned humans imprison us, the non-humans! Hmm, you don't have the stench of my kind, are you one of the Blood Demons?"

A low, wolf-like howl came from the opposite cell, and soon a large dog nose poked out of the window. The wet nose twitched several times, and the person muttered in surprise.

"But you don't have the sinister smell of a Blood Demon either. What are you, kid?"

Adhering to certain teachings from the Young Master's Hall, Yin Xuege did not reveal any information about himself. He just looked at the large dog nose poking out of the window and muttered to himself, "So it's a big dog? With such a big nose, you must be quite large!"

"Dog?" The dog nose quickly retracted, and a green eye, blazing with疯狂的怒火, suddenly appeared behind the window. The person roared in rage, "Dog? You dare call me a dog? I am the noble Silver Wolf Commander Wu Mu! I am a noble werewolf, a descendant of the ancient wolf god!"

Wu Mu pounded on the cell door, making the alloy door rattle. He let out sharp, piercing howls and then bellowed in anger, "You must be a treacherous vampire! A cowardly little bat! You have no right to be imprisoned here! This is the deepest part of the Blood Prison, only someone like me deserves to be here!"

Yin Xuege shrugged, not bothering to respond to the clearly deranged Wu Mu.

Being locked up in this place, worrying about one's identity was pointless, wasn't it?

Ignoring Wu Mu's loud shouting and cursing, Yin Xuege began to pace around the small cell. The Young Master's Hall's curriculum did not include knowledge on how to escape from captivity. After all, for a weak young master, they would not easily leave the family's territory or the protection of their elders, and it was rare for a young master to be captured.

Yin Xuege's mind was empty, lacking the knowledge and experience to guide him on how to escape. He instinctively wandered around the cell, hoping for a slim chance that he might find a way out.

The floor was made of thick metal plates, inscribed with numerous restraining runes. The unknown alloy, reinforced by the runes, was as hard as diamond and could block various forms of energy. With his current strength, Yin Xuege couldn't even leave a mark on the floor.

The walls were also made of the same material. Based on what Yin Xuege saw through the window, if each cell was about five meters long and wide, the distance between the doors in the tunnel was about ten meters, meaning the walls between cells were several meters thick, far beyond his ability to break through.

As for the ceiling...

Yin Xuege's figure flickered, and he was hanging upside down from the ceiling. He bent down to carefully inspect the structure and thickness of the ceiling, but found no gaps or weaknesses. He helplessly dropped back to the ground.

The small cell contained only a narrow bed, a toilet, and a sink with a faucet that dripped clear water. These facilities were of no use to Yin Xuege.

The only weak point in the cell might be the small door.

But when Yin Xuege approached the door and gently tapped it with his fingers, he couldn't help but smile bitterly. His fingers hit the door without making a sound; it was at least two feet thick and far beyond his strength to move.

"Brat, feeling hopeless, huh?" Wu Mu's laughter boomed, and he laughed so hard he could barely speak, "I, Lord Wu Mu, have been imprisoned here for twenty-five years. I've eaten eighteen guards, but I've never escaped. You, little kid, might as well give up."

Hearing Wu Mu's words, Yin Xuege sighed. He tiptoed and peered through the window, only to find Wu Mu staring at him with a large, green eye. They stared at each other for a while before Wu Mu finally couldn't hold back and shouted.

"Kid, which family's bat are you? How did you end up here? Your small body isn't even enough to fill Lord Wu Mu's teeth. How unlucky are you to be here?"

Before Yin Xuege could respond, Wu Mu laughed again, "What a unlucky kid, you're not even fully grown and you're already here. Your parents must be worried sick, right? Ha ha ha, who is your father? Maybe I know his name?"

Yin Xuege remained silent, and after waiting for a while, Wu Mu, growing impatient, shouted, "Hey, kid, say something! Being imprisoned here isn't all bad, at least it's peaceful, right? Talk to me, who is your father? Maybe one of the bats I bit and broke the bones of was your father?"

Taking a deep breath and gripping the jade cicada at his chest, Yin Xuege coldly replied, "I have no father."

"Wow, you have no father!" Wu Mu exclaimed, then suddenly roared and spat, "Damn, little brat! If you have no father, how did your mother give birth to you?"

After another moment of silence, Yin Xuege slowly said, "I don't know who my father is."

Wu Mu was silent for a long time, then laughed strangely. He switched eyes and stared at Yin Xuege through the window, his eyes flashing green, and his voice became a bit strange, "Not knowing who your father is? That happens often in our great wolf god's descendants, but don't you bats value bloodline and hierarchy the most?"

With his hands on the window, Yin Xuege's eyes darted around, carefully observing the tunnel. The screams from the other end gradually subsided, and the smell of scorched flesh became even stronger. He was busy listening to the sounds from there and didn't pay attention to Wu Mu.

But Wu Mu, clearly lonely for a long time, tried to provoke Yin Xuege.

"Then, who is your mother? Maybe I know her name! Hey, kid, which family's young master are you?"

Yin Xuege ignored him, focusing all his attention on his ears. Using the Blood Demon's innate abilities, he strained to listen to the sounds from the tunnel. He could hear the groans of the person being tortured and the curses and questions of the torturers. They seemed to be interrogating about the whereabouts of a treasure.

The Blood Chalice? Yin Xuege's heart suddenly tightened. If he heard correctly, they were interrogating about the Blood Chalice. That was one of the thirteen most important heritage artifacts of the Blood Demons, only the oldest and most noble families of the Blood Demons had the right to possess one!

The Yin family, as Eastern cultivators, had forcibly transformed into Blood Demons after obtaining the Blood Demon's blood. To the Blood Demons, the Yin family were outsiders. Although the Yin family's power had grown over the past few centuries, they had no right to possess the Blood Demons' heritage artifacts!

In the Young Master's Hall, Yin Xuege had overheard some conversations among the attendants—mentioning that the Yin family had made many moves to obtain the Blood Demons' heritage artifacts. Someone closely related to Yin Xuege had even sacrificed themselves because of the Yin family's ambitions.
