"These pieces of pork cannot be sold cheaply; they need to be preserved properly."

Su Jing realized the extraordinary nature of the monster meat and decided to preserve it first.

He turned on his phone and connected to the internet to search for methods to preserve pork.

The best method, of course, would be to put the meat in the freezer and freeze it directly.

However, where would he find a refrigerator in this old house, and how could a regular fridge possibly hold over two thousand pounds of meat?

After a quick search, Su Jing finally found a somewhat feasible method.

First, he bought a large amount of soy sauce and six large buckets.

He poured the soy sauce into a pot, boiled it to disinfect it, and then poured it into the large buckets to cool down.

Next, he washed the pork thoroughly, cut it into pieces of about eight ounces each, and placed them in the cooled soy sauce in the buckets.

After covering the buckets, the task was complete.

According to the internet, this method would keep the meat from spoiling for two to three months, perhaps a bit less in the summer.

However, this was monster meat, not ordinary wild boar meat, so it should last even longer.

By the time he finished, it was already noon. Su Jing ate some noodles and then took a nap, as he had been woken up last night and had been busy since the early morning, feeling quite exhausted.

When he woke up, it was already four in the afternoon. He saw four cats standing by the window, and this time, not only the kittens but also the mother cat looked hungry.

Su Jing was surprised to find that both the mother cat and the kittens looked completely different from before. Previously, they seemed malnourished with dry and messy fur, but now they looked as if they had a new coat, shiny and bright, with lively eyes.

"Are these still the same four cats?"

Su Jing was stunned. After some thought, he realized that the only possible reason was the wild boar meat.

Su Jing's eyes lit up like stars, realizing that the monster meat was even more extraordinary than he had imagined.

He took a piece of meat from the bucket, cut it into small pieces, and threw them to the four cats. The mother cat was still a bit reserved, wanting to eat but not daring to come close, while the three kittens started fighting over the meat and finished it in a few bites. They licked their lips and meowed cutely at Su Jing.

Su Jing cut a few more pieces and threw them over. This time, the mother cat also joined in, eating heartily. After they were full, they looked even more energetic. The three kittens came to Su Jing, rubbing their heads against him affectionately, and one even jumped into his lap. The mother cat stayed back but did not stop the kittens and showed no hostility towards Su Jing.

"Woof woof"

Two dogs seemed to have smelled the scent and ran to the door.

Su Jing was speechless; the two dogs had decided to stay.

The dogs had also changed significantly compared to yesterday. The Border Collie looked much more spirited and was no longer on the verge of death, while the mixed breed dog had shiny fur and bright eyes.

"Since you have come here by fate, I will take you in."

Su Jing thought for a moment, cut the remaining piece of meat into two, and threw it to the dogs.

However, he blocked the dog hole, as this place was not a dog shelter and could not accommodate too many.

"Since the cats and dogs are fine, I should be fine eating the monster meat too."

Feeling a bit hungry, Su Jing bought some green peppers and cooked a dish of stir-fried pork with green peppers.

After cooking, the aroma of the meat filled the air. Eating a piece, Su Jing almost swallowed his tongue it was so delicious.

Su Jing knew his cooking skills were average, so the deliciousness must have been due to the monster meat.

Moreover, after eating, Su Jing felt warm all over, and the fatigue and soreness from cleaning the house and handling the monster meat quickly disappeared. His back and waist no longer ached, and he felt as if he had boundless energy.

"Since the monster meat is so magical, I wonder how it will work for fishing?"

Su Jing suddenly had an idea. He had come here to relax and had already bought a fishing rod, planning to go fishing.

He cut a piece of meat, took a bucket, and went out the back door, walking down a slope to the sea. However, this part of the shore was not a beach but a mess of rocks, making it unsuitable for fishing. But Su Jing did not mind.

He was familiar with the area and easily hopped from rock to rock, quickly moving twenty meters away from the shore. The area ahead was open, with no rocks in the way, and his shoes remained dry, showing his familiarity with the terrain. Even the adults who had lived here all their lives would not have the patience to explore these rock paths.

He took out his fishing rod, prepared it, and attached a small piece of monster meat to the hook, then cast it out. In less than half a minute, the float moved and was suddenly pulled under, and Su Jing felt the tension on the rod.

Su Jing quickly reeled in the line. He was a beginner, having fished directly in the sea as a child and occasionally using a homemade fishing rod, so his skills were not great. However, no matter how bad his technique, the fish refused to let go, and the hook was pulled up with it.

It was a small fish, about the size of a sparrow, with an oval body, blue all over, and a yellowish belly and tail.

Su Jing recognized it as a Blue Damselfish, a small fish with high ornamental value but low economic value and not very tasty when cooked. He thought for a moment and put the Blue Damselfish in the bucket, as it was his first catch of the day.

He attached another small piece of monster meat to the hook and cast it out again. A few minutes later, another fish was hooked, and within ten minutes, he had caught over a dozen fish, mostly low-value species like mackerel and sea bream, and they were quite small, so it was not a bountiful catch. However, the speed of fishing was impressive.

"This monster meat is truly a magical fishing bait."

Su Jing continued fishing and soon caught a brownish-red grouper with stripes and spots, which made his eyes light up. Finally, he had caught a good fish. Grouper is rich in nutrients, with tender and white meat similar to chicken, often called "sea chicken." It is a low-fat, high-protein fish and is considered one of the four famous fish in China by people in Hong Kong and Macau.

Su Jing continued to catch various fish and even two large lobsters weighing over a pound each.

Lobsters are usually difficult to catch with a fishing rod because they tend to drag the bait back while eating it. If you try to reel them in when the float sinks, they will release the bait, and even if you manage to get them out of the water, they can still drop back into the sea.

However, these two lobsters clung to the monster meat and refused to let go, even out of the water. Su Jing had to wait for them to finish eating the meat before he could remove them from the hook.

"The catch is quite bountiful, and the bucket is full."

Su Jing lifted the bucket, which contained some water and dozens of fish, weighing about thirty to forty pounds, making it quite heavy. He had to place the bucket in the water and use the buoyancy to move it over the rocks.

When he reached the shore, he met a few villagers nearby who were surprised to see the fish and lobsters in his bucket.

"Jing, you didn't fish for long, but you caught so many fish."

"That's a grouper, over a pound."

"Two large lobsters, how can lobsters be caught with a fishing rod?"

No one could believe that so many fish could be caught by the sea.

Especially the two lobsters, which were quite large. Although some people had caught them before, it was rare. Wild lobsters of this size are very expensive, with a purchase price of over a hundred. Therefore, the villagers had rarely eaten such large lobsters and would usually sell them if caught.
