Chapter 2 Part 2

Shen Xiao nodded indifferently, “Let go eat.”

As if she had just received a death pardon, she quickly stood up and got off the sofa. Shen Xiao raised his eyebrows while witnessing her exaggerated movements.

Although they were siblings, they did not have a close relationship, nor do they share any common interest. If Shen Xiao doesn’t take the initiative to tease her, there would only be silence between them.

At the dining table, they ate their dinner in silence. However, given Uncle Li’s superior cooking skills, they quickly finished their meal.

After dinner, Shen Xiao rested his bowl on the table and ordered Uncle Li, “Wash some cherries and place them in the living room. I’ll head up to my room to take a shower first.”

Uncle Li first glanced at Shen Yu before nodding at Shen Xiao, “Noted.”

Shen Yu waited until Shen Xiao left the dining room to help Uncle Li to clear the table. Ever since she transmigrated, it has become a habit for her to assist Uncle Li with the cleaning up after a meal. Moreover, Uncle Li has also gotten used to it.

When Uncle Li noticed how she is absent-mindedly placing the dishes into the dishwasher, Uncle Li asked her while washing the cherries, “Your eyebrows are so creased it can catch a fly or two. What are you so worried about? Did something happen in school? Were you bullied?”

Shen Yu waved her hand and said, “Nothing happened.”

Seeing the fresh cherries that were still wet in the bowl, Shen Yu can’t help but feel hungry again. When she stretched out her hands to steal one, Uncle Li slapped her hands away and said, “Don’t touch it. These belong to Master. If he finds out that you stole even one of it, he would get angry.”

Shen Yu, “….”

How could he be so selfish and bad-tempered? Couldn’t I just eat one cherry??

After Uncle Li slapped her hand away, he passed her an apple, “Chew on this.”

Shen Yu stared at the apple and thought to herself, ‘The difference in treatment is too obvious!’

Before Shen Xiao finish showering, the doorbell rang. Uncle Li passed her the bowl of cherries for her to bring it out to the living room. He headed out to open his door.

Shen Yu walked towards the living room with the bowl of cherries in her hand. She hesitated for a second, then dropped the idea of stealing a cherry. She must maintain her disguise as a cowardly little white bunny.

Uncle Li hastily escorted a man into the house. He was about the same age as Shen Xiao. He wore a pair of half-rimmed spectacles and had a gentle air about him. He carried a briefcase in his hand.

Uncle Li said, “Assistant Du, please take a seat. The Master is currently taking a shower and will be joining you in the living room soon.”

It turns out to be Shen Xiao’s assistant who is here to discuss business.

She hastily finished eating the apple. Thinking that she there’s nothing for her to do, she got ready to return to her home but was stopped by Uncle Li, “Wait a while before going up otherwise you’ll have to come down again later.”

Why must I come down again? Is there anything else that I need to do?

Shen Yu was left slightly confused with Uncle Li’s remarks and wanted to ask probe further for an explanation. However, before she could even utter her first word, she saw Shen Xiao loosely drabbed in a bathrobe walking down the staircase. In one of his hand was a towel which he is using to wipe his hair dry. Then he flicked his wet hair that covered his forehead to the back of his head, exposing his sharp and arrogant facial features.

When Assistant Du caught sight of him, he quickly opened his briefcase and said, “Boss, I’ve prepared the agreement for that piece of land. Please have a look and see if there are any terms you want to add.”

Shen Xiao waved his hand and said, “Just read it out to me, I can’t be bothered to read it.”

After he spoke, he slowly walked to the sofa and took a seat. He then patted on the seat next to him and said to Shen Yu, “Come here.”

Shen Yu suddenly felt helpless. She realised that she can’t defend herself against the lunatic in front of her.

Don’t get angry, don’t get angry, just remember that you’re an adorable little bunny!!!

After she prepared herself mentally, she took a seat next to him as she no longer has a fear of death. The cologne smell on his body is gone and was replaced with the refreshing fragrant of his shower gel.

After he signalled for Assistant Du to start reading the agreement, he picked up the bowl of cherries that was previously left on the coffee table. He meticulously picked out a cherry, placed it on her mouth and ordered her, “Quick, open your mouth.”

Shen Yu, “…..”

What is this lunatic doing??? Is he trying to feed me cherries???

When she didn’t respond after a long time, Shen Xiao used the cherry and impatiently tapped it at her lips. He looked at her seriously and said, “Eat!”

Shen Yu couldn’t help but feel baffled and slightly afraid. In the end, she opened her mouth obediently and ate the cherry.

He watched her eat the cherry, occasionally a few drops of red juice will drip from the corner of her mouth. After a few moments, Shen Xiao’s mouth curved up in satisfaction as if he has found something interesting. “Really well-behaved, continue.”

Subsequently, while Assistant Du was busy reading out the agreement, Shen Xiao while smiling fed her the cherries one by one.

The more cherries that Shen Yu ate, the more goosebumps on her hand stood up. Previously in the kitchen, she was forbidden by Uncle Li from eating them by telling her that Shen Xiao will get angry. After one big round, the cherries still ended up in her mouth. This type of action would only cause a person to go insane, but the question is why?

As being distracted by several questions that were running through her mind, she accidentally bit hard on Shen Xiao’s finger while chewing on a cherry.

Shen Yu, “….”

Uncle Li, “….”

Assistant Du, “….”

Shen Xiao’s eyes widened and then, he smiled amusingly, “Ha, little bunny, you finally learned how to bite.”

Shen Yu, “….”

This tone, why does it sound like he is talking to a pet???
