Shake, shake, rattle, rattle.

Durán woke up from his sleep, wiped the drool from the corner of his mouth, and groggily opened his eyes.

Crawling out of the time machine, Durán transformed it into an all-purpose capsule and hid it. The time machine consumes a lot of energy, but fortunately, Durán brought several extra batteries.

Surrounded by hills and forests, Durán saw no one for the moment.

"Hey, you." Well, there was someone right behind Durán, but he hadn’t noticed.

The blonde-haired, silver-eyed slayer, the continent's No. 1 warrior—Smiling Deneve.

"Monster? Human?" No wonder Deneve was confused, as Durán had no demonic aura, but there was a warm presence that made her feel comfortable.

"Human, thank you!" Durán looked around and then took out an all-purpose capsule.

With a 'pop,' Durán had a camera in his hand, and he aimed it at Deneve and pressed the shutter.

Deneve 'whoosh' drew her large sword.

Durán was drenched in sweat; this Great Sword was a bit too nervous. It was just taking a photo, no need to draw the sword.

"Taking a photo, understand?" Durán pointed to the camera in his hand.

Deneve frowned, "Give me the thing in your hand."

"Can you take photos too? If you don’t understand, don’t mess around." Durán didn’t refuse the beauty’s request, but he had to remind her. He was used to that camera and didn’t want to change it.

Deneve didn’t know what material the thing in her hand was made of, but it felt very smooth. The screen of the camera still showed the photo Durán had taken, with Deneve’s delicate face on it.

"This?!" Clearly, Deneve encountered something she couldn’t understand, "Why does this black thing show a person like a mirror?"

"This is a camera, haven’t you seen one before?" Durán looked at Deneve’s attire, "It seems you really haven’t. A camera is a machine that preserves the beautiful things we see."

Durán took the camera back from Deneve, "Look, there’s a bird over there." Durán pointed to a branch not far away and quickly pressed the shutter, "See, it’s like this."

Deneve looked at the strange man in front of her, who exuded a mysterious aura.

"Is there any place nearby where I can stay?" Durán turned the camera back into an all-purpose capsule.

Deneve watched the transformation in Durán’s hand, as if it were magic, "The nearest village is two days away."

Durán wasn’t very familiar with the way, so he would have to camp out tonight. But fortunately, Durán had an all-purpose capsule with all sorts of things inside.

'Pop—' Durán took out the all-purpose capsule for the house and threw it onto a relatively open area. A hemispherical structure appeared on the ground, with transparent glass embedded in it, and lights shone through.

"Lady, if you don’t mind, come in for a meal." Durán invited her politely.

Deneve smiled slightly and boldly walked in through the door Durán had opened.

The room was as bright as daylight, with white walls and light-colored furniture, making it feel warm.

Durán took food from the refrigerator and heated it in the microwave. He couldn’t cook, but he could heat ready-made food.

"The meal is simple, please bear with it."

"It’s fine, I’m not picky." Deneve ate like a lady.

Durán’s eating style was much more casual, gobbling down several large pieces of meat. Although Durán wasn’t a pure human anymore, he still needed to eat.

"Sorry, it’s been a long time since I’ve had a proper meal." Durán knew from the time machine that he had been traveling for half a year.

After finishing the meal and washing the dishes, Durán taught Deneve how to use the bathroom and the bedroom’s light switch.

The house had only one bedroom, so Durán had to stay in the living room. The computer had no internet, but there were a couple of games, enough to pass the time. Actually, Durán hoped Deneve would invite him to sleep in the bedroom, but it seemed she didn’t understand his hints.

In the morning, Deneve stretched lazily. Even the best inn on the continent wasn’t as comfortable. Deneve hadn’t felt this way in a long time, like a normal human, eating delicious food, taking a comfortable bubble bath, and sleeping on a soft, fluffy mattress, all inside a house.

Everything from yesterday felt like a dream to Deneve. The man named Durán was shrouded in mystery, whether it was his camera or this house. Deneve saw the opening on the wall and curiously pressed it a few times, the lights flickering on and off. Although it wasn’t very noticeable during the day, Deneve still played with it enthusiastically.

Outside, Durán took a deep breath and exhaled, "The morning air is so fresh." Durán stretched comfortably.

"Good morning." Deneve had already changed into her battle attire and put on her large sword.

"Good morning." Durán smiled, "Are you heading out?"

"Yes, a monster appeared in the next town, and I need to get there."

Durán nodded, "Good luck."

"Thank you for your hospitality." Deneve left Durán with a casual wave.

Watching Deneve disappear into the forest, Durán went back into the house, brushed his teeth, had a simple breakfast, and put the house back into the all-purpose capsule before starting his journey.

In an unknown town on the continent, Deneve easily slew the monster.

"Y-y-you... g-good..." The timid mayor trembled as he handed a bag of gold to Deneve, "T-this... i-is the r-reward..."

"Someone will come to collect it later, wearing a black cloak, you won’t mistake them. Of course, if you don’t recognize them, we won’t accept any more commissions from you next time." Deneve still smiled, but it made the mayor break out in a cold sweat.

Sure enough, half an hour after Deneve left, a man in a black cloak stood in front of the mayor. The black-cloaked man extended his hand, and the mayor immediately trembled as he placed the gold in the man’s hand.

Then, another half an hour later, another black-cloaked man stood in front of the mayor, and the mayor cried.

Durán weighed the gold in his hand, feeling that the organization was truly profitable. The first black-cloaked man was actually Durán in disguise, as he didn’t have the currency of this world and had to apologize to the poor mayor. This world was different from the Dragon Ball world. In the past two days, Durán had only caught a hard-to-eat, unknown animal in the wild, so his survival skills in the wild had greatly decreased, and he had to find a way to earn some money.

Durán didn’t carefully consider whether the organization would allow the monster to take revenge on the village.

Durán followed Deneve from a distance, exploring the world while tailing her.

Monsters and Great Swords were the two words Durán heard the most. This environment made Durán shake his head; humans were like livestock, living in constant fear.

Durán actually looked down on the people of this continent, but since he was here, he had to delve into the masses and understand them. Of course, after meeting Deneve, his little heart trembled a bit, and he forgot the principle of coming from the masses and returning to the masses.

Durán’s money ran out quickly; buying a suitable set of armor cost him most of a bag of gold. Various accommodations and meals soon depleted his gold. So Durán resorted to his old trick and followed Deneve, stealing a few more bags of gold.

"Never thought I’d end up scamming for money one day." Durán tossed the bag and said to himself sarcastically.

"Since you know it’s wrong, why do it?" A cold voice came from behind a tree. It turned out that Deneve’s agent had contacted her, asking her to find the criminal who had fraudulently claimed the gold, "Never thought the criminal would be you."

"It’s been a while, Deneve, how have you been?" Durán was embarrassed and quickly hid the money bag behind his back.

"Never thought it would be you, are you prepared?" Deneve drew her large sword.

"Hey, no need for that, I’ll return the gold, no need for violence."

"If you could return the gold, would you have needed to scam it?" Deneve keenly pointed out Durán’s flaw.

"Ahahaha—" Durán laughed foolishly, "Alright, I’ll be your assistant to pay it back."

"Are you joking?" The large sword in her hand swung, and Deneve smiled playfully.

Although she knew that Great Swords had a rule not to kill humans, Deneve wasn’t a qualified Great Sword, so she might just cut Durán down.

"I’m serious, what do you think?"

Deneve thought for a moment and surprisingly nodded, "Alright, as long as you can keep up with me."

Durán gave Deneve a big smile, "No problem."
