A month's time is neither short nor long.
Walking on the newly repaired Bifrost Bridge, Thor, for once, did not compete with Liu Rui'an for flight speed.
During this month, the two had developed a fairly good relationship, even forming a bond, no, it should be called friendship.
Liu Rui'an was quite regretful about this.
Yes, regretful.
There was no way around it; Liu Rui'an originally intended to find an opportunity to take over Asgard.
For this plan, he had even prepared in advance.
When he cultivated the "Aesir" alien race in the "Prometheus" world, it wasn't just for research.
But with friendship as the bond, doing so now would clearly be a betrayal.
Even though Liu Rui'an never considered himself a good person, he still had some principles and a bottom line.
On one side was the temptation of occupying Asgard and becoming the King of the Gods, and on the other side was his friendship with Thor.
In the end, it was Liu Rui'an's otaku nature that made the decisive impact.
"Whatever, let's take it one step at a time. We'll see what happens when the Nine Realms overlap. Thinking about it now is a bit premature."
With this thought in mind, Liu Rui'an continued to chat enthusiastically with Thor about close combat and practical combat.
The Bifrost Bridge, though long, eventually came to an end.
"Rui'an, you don't have to leave so urgently. Father and Mother have no intention of driving you away," Thor said as they reached the end of the bridge.
It's not surprising that Thor would say this. After all, with the pride of the King of the Gods, Odin, he would never look down on a mere mortal.
However, although Liu Rui'an came from Earth, his strength surpassed Thor's.
And the Aesir, to some extent, were a warrior race, so their attitude towards a strong person could not be the same as towards an ordinary mortal.
Otherwise, how could Liu Rui'an have stayed for a month so smoothly, and even had "intimate" interactions with many Aesir women?
Feeling the sincerity in Thor's words, Liu Rui'an patted his shoulder and said with a smile:
"Thor, I'm not leaving because someone is driving me away. On the contrary, I've enjoyed my stay here."
"The reason I'm leaving today is mainly because I have some important matters to attend to."
"Don't worry. Now that the Bifrost Bridge is repaired, I'll summon Heimdall when I have time."
"But, remember to tell him not to always watch me. Personal privacy is protected by law, you know."
"Alright, I'll tell Heimdall that," Thor nodded in response.
As two tough guys, though they had developed some "brotherly affection" over the month, it wasn't enough to make them cry.
When they reached the spherical hall at the end of the Bifrost Bridge, they saw Heimdall, clad in armor, diligently using his divine eyes to observe the Nine Realms.
With the command from Thor, the son of the King of the Gods, Heimdall had no objections to teleporting Liu Rui'an to Xandar.
After the large sword, which served as both a weapon and a teleportation controller, was inserted into the control panel in the center of the hall, Thor patted Liu Rui'an's shoulder and said:
"Call me through Heimdall if you need anything. Got it?"
Liu Rui'an, knowing that Thor was sincere and not just being polite, sighed at the thought that his plan to take over Asgard would likely not be carried out. He then smiled and said:
"Same to you, my friend."
After a brief farewell, Liu Rui'an soon left Asgard with the rainbow light column.
"Heimdall, has he arrived?" Thor asked, walking up to the guardian of Asgard.
"He has arrived," Heimdall replied, pulling his sword out of the control panel, his face expressionless.
"Father asked if he left any messages," Thor asked, his expression somewhat serious.
"No," Heimdall shook his head, then rare for him, a smile appeared on his face as he teased:
"If anything, the girls might have trouble sleeping because they miss him."
Hearing this, Thor breathed a sigh of relief, and his previously serious expression instantly relaxed.
Meanwhile, Liu Rui'an, riding the rainbow light column, arrived smoothly on Xandar.
After memorizing the teleportation pattern under his feet, he stomped and flew a few meters off the ground, heading toward the nearest city.
During his month in Asgard, Liu Rui'an didn't waste his time.
Though Thor's combat strength was limited, the frequent sparring sessions, where he could go all out without worrying about accidentally killing his opponent, brought Liu Rui'an significant gains.
His strength and speed didn't increase much, but his control was noticeably more refined.
For example, the teleportation pattern that originally seemed imprinted on the ground was, with a single stomp, scraped off like it had been cut with a knife, leaving the soil beneath undamaged.
Soon, Liu Rui'an reached the edge of the city. Looking at the futuristic city, he had to admit that while the Xandarians looked similar to Earth humans, their civilization was far more advanced.
Seeing the flying vehicles constantly passing overhead in the direction he had come from, Liu Rui'an knew his arrival had definitely caught the attention of the Xandarian government.
Fortunately, he hadn't flown directly to high altitude while traveling, otherwise, these vehicles would have not only rushed to the teleportation site but also come directly to him.
Even so, Liu Rui'an knew his movements wouldn't remain hidden for long. He didn't waste any more time and immediately used the terrain to cover his approach to the city.
Not long after Liu Rui'an disappeared from his original location, a fleet of flying vehicles appeared in the sky above the area.
Unfortunately, Liu Rui'an, having easily obtained a Xandarian's genetic sample upon entering the city, quickly disappeared into the crowd.
After changing his identity several times and successfully evading the search teams, Liu Rui'an didn't spend much time and soon arrived at his destination, a store that ostensibly sold luxury items but secretly acted as a middleman for various bounty tasks.
This middleman, in "Guardians of the Galaxy," was a minor character who, though initially scared by the protagonist Star-Lord into not continuing his business of finding the cosmic cube, was later forced by the Centaurian hunter Yondu to reveal his client's information and even had an expensive item stolen. However, he ultimately survived the invasion by Ronan.
Thanks to the high-end nature of the middleman's business, which most people couldn't afford, Liu Rui'an easily controlled the alien shopkeeper with his mental powers after knocking on the door.
After making the alien old man close the shop early, Liu Rui'an took out the only item he had brought with him besides his clothes.
A circular disc with metal tassels around the edge.
This item looked like a decoration but was actually a storage device developed by the Star-Lord based on Kryptonian technology.
Indeed, in a way, this disc was similar to the legendary "storage bag" or "spatial ring."
Among the Kryptonian technologies Liu Rui'an obtained from the AI based on his father, Superman, one was the dimensional space technology used to exile General Zod and others to the Phantom Zone.
The Phantom Zone was actually an independent dimensional space. If Krypton hadn't exploded, General Zod and his followers would have remained imprisoned there indefinitely.
In Liu Rui'an's view, using this technology just to exile criminals was a waste.
After several improvements by the Star-Lord, this spatial device was created.
When Liu Rui'an used his invisible mental power to lift the disc into the air, it activated, split into three pieces, and expanded outward.
As bright white energy beams connected the three pieces, the metal tassels, which originally looked like a string of beads, began to move like tentacles, enveloped in a layer of electric arcs.
When the disc finally formed an equilateral triangle with two-meter sides, several metal cubes were ejected.
The first dark golden metal cube that appeared was, of course, the angelic weapon Liu Rui'an was already familiar with.
The next metal cube, when activated, quickly reassembled into a portable quantum computer.
The subsequent metal cubes were raw materials. Given enough time and a suitable environment, such as a resource-rich asteroid belt, Liu Rui'an was confident he could quickly build a space fleet.
Of course, at the moment, building a space fleet didn't seem particularly meaningful.
The purpose of taking out these items was mainly to prepare for his next plan.
As the quantum computer reassembled, a batch of holographic images, reconstructed from Liu Rui'an's memory, quickly appeared before the alien shopkeeper.
If someone familiar with "Guardians of the Galaxy" were present, they would recognize these images as scenes from the planet where the cosmic cube containing the Power Stone was located.
Indeed, Liu Rui'an's purpose in coming to Xandar was to obtain the cosmic cube containing the Power Stone.
In Liu Rui'an's plan, he intended to embed this gem, which possessed boundless destructive power, into an appropriate weapon.
Hmm... While he couldn't claim to be invincible in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he could certainly dominate a significant area.
Of course, the prerequisite was not to attract the attention of entities like the Celestials.
Otherwise, well... (To be continued...)
