The female doctor was also extremely surprised.

She knew that the old man indeed had two gunshot wounds, but this was not something she had discovered herself; it was the old man who had told her. She never expected that this person could diagnose such a condition just by taking his pulse! Could it be that his hand had the function of an X-ray?

Tan Hengxing was shocked, and he was increasingly convinced that this young man could cure his father.

He hurriedly replied, "My father was a soldier in the past. He went to the battlefield when he was young and was hit by bullets. Two of those times, he almost lost his life. One bullet hit right next to his heart, grazing it. It was from that time that he developed his illness."

Lin Chen nodded, understanding that the old man was a soldier, which explained why he remained much calmer in the face of death than most people.

He said, "Don't worry, I can treat this illness. I need a few silver needles. I can help the old man regain some vitality right now. Then I'll prescribe some traditional Chinese medicine, which he should take once a day after dinner. He'll be fully recovered in a month."

Tan Hengxing was overjoyed upon hearing this. The old man also smiled, though he was not afraid of death, who would willingly die if they could live?

Tan Hengxing called out to the nurses in the room, "Silver needles! Quickly, do you have any silver needles? Bring them over quickly!"

What Lin Chen didn't expect was that Doctor Leng would interject, "I have silver needles. Wait a moment, I'll go get them." She then ran out of the room.

For a moment, Lin Chen's impression of Doctor Leng improved. This person showed no jealousy or anger at being outshone by him; instead, she seemed to be looking forward to it. A person who truly aspired to achieve something should have the courage to face reality and continuously improve themselves.

What Lin Chen didn't know was that the female doctor's name was Leng Hanyan, and she was a medical enthusiast. Just as others might be obsessed with martial arts and called martial fanatics, Leng Hanyan was obsessed with medicine, a true medical fanatic. When she saw that Lin Chen could diagnose the patient's condition just by taking his pulse, she couldn't help but admire him.

Moreover, she had long been fascinated by the ancient medical art of acupuncture. Unfortunately, she had never encountered anyone skilled in this area, and even the people in the hospital's traditional Chinese medicine department were, in her view, completely inadequate.

When she heard that Lin Chen was going to use silver needles to save the patient, she was so excited that she ran to find the needles, completely forgetting her earlier anger towards Lin Chen.

A few minutes later, Leng Hanyan returned with the silver needles.

Lin Chen picked up three silver needles and, without disinfecting them, a greenish light flashed over the needles before he began his treatment.

He inserted a needle into the old man's back, chest, and abdomen, seemingly in a simple manner. The old man felt a cool sensation from each needle as Lin Chen manipulated them, and his body quickly regained strength, no longer feeling weak and powerless.

In less than five minutes, Lin Chen removed all the silver needles.

Leng Hanyan was amazed and asked, "Is it really over?"

She hadn't even begun to understand the technique!

Lin Chen nodded and said, "It's over."

The old man closed his eyes, as if sensing something, then opened them and laughed heartily, "Hahaha, I haven't felt this energetic in years! I feel like I could get out of bed and run a few kilometers!"

Lin Chen said, "You can. However, I'll prescribe some medicine. You still need to take it for a month to fully recover. Your body is still very weak, and your internal organs have suffered a lot of damage."

He admired this old man who had been hit by bullets for his country.

The old man, upon hearing this, actually got out of bed and took a few steps.

Leng Hanyan was stunned. A person she had deemed terminal was now walking around after just a few minutes, which undoubtedly overturned her years of medical knowledge.

Tan Hengxing, seeing his father recover, had tears in his eyes.

He said to Lin Chen, "Young man, I haven't asked your name yet?"

Until now, he had truly begun to take this young man seriously.

Although he had felt some regret and had been polite to Lin Chen earlier, that politeness was merely a formality. As a famous entertainment mogul in Yuehai City, not everyone had the privilege to be his friend.

By asking Lin Chen's name, he clearly intended to form a friendship. At this moment, Lin Chen was definitely worth his attention!

The most terrifying people in the world are assassins, as they take lives. The most desirable people to befriend are undoubtedly skilled doctors, as they save lives.

No matter how powerful a person is, they cannot be free from illness and disaster for life. Knowing a divine doctor would provide an additional layer of security.

Lin Chen knew that the entertainment mogul had finally taken him seriously, so he smiled and said, "My name is Lin Chen, the 'Lin' in 'double wood' and the 'Chen' in 'star.'"

Tan Hengxing nodded, deeply engraving the name in his mind, then said, "I'm much older than you, so can I call you Brother Lin? If you don't mind, you can call me Brother Tan?"

Lin Chen smiled and said, "Sure, Brother Tan. You don't need to thank me. Actually, I have a favor to ask."

Tan Hengxing suddenly understood. No wonder Lin Chen had asked if he had any problems after seeing his business card. He had a purpose.

However, he wasn't bothered by this. As a businessman, he felt more at ease knowing that the other party had a request. If someone helped him without any expectations, he would be suspicious.

He smiled and said, "Oh? Go ahead and ask. I'll do my best to help you!"

Lin Chen said, "I haven't decided on the matter yet. I'll contact you when the time comes."

He planned to have Tan Hengxing handle Su Xiran's issue. It would be best to bring Su Xiran along to meet Tan Hengxing, so she could get to know him. This way, with Tan Hengxing's protection, no one would dare to mess with her at the company.

Tan Hengxing nodded and repeated that he would do his best to help Lin Chen.

With his goal achieved, Lin Chen wrote a prescription for the old man and was about to leave. As he stepped out of the ward, Leng Hanyan followed him and grabbed his arm.

Lin Chen looked at her in confusion.

Leng Hanyan's eyes were filled with enthusiasm and admiration, which startled Lin Chen.

"Wh-What are you doing?" Lin Chen asked, feeling a bit awkward. Her action had already attracted the attention of many people, after all, this mixed-race beauty was too stunning.

Leng Hanyan, however, paid no attention to the onlookers. Her personality was cold, and she seemed to only care about the people she cared about, barely glancing at others. She said to Lin Chen, "Lin Chen, will you teach me acupuncture?"

Her cold voice carried a hint of pleading.

Lin Chen didn't expect her to have this in mind and immediately shook his head, "No, I won't teach you."

He had just inherited the knowledge and had many things to do; he had no intention of teaching anyone.

Leng Hanyan, unaware of this, frowned and said, "Although I grew up in the United States, I have always been interested in Chinese medicine and have some knowledge of it. I heard that many ancient Chinese medical techniques are passed down only to men or not to outsiders. Is that the case with you?"

Lin Chen shook his head, "It has nothing to do with gender."

Leng Hanyan said, "Oh, so women can learn, but not outsiders?"

Lin Chen was momentarily confused. Who counted as an outsider? For the inheritance from Leng Dongliu, perhaps anyone other than him and Leng Dongliu was an outsider.

He said, "I guess so."

Leng Hanyan nodded, then circled around Lin Chen, making him feel a bit uneasy. Finally, she said, "How about I become your girlfriend? That way, I won't be an outsider."

Lin Chen nearly stumbled and fell, unable to follow her logic. He said, "That's not what I meant."

Leng Hanyan wrinkled her cute nose and said, "So you mean only if I become your wife, I won't be an outsider?"

Lin Chen immediately shook his head.

Leng Hanyan blushed, "So it means I have to bear your child?"

Lin Chen: "..."

Lin Chen realized that he couldn't reason with this woman, whose mind clearly worked differently. He had heard that foreigners were more direct, but this was taking it too far! He never expected her to be so obsessed with medicine that she would offer herself to learn acupuncture.

Lin Chen no longer lingered and turned to leave. Leng Hanyan chased after him, and his pace quickened.

With the spiritual energy in his body, he quickly distanced himself from Leng Hanyan.

Seeing Lin Chen getting farther away, Leng Hanyan stomped her long legs in anger but then laughed, "Don't think you can run away. You seem ordinary, but you're actually very capable. You're a very interesting person."

A cunning smile appeared on her cold, beautiful face, and the male doctors and patients in the corridor were stunned.

After walking for a while and seeing no one behind him, Lin Chen stopped. He felt that Leng Hanyan was easier to deal with when she had a cold expression. Her face, more立体 and gentle than most Eastern women, combined with her large, pleading eyes, made it hard for him to stay angry.

He called Su Xiran again, but after two rings, the call was hung up.

Hearing the dead air on the other end, Lin Chen panicked.

Su Xiran had never hung up on him before; this was clearly abnormal!

He had a bad feeling, a chill running down his spine, as if he was about to lose something important. He rushed towards the company in a hurry.

When he arrived at the company, the security guard only saw a blur pass by. When he focused, there was no one in sight. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he had hallucinated.

Lin Chen appeared at the door of the company's photography studio, hearing Su Xiran's voice inside. He kicked the door open and saw a scene that made him want to tear his eyes out!
