Having it pointed out, Akio immediately let go of Touya’s hand embarrassed.

Lined up on the low table for breakfast was superbly cut salmon, golden fried eggs, and piping hot miso soup with seaweed. Touya ate those delicious human foods like he did last night. In just a day, Touya seemed to have forgotten his palette as a cat.

“Did Kudou-san prepare this breakfast too?”

“Yes.”

Natsuki and Akio nodded.

“Kudou-san doesn’t eat together with everyone else? I wanted to say hello, but I guess I won’t be able to meet them.”

“Hmmm.”

Natsuki and Akio turned to each other.

“It’s because Kudou-san is shy. You probably won’t be able to meet Kudou-san for a while.”

Kiri replied. There was this man who wasn’t the father of these two boys, and a maid that never revealed themself. It was an oddly arranged family once he actually thought about it.

After breakfast Touya tried to help clean up, but like yesterday, he was told Kudou-san is here, and wasn’t allowed. However, he felt awkward being taken care of like this without doing anything in return. If he wasn’t able to help in the kitchen, he figured he could do some cleaning around the house instead. He had the knowledge that humans used certain tools to clean rooms and other things.

“Touya, you don’t need to do that. We’ll do it.”
