“Suzu……”

She made a shocked expression at Kiri.

“Ufufu, that was insensitive of me, wasn’t it?”

Suzu said as she frantically covered her mouth.

“By the way, Kiri-sama, Mimizuku was looking for you earlier. He said he visited your house, but you weren’t there. You must have just missed each other, huh.”

“What did he want?”

“A consultation. A matter you two have been discussing—he was quite adamant.”

There were menus affixed to the wall inside the shop that said things like anmitsu, and sweet red bean soup that made it appear to be a sweets shop. However, it didn’t have a sweet scent, and he felt a strange atmosphere all around. Different from outside, there seemed to be a chilly breeze blowing by…… When Touya started looking around the shop, Kiri called to him.

“Let’s go.”

Suzu escorted them further into the shop, and led them to a room more spacious than he could have imagined. When he saw the shop from the street, it looked small, but the size of this room contradicted its façade. He couldn’t explain how it was only spacious on the inside. The only thing he could think of was the space was somehow managed by spiritual energy like Kiri’s home. At the end of the dark hallway, he could see a large torii in the distance. It looked as if a path continued even further beyond it. The red torii glowed faintly with a whimsical light. He wondered why there was a torii inside of this shop.
