The room was dim and narrow. Only a few rays of light could penetrate through the cracks in the window. They barely illuminated the single large table and two chairs in the otherwise empty room.

Bai Zhi was locked in this dim and narrow space by Gu Ze. She sat alone in the center of the room with her wrists bound with twine facing the table. There was some redness and swelling on her face, and her dark gray uniform was dusty and disheveled. Her head drooped down, and her lips were slightly parted—her breaths came quick and shallow.

Gu Ze lifted her chin and gently rubbed her soft, pink lips. “Why were you together with Li Xiao and Xiang Chen? And why did you have a gun on you?”

“Why… Why were you guys blocking the exit?” Bai Zhi asked in a shaky voice.

He raised a brow, “Answer my questions first.”

“W-We agreed to escape together. The gun was taken from Di Qing,” she confided part of the truth. “It’s your turn.”

“Hmmm, your answer… is not very satisfactory,” Gu Ze leaned down. He pressed his lips against her ear and said in a low voice, “You should be thankful that your aim was so bad. Had you actually hit Zheng Ze today, he would have torn you to shreds right then and there…”

She shuddered. Whether it was due to relief or out of fear, she had no idea.

Gu Ze chuckled, turned, and licked her earlobe. His hot breath felt like thousands of tiny needles prickling her skin, “Even I, wouldn’t have been able to save you…”

Bai Zhi tilted her head away from him and asked quietly, “Li Xiao and Xiang Chen… how are they?”

“You’re such a downer—How can you mention other men at a time like this?” He bit her earlobe hard.

“Ah!” Bai Zhi exclaimed, “… Tell me.”

“Xiang Chen is still useful, so he is safe… for now. As for Li Xiao…” he paused, deliberately whetting her anxiety.

“He… How is he?” Bai Zhi asked uneasily.

“Between Li Xiao and Zhao Zixun, if only one can survive, which one would you choose?”

“Wh-what do you mean…? Why would you ask such a thing?” Bai Zhi was shocked. Could it be? Was Zhao Zixun also…?

“It’s just a question,” the man laughed.

“Don’t fool around,” she was still worried.

“There’s a rat amongst the prisoners…” he whispered in an all-knowing, mysterious tone.

“Wh-what do you mean? What kind of rat? Was it someone spying for the guards? Or…” the warden?

Gu Ze cut her off. He pinched her chin and sealed his lips over hers. His tongue invaded her mouth, and he took his time to carefully explore every nook and cranny of her oral cavity. Their saliva mixed as his tongue swirled and danced inside her mouth.

Bai Zhi resisted at first but gradually softened into his arms as her head became muddled by the kiss.

“There’s a right time for everything,” Gu Ze’s voice was full of sexual insinuation. He suddenly lifted Bai Zhi princess-style and sat her on top of the table.

Her hands were tied behind her back. The rope was wound twice around her waist and drew a clear outline around her chest. The rough hemp dug into her soft flesh through her uniform every time she moved.

Panting, twisted her body trying to scoot away, but Gu Ze’s hands held her legs in place so that she had nowhere to go.

“I am not your enemy, you can trust me. Tell me how you feel, okay?” Gu Ze whispered cajolingly.

The strength of his grip on her was perfectly controlled—it restricted her movement but did not cause her any pain.

Aggrieved, she said, “Gu Ze, I-I… I’m not in the mood to do this…”

“But I’m so hard for you right now, it hurts. I want you so much. I never get to see you… We’re finally together again…” Gu Ze pulled her into his arms and plastered his body flush against hers. He showered gentle kisses all over her face. In a low voice, he coaxed, “Just help me out, okay?”

“I—” She lowered her head bashfully at his affectionate words. (TL: Uh… Say what?)

But even still, she felt uncomfortable at the thought of accepting when the fates Li Xiao and Xiang Chen’s were unclear.

“Li Xiao and Xiang Chen are safe. Help me out please, I’m begging you. I’ve been thinking about you all this time… I’m in so much pain… If I wait any longer my dick is going to break,” Gu Ze begged with his face buried in the crook of her shoulder. His hot breath fanned numbingly across the back of her neck and his lips sucked gently on her sensitive skin.

His words and actions sent warm, tingling sensations down her spine. Bai Zhi’s face flushed, and there was a soreness in her eyes. She blinked rapidly as her vision misted over.

“Are you lying to me?” Her tone was gentle.

“Why would I lie to you?” Gu Ze asked while licking the soft, tender spot on her neck. Slowly, he unbuttoned her shirt with his hands.
