The Eighth Son? That Can't Be Right!

Twenty-five-year-old Ichiya Shingo, an ordinary young company employee, goes to bed thinking about tomorrow's work. But when he wakes up, he's not in his apartment bedroom... He's been reborn as the eighth son of a poor noble family with a territory in a remote area, a child whose very existence is questionable. Luckily, he has magical talent, so he decides to become independent early and forge his own path. He has no experience with family matters, territorial succession, or internal affairs, so he can't do those things. What's wrong with making money with magic and living freely? Well, as is often the case in this world, he can't escape the constraints that arise from human activities. This is a story about such a young man, Wendelin von Benno Baumeister, who doesn't save the world. Note: The anime of The Eighth Son? That Can't Be Right! has been airing since April 2020. The novel version, the latest 25th volume, was released on April 25, 2022 (it's still going). The manga version of The Eighth Son? That Can't Be Right!, the latest 11th volume, will be released on May 23, 2022. The manga version is currently being serialized on Comic Walker! A drama CD is also available.
