Returning to the barracks, Allen noticed how dirty he was. After igniting his tinder, his body produced a lot of sweat, but it was different from his usual sweating. As the body condensed it’s first origin vortex, it excreted the toxins in the body through the form of sweat, one of the benefits of Origin. According to the manual, as his Origin became stronger and his level increased, his body would constantly evolve as well.

According to the manual, after every nine levels were an evolution point. After he overcame this point, the improvements to his body would become more obvious. For now, igniting his tinder only resulted in detoxification, and only after going through his first Gene Circuit would he be able to strengthen his body.

And as for what happened after the second and third Gene Circuit, it was something Allen had to find out himself.

This was a whole new world.

Allen went and took a bath before returning to the barracks again, but this time, he could feel a strange atmosphere present. A few of the thirteen year olds seemed to be waiting for him, and watching as he entered the barracks, they circled him with ill intent.

“Move.” Allen spoke coldly.

One of the white youths spoke cheerfully, “I heard you were raised by wolves.”

After two months of interaction, the children had mingled together, and as information about their lives were no secret, it wasn’t strange for them to know of Allen’s past. But what was strange, was that they mentioned it now.

“It doesn’t concern you.” Pushing him aside, Allen tried to walk past them.

Two of the bigger boys immediately blocked his path.

Behind them, a black child was looking at him with a smile. Seeing this situation, Allen understood instantly that this boy was the one commanding the rest. Allen remembered that his name was Mao, and that he was one of the strongest children in terms of size. Because of that, a group of the children decided to follow him around, creating a small clique. But as they were extremely busy in the past, there was little opportunity for interaction.

But today, Allen was the first to ignite his tinder. That had set him apart from the rest, and these children were obviously commanded by Mao to pick on him.

Understanding the situation, Allen took a step back as he surveyed these children, “I know what you’re up to. If you have so much energy, I recommend all of you to save it for the second injection to ignite your tinder.”

“Oh, what’s this? A threat?” The previous white kid laughed.

Allen shook his head, “Just a reminder. I’m reminding you to stay out of my way, there’s no benefit for you from this!”

The children’s faces changed and the white boy looked towards Mao, who had already clenched his fists. Glancing at his two companions, the boys closed the doors and the windows, creating a silence in the barracks as the atmosphere became stiff.

As for the other children, they hid on their beds to avoid trouble.

And as the last window was closed, the smile on the white boy’s disappeared as he shoved Allen, “What’s with your cockiness? You were only lucky, you trash, a trash that follows the asses of the damned wolves for scraps!”

Allen smiled, “Is that so? What about you wasting this chance, doesn’t that make you worse than trash?”

Listening to Allen’s words, the children’s breathing became heavier and the white boy’s face turned red, “You mutt! You’re just the product of your mom and a filthy wolf…”

Before he could finish his sentence, a fist slammed into his face. The force of the punch sent the boy’s head sideways as something flew out of his mouth, it was a ball of blood containing a few of his teeth!

Allen’s punch sent the boy a few steps backwards, his red eyes filled with killing intent. The current him was similar to the feral beasts in the wilderness, and the boy’s once suppressed feral side was back again. He didn’t shout nor scream, he simply spoke with a low voice, “Don’t you are insult my mom! Are you looking to die?”

Chills appeared in the children’s hearts as they turned towards Mao. With a point of a finger from Mao, the children shouted as they charged towards him. After the two months of high difficulty training, their bodies had became significantly stronger. But even with this improvement, they were still incapable of defeating a seasoned soldier. And Allen, even before he entered the barracks, had killed more than one soldier himself.

In his eyes, he could see all sorts of openings in the movements of these children. He might not have learned to fight under the system, but in the five years of living in the wild, Allen had already learnt how to kill.

Lowering his body, Allen slid against the ground and pounced on one of the boys. He raised his head and slammed it against the boy’s head, stunning him. In the next second, Allen was already moving between these children, his movements had became even more agile and it took him no effort to take on these boys.

In just a few moves, he beat all of them down. If they had been in anywhere other than the barracks, Allen would’ve killed them in seconds.

In the snow wolves’s vocabulary, there was no such word as mercy.

Mao looked on with shock, this was far from what he had expected. And as he stood there, Allen had already retreated towards the window. He slammed his fist onto the glass, shattering it with a loud sound as Mao’s expression changed, he immediately assumed that Allen was going to call for the instructors outside. With a low yell, he pounced towards Allen. And unsurprisingly, a light flashed past his eyes and he felt a sharp pain at his neck.

The black boy instinctively stopped in his tracks, an action that saved his life. Otherwise, the sharp shard of glass in Allen’s hands would’ve cut into his throat. Allen was a whole head shorter than the boy, but at this moment, his aura overwhelmed him. His hand gripped onto the shard tightly, cutting himself in the process. But his actions remained steady as it aimed at Mao’s neck, right at where the artery was. In just one step, Mao would’ve been able to meet god.

That is, if there was a god in this world.

“I already said, stay out of my way. You, picked the wrong opponent.” Allen spoke calmly.

The doors of the barracks suddenly opened as a few instructors rushed in. One of them took out a whip from his belt and whipped at Allen, slapping on his hand and releasing the glass he was holding. Only then did Lieutenant Ron walk in, he looked at the collapsed children and whistled, “Who’s going to tell me, what the fuck is going on?”

Mao shouted, “Lieutenant, it’s Allen, he….”

A whip flew his way, slapping onto his nose and his lips. The whip split opened his skin and sent him staggering backwards. In Ron’s hands were a whip that suddenly appeared, he smiled cruelly, “Do you think I’m an idiot? You actually tried to use such a retarded attempt to challenge my intelligence! As I’ve said, you’re all a bunch of trash, eight of you couldn’t even beat one person. Beat them, ten lashes each!”

He then turned to Allen with a smile, “You’re no exception, kid! Internal fighting is prohibited in the barracks.”

Allen and the other children were brought onto the training grounds and tied onto the wooden stakes under the burning sun to receive their punishment. The ten whips were all aimed at their chests, with a strength that made the children scream in agony. Barely controlling the urge to scream, Allen gritted his teeth as every muscle in his body trembled.

After ten whips, Mao and the others were brought back into the barracks by the instructors. There were eight that left, and only seven that returned. The white boy that had provoked Allen was whipped to death, saving himself the second chance he had at igniting his tinder.

Allen walked back himself, and as the children watched the white haired boy walk back with his weaker body, leaving bloody footprints in his trail, they felt chills. Only today did they learn that having a large physique didn’t mean anything.

On the second day, Ron didn’t allow any chances for these injured children to rest, and they still had to participate in their training. And as they fell behind on the training, they received even more beatings. Even Allen had to grit his teeth as he barely followed the group, incapable of out performing the children as usual.

Only after the third day did his injuries get better, and after half a month, it was time for the children to use the drug again. This time, Allen was able to get some rare leisure time.

And after the metal doors of the isolated room opened, the black boy Mao walked out with pride. He had successfully ignited his tinders this time.

And in yet another month, the third origin user appeared amongst the children. It was a white girl named Mary, and in the time limit of two months, only three children passed.

On the last night of the fourth month, the barracks door opened. Ron walked in and called, “Number 666, 548 and 273, come out.”

Allen, Mao and Mary walked out. Ron nodded, “Follow me.”

And as they walked out, five instructors and a team of fully equipped soldiers entered the barracks. After closing the doors of the barracks, the children’s screams accompanied by gunshots could be heard. Blood and fire could be seen flying everywhere through the windows, and as they watched, the faces of the three children paled. It was obvious that Ron had used his unorthodox method of “elimination”.

And as dawn came, it was Allen’s fifth month in the barracks. After completing his morning training, he sat himself as he enjoyed his meal in the canteen. Today, it was particularly quiet as they ate, with the other two children also sitting alone on their own tables. After the “purging” yesterday, there was only three of them left.
