"Since it's already dark, let's rest here for the night!" As Lily spoke, she had already driven the Land Rover to the entrance of the dormitory area.
Lipangzi and Yan Zekun naturally had no objections. The zombie horde could attack at any time. Wandering outside at night was simply courting death.
Although they were very worried about Harrow's team and Albe and the others who stayed in Wonderland, Lipangzi and the others had no other choice but to ensure their own safety first.
The dormitory was an open area with no main gate. There were some zombies between the buildings, but not many. Lily ran over the zombies blocking the way with the car, leaving only a few outside.
Lily drove the car all the way to the deepest part of the dormitory area and stopped in front of one of the buildings. The dormitory area consisted of small three-story buildings, about a dozen in total.
Although a bit old, the area was quite spacious, and there was a small river nearby. The sunset shone on the river, and the breeze made the willow branches sway, causing ripples on the water.
So beautiful! Well, if it weren't for the groaning zombies outside the car.
Yan Zekun and Lipangzi pushed open the car doors and pushed away the zombies blocking the way. Then they jumped out of the Land Rover and started dealing with them with machetes.
Lily stayed in the car, examining the dormitory building in front of her.
So far, she hadn't fought any zombies. In her view, as a girl, as long as she didn't cause trouble for the men, she was already doing a great job.
Fortunately, there weren't many zombies. After several days of fighting, Lipangzi and Yan Zekun's combat skills had improved a lot. Seeing that the zombies were cleared, Lily got out of the car.
"This place is relatively safe. The zombie horde probably won't come this far in." After saying that, Lily walked to the front of the dormitory building and swiped her student card on the door.
The door lock flashed red and didn't open.
"Fatso, what's going on? It won't open?" Lily turned and asked.
"It would be a miracle if it opened. You don't live here, so how could your student card open someone else's dorm?" Lipangzi said, walking over, speechless.
"Alright, then we have a problem. How do we get into such a secure door?" Lily patted the dormitory door and asked again, helplessly.
Most of the doors they had seen before were glass doors, which were very weak against impact. This dormitory door was as secure as a burglar-proof door in China! According to Fang Qian, the security level was 99.9%.
"This is a real problem," Lipangzi said, also knocking on the door.
Well, the possibility of breaking in was 0%. Fang Qian would definitely say that if he were here.
Of course, no one inside could open the door. Should they just leave?
Yan Zekun was also at a loss. The windows on the first floor had burglar bars. Even if they broke them, the zombies could get in, so that wasn't an option. He looked up at the second-floor windows, all of which were tightly closed. If Richard were here, it might be possible, but it would be very difficult for them to climb to the second floor and break the window to get in.
Just as Lily and Yan Zekun were deep in thought, Lipangzi struck a pose he thought was very cool and said, "Follow me, in critical moments, it's still the fat master who can be relied upon!"
The three of them carefully circled around to the back of the dormitory building, encountering no zombies.
Lipangzi pointed to the dormitory building and said, "Although I only lived here for a short time, I know the structure of the dormitory very well. Each building has three floors, and each floor is divided into two groups of dormitories, so each building has six groups of dormitories: A, B, C, D, E, and F."
Lipangzi explained to Lily and Yan Zekun in detail.
"Each group of dormitories has five rooms, and five people share one kitchen and one bathroom. So, each building houses thirty people."
Lipangzi walked to a large glass window on the first floor and pointed inside, continuing, "Each group's kitchen is on the back side of the building, right here. Look up, the kitchens on the second and third floors have small balconies."
After hearing Lipangzi's words, Lily and Yan Zekun looked up. The balconies were very small, about three to four square meters. The balcony doors were closed, and it was unclear if they were locked.
"Although breaking the glass on the first-floor kitchen would be easier, it wouldn't be able to defend against zombies. So..." Lipangzi pointed to the balcony on the second floor, and his meaning was clear.
Lily looked at the height of the second-floor balcony and said, "Right, we can't break the glass on the first floor, but the balcony on the second floor is fine. Even if we can't open the balcony door, we can break the window to get in. After all, zombies can't climb to the second floor."
Lipangzi and Yan Zekun nodded, agreeing with this plan.
"So, the question is, how do we get up to the second-floor balcony? The height is not low, and there's nothing to climb on." Lily looked at Lipangzi and Yan Zekun, indicating that they needed to come up with an idea.
"Don't worry, this is a piece of cake for Old Yan," Lipangzi patted Yan Zekun's shoulder and said.
"Who told you it's no problem?" Yan Zekun glanced at Lipangzi and asked.
"Your height and build should make it no problem!" Lipangzi said, looking at Yan Zekun with trust.
Yan Zekun replied seriously, "I've never climbed a tree since the day I was born."
"Who's going to do it then?" Seeing the two of them shirking, Lily asked impatiently.
"Him!"
"Him!"
The two of them said in unison.
"Didn't you just say that in critical moments, you, the fat master, are the most reliable?" Yan Zekun nudged Lipangzi with his elbow and teased.
"But climbing over the wall isn't my strong suit! Old Yan, you look like you're good at this kind of thing," Lipangzi said, trying to pass the responsibility to Yan Zekun.
"You damn..."
"Old Yan, I think you're more reliable than the fatso. Why don't you give it a try?" Lily didn't believe Lipangzi could climb to the second floor, so she encouraged Yan Zekun to climb the wall.
"Don't call me Old Yan! I'm not old!"
"Don't call me fatso! It's not a good omen!"
The two of them said in unison, agitated.
"Stop clowning around. If no one climbs the wall, we'll have to sleep on the street tonight." Lily looked at the two of them, who were acting like kids, and said helplessly.
Just as Lipangzi was hesitating whether to let Yan Zekun step on him to form a human ladder, a voice came from the second floor.
"What's all the noise? Did you forget your keys or something!?"
A messy-haired, highly nearsighted boy stuck his head out of a window and asked.
The three of them were stunned by the sudden appearance of a fourth person in their conversation.
"The noise is keeping me from sleeping! Open the door yourselves. I'm in room D on the second floor. Bring my keys up when you come in!" The boy said, then threw his student card and the key to room D out of the window.
