Chen Ang gently pushed open the glass door of the Federal Reserve Bank. The smooth marble floor reflected his shadow, and the crisp sound of his footsteps echoed. Everyone in the hall turned their heads in surprise, and a young customer service representative approached Chen Ang, saying, “I’m sorry, sir, the bank is not conducting business today. We apologize for the inconvenience...”

“Hey! Stop right there!” a man in a police uniform barked.

Chen Ang stopped, smiling at him.

“Take off your glasses. We suspect you have ties to terrorists. Now, put your hands on your head and get down on the ground!” the officer sternly ordered, his tone extremely harsh.

He frowned as he watched Chen Ang raise his hand to the frame of his glasses, and the impatient officer raised his gun, “I said, get down! Now! Hands on your head!”

The female customer’s face turned pale. She pleaded with Chen Ang, “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” urging him to comply with the officer’s demands.

Chen Ang took off his glasses, and the already impatient officer stepped forward, only to see the customer service representative gaping in shock at Chen Ang. The young woman’s legs trembled, almost unable to stand, tears streaming down her face. She stammered, “Sir, I know nothing! Don’t kill me!”

The officer pulled the woman away, raising his gun. He was surprised to see the silver frame in Chen Ang’s hand turn to sand and fall to the floor, disappearing.

“Put your hands on your head, or I’ll shoot!”

“No! Don’t!” The customer service representative had recognized Chen Ang, identifying the young man who had been on the rooftop of the Empire State Building a few days ago. She was terrified and tried to stop the officer’s impulsive actions.

But it was too late. The bullet was fired.

The shiny brass bullet shot out of the gun at an astonishingly slow speed, clearly visible to the female customer. The bullet deformed, softened, and twisted at the muzzle, rapidly reassembling into something like a miniature aircraft, which then returned to the gun.

Then, the entire gun in the officer’s hand began to transform. The deformed mechanism coiled around his wrist like a snake, rapidly evolving and reshaping before the eyes of the female customer. The structure became extremely complex, and the officer screamed in agony, shouting for help.

Surrounding security personnel, police, and special agents quickly converged, but the hall had already undergone a drastic change. All metal objects, whether security doors, decorations, or even the tips of pens and belt buckles, began to deform and attack.

Metal particles attacked the nearest humans while rapidly aggregating, forming tiny mechanical insects that pounced on others, drilling into their bodies, causing unconsciousness and fainting. Dozens of security personnel collapsed on the marble floor, their weapons crawling on the ground and gathering in front of Chen Ang.

A massive metal pillar appeared before everyone’s eyes. It inserted its tentacles into the electrical wires, drawing power and energy, transforming into a scorching electromagnetic furnace.

Silver-white nanobots rushed out of the furnace, forming dozens of intricately structured combat robots on the ground, charging into the hall. Chen Ang gently waved his hand, using gravity to push the fallen people to a safe place. He gave a slight nod, and the female customer trembled as she followed.

“Everyone, relax. I’m here to rob the bank!” Chen Ang smiled.

In the disbelieving eyes of the crowd, Chen Ang took a step forward and shouted to those inside, “You are surrounded. Do not resist. Resistance is futile!”

“You are challenging the dignity of America, and you cannot bear its wrath!” A man in black stepped out of the hall. The robots around him were dismantled by an invisible force. A young woman beside him sneered at Chen Ang, suddenly opening her mouth wide, facing Chen Ang.

Her companion skillfully took out a headset and put it on.

A powerful sound wave erupted, sweeping through the hall, shattering all items in front of Chen Ang. Glass within dozens of miles exploded simultaneously, and the hostages in the hall screamed, but the woman’s sound wave overpowered them. In their panic, they did not notice that the area around them was completely clean, without a single piece of glass.

Chen Ang found a chair and sat down leisurely.

The nanobots shattered in the sound wave but quickly adjusted their structure, reassembling into instruments in front of Chen Ang to measure the physical data of the sound wave. The surrounding concrete crumbled, exposing the steel structure, while Chen Ang’s collar was only slightly disheveled.

“Interesting ability!” Chen Ang commented.

The elite agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the mutant Banshee and Rupture, looked at Chen Ang with disbelief. Banshee retracted her sound wave, looking at the calm Chen Ang, and the two almost couldn’t suppress their anger. A hint of savagery flashed across Rupture’s face, but he quickly controlled his impulse.

He glanced at the strange nanobots and sneered, “Let’s clean up this trash first!”

Without a shockwave, high temperature, or any sound or light effects, a powerful pressure descended, crushing the surrounding robots into scrap metal.

“You shouldn’t provoke us. We are not the useless army,” Rupture said calmly and cruelly. “You should know who the true masters of this country are. Their power is beyond your imagination! Don’t think that defeating the government’s useless forces is impressive. The power of capital is something you can’t even fathom!”

“You should choose your friends wisely!” Banshee giggled. “Mr. Morgan is eager to meet you. He is very interested in your mutant theories. Mr. Morgan believes that mutants, as a new political force, have already taken the stage. He can offer you support beyond your imagination.”

“You have gone too far in Manhattan, but solving this problem is a minor issue for Mr. Morgan. He can give you a new identity and make the U.S. government forget about this.” Rupture spoke with the typical arrogance and condescension of a white elite. “In the days to come, you will know our power! The public doesn’t understand us, but you need to understand us, or else...” Banshee smiled ambiguously, handing over a file. “Look at our strength. You will know who you must be friends with and what interests cannot be touched.”

Chen Ang glanced at the file but did not take it.

Banshee’s face darkened, and she sneered, “Don’t die without knowing why. If I were you, I would read it carefully!” She had never seen anyone dare to refuse the terrifying power that controlled the world’s capital. This power could scare anyone to death.

It could be said that if these people were dissatisfied, even the leader of the world’s only superpower could die silently.

They controlled 80% of the world’s wealth and 60% of its capital. They were the financial elite, the true masters of the world, and the hand behind political power.

Such a force could achieve any goal on Earth.

Unfortunately, this Earth is too small, and the world is too vast.

“I don’t need to understand these!” Chen Ang said coolly. “I’m not interested in ants that get stepped on as they pass by, nor do I care about their strength. What’s the difference between a weak ant and a slightly stronger one?”

“By the same logic, why should I understand a relic of history? Filled with decay, corruption, and stupidity, a force that cannot drive social progress or advance science, will eventually be crushed by the tide of history or by me.”

A mocking smile appeared on Banshee’s face. She took several steps back, standing behind Rupture. Chen Ang didn’t even bother to raise his hand.

A rustling sound filled the air, but there was no explosion or fire. A massive steel dome in front of Chen Ang blocked Rupture’s atmospheric pressure. Rupture’s face turned red with effort, but the immense pressure in the air could not advance a single step. Chen Ang watched quietly.

Around them, countless nanobots, like ants, gathered into a massive wave. Banshee opened her mouth, and a powerful sound wave swept out, but it was ineffective against the sound-absorbing structure of the nanobots. Countless agile mechanical insects quickly pounced on them. Rupture’s face darkened as he formed a massive pressure zone in front of him.

The insects were pressed onto the marble floor by the pressure, but they continued to crawl forward with their tiny mechanical limbs. Rupture could see that the robots were rapidly changing their structure to adapt to the immense pressure. He even noticed that many of the mechanical insects had already restructured themselves before pouncing.

More and more insects pounced, getting closer to the two. Rupture’s face turned blue with effort, and the marble floor cracked under the immense pressure. However, the rapidly changing mechanical insects were getting closer, forming a more efficient structure, advancing step by step.

The restructured robots, with cold light in their electronic eyes, pressed forward.

The two turned pale, and Banshee bit her lower lip, shouting at Chen Ang, “You will regret this! You have no idea how big a mistake you’ve made, how terrifying an enemy you’ve provoked. This world will have no place for you!” She screamed hysterically at Chen Ang.

Chen Ang ignored her, looking into the distance. A real military force was on its way, elite soldiers who had undergone X-gene surgery, mutant clones, armed with plastic guns and high-tech weapons from major tech companies, approaching the area.

The power of capital represented the most advanced technology, the most powerful weapons, and the most imaginative and bizarre technology and military forces in the world. Some of the black tech even made Chen Ang glance sideways. Many human data points, even those Chen Ang had not studied, were already applied here, having been tested through bloody trials.

If viewed from above, the area was already surrounded by countless elite teams. If seen from a greater distance, Chen Ang’s position was the center of the crosshairs of countless destructive weapons. (To be continued)
