The hall was filled with a suffocating sense of oppression. The warriors, genetically modified with the X gene, possessed astonishing agility and strength, having survived the high-risk death surgery. Their minds had been tempered like steel. They wore protective gear made of composite materials and approached Chen Ang in small teams.

In the air, the heat caused the air to distort, forming a straight line toward Chen Ang's heart. A scorching laser beam shot out from a large attack platform dozens of kilometers away, traveling at the speed of light, surpassing all reaction capabilities, and directly aimed at Chen Ang's heart.

Guided by the mutant Hawkeye, the warriors who completed this miraculous long-range attack had no time to celebrate. They saw the laser beam refract off Chen Ang's body, passing through the leg of "Rip." Gravity could naturally bend the direction of light, but Chen Ang didn't need to expend so much energy for this attack.

It was just a high-refractive metal mirror.

The melted metal mirror reassembled into nanobots.

"You're at the end of your rope!" Rip clutched his leg, beads of cold sweat rolling down his forehead. He and the Enchantress had already given up resistance amidst the encircling robots, but he still tried to make one last effort.

"This time, you can't escape. Do you know how many people you're facing? Twelve intelligence groups, over three hundred analysts, and technical experts from major corporations and universities. You're not just facing a few combat teams, but a system, a collective of hundreds of thousands of people."

"You're alone. Surrendering isn't a shameful thing!"

"Who said I'm alone?" Chen Ang smiled and asked.

The Enchantress glared at him, sneering, "Or these robots? How many robots do you have? You can't even get reinforcements. The combat teams' weapons are all composite materials, and the metal here is already used up. You have no resources!"

Chen Ang raised an eyebrow and smiled, "I have special transportation techniques!"

The Enchantress looked at him with disdain, and "Rip" slumped in the corner. The nearest combat team was less than five hundred meters away from Chen Ang.

Suddenly, a piercing scream echoed from the sky, and a massive meteor fell toward them. The Enchantress watched in shock as the huge meteor struck the center of the combat team, causing a terrifying explosion. The flying debris was as sharp as bullets, and the rolling mud waves instantly engulfed the approaching tactical team.

Chen Ang walked out of the hall, extending his right hand. The shockwave and earthquake that rushed toward him were calmed by an invisible force, like a huge, invisible wall blocking everyone. The Enchantress was horrified to see the meteor in the crater slowly stand up, a metal giant dozens of meters tall blocking the sun.

Then, in the incredulous eyes of countless people, the metal giant disintegrated, breaking into countless metal fragments, its surface flowing like liquid. The metal fragments danced in the electromagnetic storm, and countless nanobots combined and solidified, forming a metal tower several meters high in the air.

Dozens of kilometers away, in the center of Manhattan, a massive metal throne stood. Four steel pillars, glowing with electricity, pierced the sky, and a powerful electromagnetic field condensed between them. A metal projectile dozens of meters high floated in the air, accelerating in the electromagnetic field, and another electromagnetic cannon shot toward Chen Ang.

Five consecutive "projectiles" turned the building in front of Chen Ang into ruins. Countless objects exploded, and an alloy door flew out from the opposite building, landing on the road.

Chen Ang walked back into the hall, even stopping to greet a dazed young man in a car as he passed the alloy door. Ignoring the man's ghostly expression, he slowly returned to the Enchantress and Rip. He put away the cufflink he had been playing with and greeted them.

"See, now I don't lack resources!"

After saying that, he saw the two of them with expressions as if they had lost their parents.

The nanobots poured down, quickly disassembling everything they could find, from cables on the ground to fire hydrants, overhead power lines, and even cars speeding down the street. The alloy door that had landed in the middle of the road was also quickly decomposed.

Dozens of kilometers away, the metal throne emitted high-frequency, high-energy electromagnetic waves. The metal tower on the scene rapidly converted electrical energy, providing power to countless nanobots. As the electromagnetic cannons continued to arrive, liquid metal combat robots lined up in neat rows and marched forward.

The genetically modified warriors, with their extreme vitality, could even crawl out of the mud waves caused by the electromagnetic cannons. Before they could catch their breath, the flowing metal robots entangled them. Without circuits or weak points, these liquid robots, which could easily repair themselves, were naturally invincible.

Their metal bodies were incredibly tough, and their strength, with a power source, was almost limitless. These natural killing machines overwhelmed the superhuman army. Super strength and super speed were no match for super technology.

The liquid robots, equipped with several high-tech weapons, were like an extremely powerful, indestructible, and unmovable force, easily defeating the genetic forces.

A laser beam melted a liquid robot, but it quickly stood up again. The surface evaporated by the beam distorted like water and healed. Scott lowered his hand from his right sunglasses, his face dark. After calculating the volume of the robot that had disappeared, his brows furrowed.

"Laser beams don't do much to them. Storm, try to blow them into the sea," Scott ordered sternly. Logan, standing nearby, shook his head dismissively, "It won't work. Apocalypse's War Messengers, though not perfect, have gravity anchors! You should be grateful; if they were Type 2, they could fly and have electromagnetic weapons!"

"I'm not asking you, Wolverine!" Scott said with a harsh tone.

"Scott! Logan knows more than we do! You should consider his advice!" Storm advised, "The Professor brought us here to work together. Apocalypse isn't something we can defeat alone!"

"Even a few of us can't!" Logan said indifferently, "He's far more terrifying than you imagine. Now, it's just the War Messengers. Skynet almost wiped out humanity, but it's just one of Apocalypse's War Messengers. There are also the Plague Messengers, Famine Messengers, and the most dangerous and terrifying Death Messengers!"

"My point is, ignore him. He'll be gone soon anyway!" Logan shrugged.

"What about the others?" Storm frowned.

"Who knows? But apparently, they've killed aliens on several planets!" Logan took out a cigar and put it in his mouth, "Those things left Earth long ago. The Plague Messenger is supposedly on the far side of the moon. Back then, we were too busy dealing with Skynet to mess with that thing!"

"What makes the nanobots so difficult to deal with?" Storm asked quickly.

"Nanobots!" Logan seemed to be lost in distant memories, sighing, "The War Messengers, nanobots, their only function is to do anything, given enough time. There's nothing they can't do!"

Nanobots surged like a tide, forming a massive pile of iron. A few metal tentacles, glowing with electricity, extended from the nearby power tower and connected to the pile, pouring a continuous stream of energy into the nanobot swarm.

"Reconstruct technology!" Scott's face changed dramatically, and he pulled the driver to rush toward the distant hall.

Chen Ang was studying the genes of the Enchantress and Rip in front of him.

On the experimental table reconstructed by nanobots, Chen Ang observed their X genes and said, "Your abilities are actually very similar. One is vibration transmission, and the other is pressure transmission. The common point is that both require a medium to transmit force, but one is pressure, and the other is vibration."

"Whether it's pressure or sound waves, their nature is the same, both being forces. Your abilities belong to the force transmission category. Unfortunately, you've discovered that your abilities are much stronger underwater, which is due to the transmission of sound and water pressure."

"Why don't you think more about the medium? The ability of a medium to transmit energy is determined by its properties. Air is not a suitable medium, but water is much better."

Chen Ang sighed, looking at their mocking expressions, "I know air is more common than water, but you haven't understood my point. There are so many material media. Have you ever studied this? Even if you don't explore your abilities, you should at least develop them!"

"Do you know about gravity transmission? Dark matter?"

Seeing their confused expressions, Chen Ang sighed. They were just two more test subjects. Finding someone with a brain was truly difficult. This was just basic science, yet they were so ignorant, developing their abilities like a gamble.

He stood up and pointed to the massive metal tower reconstructed by nanobots, "The energy transmission capability of gravity is thousands of times greater than that of air. If sound waves were converted to gravitational waves, the result would be incredible!"

The massive metal tower began to operate slowly, the loud hum making everyone cover their ears. Then they saw a scene they would never forget.

The air distorted and exploded in the sky. In the direction the metal tower pointed, all matter was torn into discrete particles in a ten-thousandth of a second, the flying ashes sweeping over like a tidal wave. Everything, regardless of mass, hardness, size, or strength, turned to ashes in the face of this energy.

It started snowing in New York!

White ashes fell gently, covering the entire state of New York. (To be continued)
