In a blink of an eye, it was already time to prepare dinner.

Not to waste anything, Lin Miaomiao made a list of the food in the kitchen refrigerator according to their shelf life time and the ingredients closest to the shelf life would be consumed first.

She took out the meat and thawed it. Among them was a box of sliced oxtails with creamy white fat and dark red meat. The proportion of meat and beef bones was the same, neither too fat nor too thin.

After thawing, she soaked the oxtail in water then poured a little cooking wine and put two pieces of crushed ginger in it.

She was going to make a tomato oxtail mixed vegetable soup. She cut the top of the tomato into a cross, boiled it in hot water, peeled it from the crack and cut it into fine pieces.

Potatoes, onions, carrots and corn were diced and set aside.

She put the oxtail in a pot with cold water and added a small amount of star anise, blanched the cinnamon for a while and took out a bowl of cold water and use a kitchen towel to absorb the water and fried on low heat until both sides were slightly browned and poured in cold water and boiled.

In another pot, she stir-fried the tomatoes and potatoes and added an appropriate amount of tomato sauce and finally poured in the oxtail soup together with other vegetables and simmered it over low heat.

In addition, she also made her own specialty sesame pork ribs, which were blanched in water and stir-fried on low heat.

She stired fry until the meat shrank slightly, the bones on both sides were exposed and the knotted chives and ginger slices were fragrant. Then she added sugar, cooking wine, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, vinegar and poured boiling water to cover the ribs.

After simmering on low heat for half an hour, she added vinegar and sugar again and cooked on high heat until the juice thickened and sprinkled with white sesame seeds when serving.

The dish delivered today also included fresh seafood. The sea bass was marinated in cooking wine and then steamed. After steaming, it was covered with shredded green onion and ginger, drizzled with steamed soy sauce and then poured with hot oil.

The other dishes were steamed minced pork with cordyceps flower and spinach leaves with white fermented bean curd. To avoid any wastage, the water spinach stalks were cut into thin sections and stir-fried with white vinegar.

After she finished her work, she turned around and seasoned the oxtail soup that was about to be simmered.

She brought the oxtail soup to the table at the end, took out her mobile phone and was about to send a message to Song Yan to announce the meal but a man walked down the stairs directly.

A man dressed in a black suit with a tie, those who didn’t know would have thought that he came back from work outside.

Holding a glass in his hand, he approached her, “Are there any lemon slices?”

He had an angular face, about thirty years old, with long eyebrows and a high nose exuding the air of a mature man.

Lin Miaomiao met his gaze, only to see the dark eyes and a bit of coldness.

She hurriedly cut a few slices of lemon and the man put the glass of water by her hand.

She put two slices of lemon and hesitated for a while, “Are two slices enough?”

The man hummed coldly and took the glass and sat at the dining table.

The tense jaw showed that he was not in a good mood at this time but he still said, “Thank you.”

The elevator opened and Song Yan and Lu Xiao walked out. They were laughing and joking but were stunned when they saw the man beside the dining table, Song Yan came forward to introduce them to each other.

“Mo Shen, this is the Lin Miaomiao I told you on WeChat and she is also my junior.”

Lu Xiao also came over, “She is a sophomore and is my senior sister.”

“Miaomiao, Qin Mo Shen.” Song Yan hesitated, not knowing how to make Lin Miaomiao address him.

Lu Xiao smiled, “Just call him Brother Shen like I do.”

Lin Miaomiao rubbed her hands and looked at the man who exuded a feeling of coldness all over his body, “Brother Shen.”

Qin Mo nodded but he did not say anything, he filled a bowl of oxtail soup by himself and took a sip without any change in his expression.

“It tastes good.” He put down the bowl and said lightly.

“Miaomiao jiejie, sit down, I’ll serve the meal.” Lu Xiao pushed her who was wearing an apron onto the chair.

Lin Miaomiao was facing Qin Moshen and his powerful aura made her feel a little nervous.

Fortunately, Lu Xiao came back soon and sat beside her and started chatting with her dispelling the awkwardness and unease.

Song Yan packed the food on a tray and filled a bowl of soup and walked into the elevator.

Lu Xiao leaned closer to her ear, “There’s a weirdo living on the second floor who doesn’t like coming down to eat.”

Weirdo? Her eyes swept across Qin Moshen’s hand opposite her and his fingers were also very slender.

Who was the guy that played the piano?

Lu Xiao picked up a piece of sweet and sour steak and tasted it before showing admiration for it.

“Sister, your ribs are so well done, fragrant but not greasy, can you teach me next time?”

Lin Miaomiao smiled, “Okay.”

Qin Mo from the opposite side gave him a cold look “Lu Xiao, please don’t burn my kitchen again.”

Lin Miaomiao’s hand paused not daring to answer to his words.

Lu Xiao smiled embarrassedly, “Last time was an accident and it won’t happen again.”

Lin Miaomiao comforted him softly, “With me watching you, it won’t burn.”

Lu Xiao smiled so much that his eyes were bent, “Sister Miaomiao, you are so kind.”

Lin Miaomiao did not know how to answer so she lowered her head and concentrate on eating.

Out of the corner of her eyes, she sensed the sharp gaze from the opposite side from time to time and she felt a little like sitting on pins and needles.

Sure enough, money was not easy to earn.

Come on, little cook.

T/N: Bear with me for the cooking parts.
