"Hey, Qi!" Kate was very happy, but she felt that her boyfriend seemed a bit lacking, "You should learn from King and Dongfeng. They come to pick me up as soon as they see me park. But you're not like that; you don't seem as considerate as these younger brothers."
"I'm making breakfast. I've been trying my best since I knew you would come over to have breakfast with me," Qi said with a smile, turning to Kate. Although they had just started dating, their relationship was developing steadily, "A special breakfast, I hope you'll like it. Some Chinese dishes, and I've also considered your taste, maybe we can have some nice American breakfast items."
"Alright, I know I need to pitch in. Actually, my cooking skills are pretty good, just that I can't try anything too complicated." Kate smiled and walked into the kitchen. Seeing King peeking and lying at the kitchen door, Kate found it really funny, "Can't you lift the ban on him yet? He looks like he really wants to help."
Qi glanced back at King. Although this guy looked pitiful and serious, Qi would never be deceived by this facade. Clearly, King had grown a lot, and although he seemed to be getting more sensible, he was still the mischievous and naughty kid.
Winnie trotted in, this chubby little guy was very endearing. Even though she had only known Kate for a short time, it didn't matter; Winnie knew that Kate was good to him. So this affectionate little guy started hugging Kate's legs, which was his best trick for being cute.
"It looks like he's mad at me. I shouldn't have left so early yesterday; he still wanted to play with me." Seeing Winnie's adorable pouting, Kate felt very happy. She cut a piece of tomato and fed it to Winnie. Watching this cute little guy hug the tomato and start eating it, Kate knew that Winnie had forgiven her.
The two of them happily made breakfast together. For Qi and Kate, this breakfast time was indeed very warm and cozy. They didn't need grand promises or too many surprises; a warm and simple life was also very nice, and both Qi and Kate liked this way of being together.
"Qi, do you know Chinese kung fu?" Kate sat in front of the door, holding Winnie and basking in the sun. She watched Qi practicing his punches, feeling very surprised. She had heard Qi talk about it before, but this was the first time she saw him practicing in the morning, which made Kate feel quite amazed.
"I know some, enough to keep fit and protect you. I believe I can easily take down those muscle guys, even if they look very strong. I'm just starting to get into these amazing kung fu moves. Look at my muscles, they're enough to make people envious!" Qi proudly took off his shirt. His muscles weren't huge, but they were well-proportioned and strong, which was very attractive.
Kate was indeed quite amazed. She had always thought Qi's physique was good, but she never expected his muscles to look even better than those of professional athletes. This might be because of the "beauty is in the eye of the beholder," but Qi's muscles were indeed very attractive.
Qi made funny poses to show off his muscles, which made Kate find it very amusing and entertaining. For Qi and Kate, such a beautiful morning was indeed very pleasant, and it was just the beginning.
Their date was just at the forest farm. They stayed at home, watched movies, played games, and made delicious lunches together. They also took care of the vegetable garden and the flower garden together, which was exactly what they enjoyed on weekends.
"Black Coal is very smart, but it seems to have a bit of a temper. I can't get close to it; it hasn't accepted me yet." Kate was a bit disappointed. She had already gained the trust of the little guys, but Black Coal, the smart little horse, only accepted Qi, "I know, only Winnie truly accepts my presence. It looks like I need to keep working on it."
"You're right, it takes time to gain their absolute trust. It took me a long time to build a relationship with them, and now we get along very well," Qi knew that Kate was just on good terms with the little guys. To say that Kate had gained their absolute trust was not quite accurate.
The simplest truth was that these little guys could play happily with Kate, but they would never follow her away. Especially King, who had been to Kate's house several times, but once Qi wasn't around, King would definitely cause a fuss, wanting to go home and be with Qi.
This was Qi's pride. It required mutual effort and dedication to build a deep bond and absolute trust. The little guys had become Qi's little followers, thoroughly his little brothers. Although they were sometimes very naughty, Qi knew they were part of the family, and he would take good care of these rascals.
Seeing King sitting grandly at the dining table, and Dongfeng, Nanbei, and Winnie all enjoying their lunch, Qi and Kate found it very amusing and cute. They were indeed some very entertaining and delightful little guys.
"Our plan for the afternoon is to go see our little lake. I've named it Muse Lake. I'll design it as our estate, and our mansion will be there. Although I don't have the means to fully develop it now, I believe we will gradually build our estate," Qi said about their afternoon plans.
"We need to come back a bit earlier. Joshua has been wanting to come over, and he's been nagging since last night. I promised him, but only in the evening," Kate said with a smile. Having a boyfriend didn't mean forgetting her brother; sometimes, Joshua was being "excluded."
"No problem, we'll prepare some grilled meat. The theme of our dinner will be a barbecue party. Thanks to the grass I planted earlier, it's slowly growing. I believe it will get better, maybe by next year," Qi was very hopeful, looking forward to a beautiful environment. Even if they would eventually settle by the lake, they needed to enjoy the scenery now.
The two of them started preparing to go out. Although Dongfeng, Nanbei, and the others didn't want to follow, they wanted to race with Black Coal. But the little tails, King and Winnie, were trying hard to climb into the car. Even the usually aloof Liangshanbo and Zhu Yingtai were now more proactive, finding it more interesting to play outside.
Qi's biggest regret was that the road to the lake wasn't very good. The area was still in a state of complete desolation. Developing it would require a significant investment and time, but Qi was confident. He knew he could earn money quickly.
"I already know your capabilities; you're a very good person to live with!" Kate found it amusing because Qi drove through the forest farm quite recklessly. Going to the house at the foot of the mountain was fine, as there was a dirt road. But now there was no road, so Qi naturally drove recklessly. "Joshua often says you need a sports car or a more youthful and energetic car, but I know that only an SUV can last long in your hands."
"The key is comfort and safety, and it has a high ground clearance. If it were a sports car, our car would have been useless long ago!" As if to confirm Qi's words, the car jolted, having hit a rock. An SUV was indeed better, suitable for the undeveloped forest farm.
The two of them were in very high spirits. This weekend might be simple, but it was very meaningful, a weekend that belonged to Qi and Kate.
