Chapter 34

"Didn't I say it before? This is a frame-up! Jameson should apologize to Spider-Man!" Flash put away his phone and began to complain loudly. It was funny, Peter and Flash had been classmates for years, and he never knew that Flash was also a loyal fan of Spider-Man.

However, it didn't seem like the right time to dwell on this issue.

"What do you think, Parker?"

Felicia turned her head, after all, Peter had a part-time job at the Daily Bugle, and he should have the most authority to speak.

"Peter Parker? Where did he go?" In the blink of an eye, Peter had already disappeared from the entrance of New York University. Felicia and Flash exchanged glances, their faces showing an unusually strange expression, not knowing what to say.

"Good heavens, I can't believe it, is today a super-criminal carnival? And it just happens when my spider powers are acting up. My luck is really bad!" As soon as Peter was out of sight, he took off his clothes and put on Spider-Man's suit.

Ymir hurriedly followed behind him, but he was dumbfounded to see this Spider-Man, dressed in a red and blue tight-fitting suit, shoot webs from his wrists and swing out like a nimble spider.

"Damn, Tarzan?" This left Ymir speechless; he had never thought about how to catch up with this unconventional superhero.

Although Ymir's ghostly form had many abilities after his resurrection, none of them increased his speed.

Among superheroes, Spider-Man wasn't known for his speed. If he encountered someone like Quicksilver with superhuman movement speed, Ymir would have to give up.

The only advantage was that, after becoming a ghostly form, Ymir was no longer constrained by his physical strength.

Anyone who has watched track and field events knows that long-distance runners and sprinters focus on completely different aspects. While both pursue speed, long-distance runners need more endurance, while sprinters focus on explosive power.

Ymir didn't have to worry about physical exhaustion; he just needed to run at full speed, chasing the Spider-Man who was swinging between skyscrapers.

Without knowing how far he needed to track or where the destination was, no superhero would dare to burst into their top speed right from the start, even Quicksilver wouldn't.

But Ymir didn't have to worry about that. If he wanted to, he could maintain his maximum speed indefinitely. This was something other heroes couldn't do, even Quicksilver, whose speed was limited by his physical condition.

Gritting his teeth, Ymir was determined to keep up with Spider-Man, even if it meant pushing himself to the limit.

Another point worth mentioning is that although Ymir's running speed wasn't as fast as Spider-Man's, who could swing between buildings using his webs, Ymir didn't have to consider the route or terrain. He just needed to charge straight ahead.

After transforming into a ghostly form, Ymir's body became intangible. Whether it was a road or a mall, cars or pedestrians, Ymir could just charge through without being stopped.

Thanks to this ability to pass through walls and people, Ymir managed to keep up with Spider-Man, each having their own advantages and not falling too far behind.

"I really wish I were chatting with a pretty girl right now, like Felicia, or Mary Jane Watson would be nice too..."

Spider-Man didn't know that a pitiful ghost was running behind him. As he swung through the air, he had the leisure to daydream. Peter both loved and hated his superpowers.

He loved that he could use his abilities to fight against the strong and protect the weak, defending those who couldn't defend themselves.

"What am I thinking? How could any girl want to be with someone who always climbs walls or crawls through sewers?" What Spider-Man hated most was that something always happened when he was on a date with a girl.

Either a super-criminal would appear, or...

"Hey!" Peter, who was climbing the glass exterior of a building using his spider powers, lost his grip on the wall for a moment. Fortunately, he managed to grab a protruding ledge as he fell: "I didn't catch it? What's going on? My spider powers are acting up again!"

"I caught it." After finally climbing onto the windowsill, Peter tried to stick to the wall again, and strangely, his powers returned.

"What's he up to?" Ymir, who had finally caught up with Spider-Man, was worried as he saw him free-fall from a great height.

Not only did Ymir want to know what was happening to Spider-Man, but Spider-Man himself was also confused: "What's going on?"

"Maybe it was just a minor malfunction?" With Doctor Octopus, Rhino, and other super-criminals on his mind, Spider-Man didn't have time to investigate what was wrong with his powers. He flipped and leaped back onto the wall.

As Spider-Man had anticipated, it was just a minor issue. He quickly approached the street where the super-criminals were wreaking havoc. It was like a battlefield, with Rhino's immense strength flipping over cars on the street.

These overturned vehicles blocked the progress of the armored cash truck. Rhino ran up, stretched out his arms, and with a single effort, tore open the reinforced cargo compartment of the truck as if it were a piece of paper.

The sight of the large amount of cash inside made Rhino's eyes almost dazzled. Neatly stacked in front of him were bundles of U.S. dollar bills, fresh with the scent of ink.

"Wait, Rhino, you forgot to enter the PIN!" Just as Rhino was reveling in his success, a讨厌的声音从他背后响起。
