Chapter 92

Jihwan insisted on staying the night at Eunseo’s new place, but Eunseo firmly asked him to leave. When she signed the lease, her landlord asked her about having a boyfriend probably because she was worried about having men over in this place. So there was no way Eunseo would let Jihwan stay the night.

Jihwan seemed very disappointed. “But I let you stay in my place, Miss Kang, so you’re not being fair!”

“But this isn’t my house, Mr. Kwon. I promised the landlord that I would live alone, so what would she think if she learned that I let a man stay over? She would obviously be upset,” Eunseo insisted.

“I doubt she’ll care.”

“How do you know that, Mr. Kwon?”

Jihwan had no answer, so in the end, he went home. But the very next morning, he returned with large bags of groceries.

Eunseo asked, “What are those?”

“It’s New Year’s Day, so you need to get some rice cake soup, don’t you? It’s tradition.”

Eunseo couldn’t send him away again, so they ended up eating rice cake soup together that morning. Jihwan made the dish himself, and the soup was basically half beef and half rice cake. It was supposed to be soup, but it was more like a stew. It seemed that Jihwan just wanted to feed Eunseo meat. While they ate together, Jihwan scooped meat from his own bowl to put it in Eunseo’s bowl.

Jihwan said quietly, “You need to eat up. And a happy new year, Miss Kang. I hope this year is full of luck for you.”

“You too, Mr. Kwon.”

For some reason, Jihwan looked disappointed. He whispered, “Well, I want something more than luck.”

“What would you like?” asked Eunseo.

“It’s a secret.”

Eunseo was surprised at Jihwan’s comment. Kwon Jihwan was rich and powerful, which meant he could have anything he wanted in the world. Even the giant company Korean Constructions was going to belong to him someday, so what could it be that he couldn’t have?

Now that Eunseo thought about it, she remembered Jihwan closing his eyes and wishing for something.

Eunseo asked, “Mr. Kwon, what did you wish for on Christmas?”

Jihwan glanced at her. “If I tell you, would you make it come true?”

“Of course, if it’s something I can give you.”

Even though Eunseo promised, Jihwan shook his head. “No, it’s okay. I know you won’t give it to me.”

Eunseo became very curious. Jihwan was the man she was in love with, so she really wanted to know what he wished for.

Eunseo begged, “Please tell me! I want to know.”

“Let’s just finish our meal.”

“But I really want to know, Mr. Kwon. I mean, who knows? Maybe it’s something I can give you easily.”

When Eunseo begged a few times, Jihwan gestured for her to come closer. She leaned toward him, and he whispered, “…I made a wish that I want to do it on your breast, Miss Kang.”

Eunseo couldn’t understand what Jihwan was saying, so she blinked in confusion. He pointed at Eunseo’s cleavage and explained, “I want to put it between your breasts and do it.”

When Eunseo realized what he was asking, she gasped. Her eyes widened in shock and stared at him.

The Christmas she spent with Jihwan was the most romantic time she had ever had. They had their first kiss and she made a nice wish, yet it turned out that this man was secretly making such an erotic wish.

“I’m just kidding.” Suddenly, Jihwan burst into laughter. “I was just trying to make you laugh, so I’m hurt. You’re looking at me like I’m the worst man in the world.”

Eunseo glared at him and muttered, “That wasn’t funny at all.”

Jihwan stopped laughing and shrugged. “Well, the truth is, I do want to do it. But I didn’t make a wish like that on Christmas. I’m not that terrible.”

Eunseo became curious again. “So what wish did you make?”

Jihwan closed his lips tightly and shook his head. The more he refused, Eunseo became even more curious. Just what was it that he wished for? Why wouldn’t he tell her?

“If you tell me, I’ll do one thing for you. So please tell me, Mr. Kwon.” Eunseo begged.

Eunseo was even willing to do what Jihwan mentioned earlier, yet he continued to refuse. He replied, “It’s a secret.”

Meanwhile in the chairman’s house.

Several people were gathered in the living room enjoying their tea. There were Chairman Kwon of the Korean Constructions, his daughter-in-law who was Jihwan’s mother, his granddaughter Jiye, and his great-granddaughter Lee Seohyun.

The whole family was having a nice tea time on New Year’s Day.

Chairman Kwon was holding his great-granddaughter looking down at her adoringly. Then suddenly, he looked at the clock and frowned. He muttered, “Why isn’t Jihwan here yet? I told him to come even if it was after breakfast, yet he hasn’t arrived yet. That rude boy.”
