Hong Yeri raised her eyebrows at Eunseo and asked, “Oh my, Miss Kang, you are being awfully generous. You must’ve gotten a big bonus. Maybe a couple of thousands of dollars?”

Eunseo gave her a vague smile and changed the subject. “Why don’t we go tonight? How about steak for everyone?”

Heesun tried to help Eunseo and stop the designers. “What are you talking about? You guys shouldn’t put Eunseo in the spot like that. This isn’t fair for her.”

But it was useless. Everyone became excited. The designers all exclaimed.

“Let’s go to a wine bar afterward.”

“And an expensive dessert place too!”

In the end, they all headed to a fancy steak place afterward. The team members seemed like they were dying to spend Eunseo’s money.

“Miss Kang, since you got a big bonus, we can order anything we want, right?”

They began ordering the most expensive dishes, and Eunseo became worried about the cost. Although the chairman gave her 100,000 dollars, she had no intention of cashing it. This means that Eunseo would have to pay for tonight’s meal all on her own.

Just then, one of the male designers said to Eunseo, “By the way, Miss Kang, it looks like you’ve been doing very well lately.”

“It’s all thanks to all the senior designers helping me.” When Eunseo replied, the male designer muttered, “No, that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s about you meeting a rich man.”

He said this quietly, but Eunseo heard it very clearly. She asked, “What are you talking about?”

“Oh, come on. Why are you getting all serious? I was just talking, that’s all.”

The male designer tried to laugh it off, but Eunseo couldn’t let it go. This might have been the reason why all the other designers were upset with her, so Eunseo asked, “Please explain to me what you meant!”

Because Eunseo was feeling a little drunk, she ended up raising her voice. Suddenly, the whole table became very quiet. Everyone stopped and stared at her.

Eunseo decided that this was something she needed to get over with. She looked straight into the male designer’s eyes and asked, “What do you mean by me dating a rich man?”

Eunseo was actually asking this question to everyone at the table, but no one answered her. They were all staring at her quietly when someone finally opened her lips.

It was Hong Yeri.

“We’re talking about President Kwon Jihwan.” Hong Yeri swirled her cup and asked, “Are you going to deny it?”

Hong Yeri pointed at Eunseo’s coat and bag and continued, “That coat and that bag. I saw President Kwon Jihwan buying them in the department store. So are you going to deny the fact that you got them from him?”

So there was really a rumor about Eunseo and Jihwan. Eunseo felt her palms getting sweaty. She guessed that this was possible, but it still felt terrible to be confronted like this in front of everyone in her work.

The other senior designers chimed in.

“Miss Kang, we’re only saying this for your sake. You should stop now. You have no chance of getting President Kwon to marry you. He’s just using you. He’s the heir to the Korean Constructions, so he can never be serious about you.”

It seemed that Heesun had no idea there was such a rumor. She stammered, “President Kwon? What are you guys talking about?”

It seemed that because Heesun was close to Eunseo, the other co-workers didn’t tell her about the rumor.

Eunseo wondered what everyone must think of me. She wished she could deny it, but she couldn’t. After all, it’s true that Eunseo and Jihwan had been doing naughty things for a long time now.
