29 Yang Chen greeted some enthusiastic new colleagues while slowly walking to his seat. Just as he sat down, a few more uniformed women with outstanding appearances gathered around him, each staring at him with a predatory gaze.
"Handsome, let's get acquainted. My name is Zhao Hongyan." This was a woman in a beige suit, with a pair of phoenix eyes that were particularly alluring. She extended her white, warm hand and introduced herself.
"Hongyan, you’re scaring the new colleague on his first day," another woman, wearing a light blue suit and with a round face and a fuller figure, giggled. "You’re called Yang Chen, right? In our PR department, the one you need to be most careful about is the Hongyan in front of you. She’s a man-eater!"
Zhao Hongyan didn’t blush, but let out a coquettish hum and pinched the plump woman’s firm buttocks, "Zhang Cai, don’t be silly. Everyone knows you have the highest demands, the one who can’t sleep without a man at night."
"Hmph, that’s not true. Hongyan, look, our Mingyu hasn’t married yet. No matter how much we try, we can’t compete with her!"
Following Zhang Cai’s gaze, Yang Chen looked at the last woman who had been silent. She was a tall woman in a pink suit, with shoulder-length hair dyed with a few strands of purple, and her delicate features exuded a unique charm.
Liu Mingyu smiled sweetly, "Why are you all fighting? I’m just welcoming the new colleague. I’m not as dirty-minded as you all." She extended her slender hand, "Little brother Yang Chen, do you mind shaking hands?"
"Oh, of course not." Yang Chen naturally didn’t mind such intimate contact. If he could pinch Zhang Cai’s plump buttocks like Zhao Hongyan, it would be even better.
As soon as he touched Liu Mingyu’s delicate hand, he felt her playful little pinky finger gently tickling his palm. Looking up, he saw Liu Mingyu winking at him playfully.
Such a simple flirtatious gesture made Yang Chen feel a bit lightheaded. No wonder so many men were vying to join Yulei International. The average quality of the women here was so high, and more importantly, they were incredibly “enthusiastic”!
Following the welcome from the three women, many other female employees in the office came up, smiling and saying welcoming words to Yang Chen, of course, not without some risqué jokes.
It wasn’t until several minutes later that Yang Chen saw a male colleague among the surrounding colleagues. He was a man in a white shirt, with a rather short and small build, a clean and youthful appearance, and a slightly shy look on his delicate face.
Seeing the only male colleague not coming forward to greet him but instead looking hesitant, Yang Chen found it amusing. How could a man be more reserved than these women? So, he took the initiative to extend his hand, "I’m Yang Chen. It seems you’re the only male colleague in this office. Let’s get along well."
The delicate man immediately shook Yang Chen’s hand lightly, his face turning slightly red. He lowered his head and said softly, "I... I’m Chen Bo. Welcome to our department."
Chen Bo? Morning erection? What a name! But looking at him, he didn’t seem to have any morning erections!
Yang Chen couldn’t help but laugh, "Your name is quite interesting, very manly."
Chen Bo, upon hearing this, blushed even more and lowered his head even further, whispering, "Thank you."
Indeed, he was blushing, a man named “Morning Erection” blushing like a woman!
Several female colleagues gathered around, and the plump woman named Zhang Cai giggled, "Yang Chen, you don’t know. Our little Bo is a top student from Peking University. Before you came, he was the only one in our PR department."
"Now it’s good. With Brother Yang here, our office is finally more balanced in yin and yang." A younger female PR officer already called Yang Chen “Brother.”
Yang Chen chatted with the women for a while, then returned to his seat to start organizing the various documents and office supplies on his desk.
The desk closest to Yang Chen’s was where Zhao Hongyan, who had been the first to greet him, sat. She asked with a smile, "Handsome, do you need any help? If you have any questions, just say so."
Yang Chen thought for a moment and asked, "Why is Chen Bo so shy? Can he really do PR? PR involves interacting with clients and negotiating business, right? Can he handle it?"
Zhao Hongyan was taken aback, not expecting Yang Chen to ask this. She covered her mouth and whispered, "Chen Bo is said to have come in through connections. Everyone sees him as a shy kid, so they give him some clerical work. He’s usually not involved in business negotiations."
Yang Chen nodded, that made sense.
Suddenly, he thought of something and chuckled, "Actually, I’m not very good at talking or negotiating business. I think it would be better if you gave me some odd jobs, like making coffee, serving tea, and fetching water. I’m good at physical labor. What do you think?"
Zhao Hongyan was taken aback and couldn’t help but giggle, her plump chest trembling. "Big Handsome, you’re really joking. I heard you’re a top student from Harvard. There are very few people in our company with that level of education. Who would believe you want to be a lowly errand boy?"
"I’m serious, don’t disbelieve me." Yang Chen frowned in distress. Why was it so hard to tell the truth these days?
Seeing Yang Chen’s earnest expression, Zhao Hongyan had no choice but to wave her hand, "Alright, alright, I believe you. Since you’re still on probation, you don’t have much work to do anyway. I’ll tell the girls that you’ll be responsible for buying breakfast, making coffee, and moving things around. We used to take turns doing these tasks, but now you can do them all. How does that sound?"
"Really?" Yang Chen was delighted. Buying breakfast, making coffee, and moving things—what a perfect job for him!
Seeing Yang Chen’s excited face, Zhao Hongyan, who had been joking, didn’t know how to continue. She muttered, "What a strange person," and then nodded.
"Great, it’s settled then. Remember to tell everyone. I’ll buy breakfast for you all tomorrow, and I’ll cover the expenses," Yang Chen said contentedly, turning back to continue organizing his desk, ignoring Zhao Hongyan’s stunned expression.
Five minutes later, when Zhao Hongyan looked at Yang Chen again, she was dumbfounded...
She saw that Yang Chen had already put all the documents on his desk into a box under the table, leaving only a computer. On the computer screen, a familiar game—Pokémon version of Match Three—was running.
This guy! He really planned to be a lowly errand boy and play games on his first day of work! Zhao Hongyan felt a bit dizzy.
At that moment, a woman in a tight black suit, white lace stockings, and a plain, stern face suddenly walked into the PR department office and asked calmly, "Is the newly hired Yang Chen here?"
Seeing this woman, many of the employees present showed surprised expressions and then looked at Yang Chen with strange glances.
Yang Chen reluctantly closed the half-finished game and looked up, "I’m here. What’s up, ma’am?"
"Ma’am!?" The female employees present almost burst out laughing.
Sure enough, the woman in black frowned and said in a harsher tone, "I’m the president’s secretary and assistant, Wu Yue. The president wants to see you. Follow me now."
The president? Why does the president want to see me on my first day? Yang Chen stood up, puzzled, but followed Wu Yue’s flat back out of the office without asking more.
As soon as Yang Chen left, the entire PR department office erupted in excitement, clearly thinking this was a big deal. In the minister’s office, Mo Qianyi, seeing the scene outside, also showed a puzzled expression.
