Chapter 24: Five zeros！

Peng Ci turned back and saw that An Xingzhou was currently staring at his bank cards. First, it obediently ran far away and then forcefully jumped onto the wall, borrowing the force to close the door. Then it clung onto An Xingzhou’s pants and crawled upwards, little by little.

Its little limbs clung firmly onto An Xingzhou’s pants, but it didn’t dare to stick out its claws, so it could only climb up with its clawless paws.

“Wife!” Peng Ci slid down several times and immediately got unhappy after seeing that An Xingzhou still hadn’t reached out to hug him. It patted An Xingzhou’s legs in fury. “Wife! Hug me!”

“Sigh…” An Xingzhou only snapped out of it then and picked Peng Ci up, placing it on his shoulder. He walked towards the living room while asking, “You really have credit cards? You didn’t pick it up by the road, did you?”

“These are my own cawhds, but now they’re Wife’s!” Peng Ci affectionately rubbed against An Xingzhou, and its nose twitched. It noticed that An Xingzhou smelled a little like Cheshire kitty, probably from when he was paying the money.

Peng Ci caught An Xingzhou’s neck, rubbing all over bit by bit with its chin and making An Xingzhou crazily shrink his neck from the rubbing.

An Xingzhou sat on the sofa, and Peng Ci instantly jumped off of his shoulder, hugging his wrist and licking his fingers. Then it used its chin to rub against An Xingzhou’s joints.

An Xingzhou scratched under Peng Ci’s chin with his fingers, retracting them only after Peng Ci had melted in his arms with its eyes half closed and its legs kicking. He placed the bank cards and the phone on Peng Ci’s fluffy belly. “Take good care of your own things. Don’t lose them.”

“Hm?” Peng Ci’s twitched, and it flipped over, the bank cards and phone falling onto An Xingzhou’s thighs.

Peng Ci picked the cards up with its mouth and stuffed them into An Xingzhou’s hands, saying muffledly, “Dere all Wife’s! I dave them all to Wife!”

Peng Ci threw the cards and then picked up the phone with its mouth. “I hab money in my Alipay 1 too! I’m giving dem all to Wife!”

It said six numbers and patted An Xingzhou’s thigh. “That’s the passwurd for all of them! Wife, wemember it! There’s tons and tons of money, so don’t let anyone else know!”

An Xingzhou reached out, covered Peng Ci’s head, and wheezed in amusement. He asked teasingly, “Tons and tons of money?”

Peng Ci thought that its Wife’s amused tone sounded really nice and lost itself in his gentle charms, rolling around in An Xingzhou’s arms with its tail raised. “Tons! I’m giving it all to Wife! They’re all betrothal gifts!”

“My betrothal gifts have to be very expensive. Can you really afford it?” An Xingzhou played around with rubbing Peng Ci’s bank cards against each other, guessing that, even though there were several cards, there was probably only around ten yuan in each or, at most, just one hundred. So he just teased Peng Ci, “If the betrothal gifts aren’t enough, I won’t marry you.”

Peng Ci acted all rich, unbelievably smug about having tons of money and looking completely unconcerned about not having money in his card. But as soon as An Xingzhou said that, it got a little nervous.

Its ears shoot up with a swoosh, asking warily, “Then how much in betrothal gifts does Wife want to marry me?”

‘Dad said before that I can be wronged, but I definitely can’t wrong my Wife! If Wife thinks there isn’t enough money, then I’ll have to work and make money!’

Peng Ci’s eyes blazed with fiery flames. ‘I can be a dishwasher bunny! A sweeper bunny! I heard Bunny Bun Cafe has a pretty high hourly wage…’

Peng Ci was a little hesitant, but after seeing An Xingzhou, who was still smiling, it immediately convinced itself. ‘It’s okay! It’s just getting rubbed and touched by other people! I can do it for Wife! I can even work hard to become the best employee! That way, I’ll make even more money!’

An Xingzhou didn’t know that Peng Ci was prepared to sell its body to make up the betrothal gift money. He rubbed Peng Ci’s soft ears and said casually, “At least several tens of thousands of yuan. How many zeros are you missing?”

“How many zeros are several tens of thousands of yuan?” Peng Ci was confused for a moment before it started counting on An Xingzhou’s fingers again. “Let me count if I have enough zeros in my cawds!”

“Probably four zeros. Count how many zeros you have first.” An Xingzhou watched as Peng Ci threw itself into counting on his fingers with difficulty. The back of its round head was extremely cute, making him unable to resist lifting and moving his fingers.

Peng Ci was suddenly interrupted mid-counting, and it immediately jumped up to press An Xingzhou’s fingers down. “Wife, don’t move! I have to recount all over again!”

“Sorry.” An Xingzhou poked Peng Ci with his other hand. “Then recount.”

“Mhm. Then I’ll recount. Wife, wait a bit!” Peng Ci pressed An Xingzhou’s thumb, patting it with its paws, and mumbled as it started counting.

An Xingzhou’s fingers moved again, pulling his ring finger out from under Peng Ci’s paws.

“Wife!” Peng Ci turned and huffed at An Xingzhou. “Don’t move!”

“Ah, my finger’s itchy.” An Xingzhou pretended to scratch his finger and then pushed it back under Peng Ci’s paws, saying, “Here. You can continue.”

Peng Ci spread its paws and licked An Xingzhou’s ring finger, not worrying about the counting anymore. Its first response was asking An Xingzhou, “Why is it itchy? Ci Ci will lick it for Wife. Is it still itchy?”

It got even itcher.

The little bunny’s tongue was small and soft, so when Peng Ci licked his finger, it felt wet and hot.

An Xingzhou felt a little uneasy from the licking and retracted his finger to rub it on Peng Ci’s fur. “It’s not itchy anymore. Count again.”

“Okie!” Peng Ci hopped back to An Xingzhou’s hand, diligently counting again.

At first, An Xingzhou was going to stop teasing it and let Peng Ci finish counting, but he couldn’t resist his playfulness after hearing Peng Ci counting seriously with its childish voice. His fingers started getting restless.

But this time, he hadn’t yet pulled his finger out when Peng Ci plopped down.

Peng Ci stopped counting and sat on An Xingzhou’s palm, staring at An Xingzhou in an extremely resentful manner. It complained, “I get it! Wife did it on purpose!”

An Xingzhou curved his finger and scratched Peng Ci’s butt. “You only just realized?”

Peng Ci’s butt twitched, and it started sulking with its back turned to An Xingzhou. “Wife is a meanie!”

Amused, An Xingzhou poked Peng Ci. Peng Ci’s body quivered, but it didn’t turn its head. An Xingzhou poked it again, and Peng Ci “hmphed” very loudly.

“Sigh. Why are you throwing a tantrum on my hand?” An Xingzhou slightly tugged his hand, which was under Peng Ci’s butt, and Peng Ci immediately laid down to cling onto An Xingzhou’s hand desperately, not letting him tug it out. Even so, it still ignored An Xingzhou.

An Xingzhou rubbed Peng Ci a few times while smiling before saying, “Okay, I’ll help you check how many zeros you have, okay?”

“?” Peng Ci turned its head to gaze at An Xingzhou in suspicion. It shook its tail and whispered, “Really?”

“Really. I saw that you have online banking on your phone.” An Xingzhou pulled Peng Ci back into his embrace and put the phone in front of them. “Look. It’s these apps. Don’t you know how to use them?”

“No!” Peng Ci said, “I think Mommy downloaded them for me!”

“Then I’ll teach you, and then you’ll be able to check yourself in the future and not have to count on your fingers.” An Xingzhou casually clicked a banking app, entered the password Peng Ci recited, and then pressed “Remaining balance”. The security plugins loaded for a few seconds before a series of numbers gradually appeared before An Xingzhou’s eyes.

An Xingzhou: “…….”

An Xingzhou looked at the series of zeros in the remaining balance and immediately fell into uncertainty about life.

Peng Ci squatted in An Xingzhou’s arms and counted the zeros, after which it shouted happily, “Wife! I have five zeros! One more than what you wanted!”

It hopped while yelling, “Let’s see how many zeros are in the other cards!”
