An Xingzhou got a little document bag to store the bank cards for Peng Ci and specifically placed it in the bottommost drawer that Peng Ci could reach as well. He hugged Peng Ci and waved its little pawsies, saying, “Your cards are here. When you want to use it, get it yourself or have me get it for you. Remember the place.”
Peng Ci nodded its head obediently, its long ears swinging, and emphasized again, “This is Wife’s money now. I’ll only use it if Wife lets me!”
Peng Ci had said this a hundred times to An Xingzhou. He had tried to correct it but hadn’t succeeded, so he could only go along with it, saying, “Yeah, yeah. You can use it. Use it however you want.”
‘After all, it’s not my money.’ An Xingzhou thought.
Peng Ci’s phone was still in An Xingzhou’s pocket, but he didn’t know where he should put it. Suddenly remembering the little baggie Cheshire Kitty carried on its back, he had a flash of inspiration. He gauged the phone’s weight before resolutely buying a little baggie online for Peng Ci as well. When the time came, he could just have Peng Ci carry it on its back.
On the second morning, the computer An Xingzhou bought specifically for Peng Ci was delivered.
An Xingzhou had checked the one-time logistics just yesterday, but he’d been interrupted by Cheshire Kitty bringing the money and got shocked by Peng Ci’s huge sum of money, completely forgetting that he’d bought a computer.
He thanked the delivery man, but his expression and mind were all blank as he walked into the living room with the computer.
If he had known earlier, he wouldn’t have been so fast with his movements! An Xingzhou thought in distress, ‘I could’ve just used Peng Ci’s money to buy that 49,999 yuan computer! Why did I spend so much time choosing and end up using my own money!’
He should’ve just shopped with the prices in descending order on Peng Ci’s phone!
He wanted to try living the life of a nouveau riche too… It was probably amazing…
An Xingzhou’s eyes started going a little blank just imagining it.
In his mind, Peng Ci was no longer that pitiful little bunny that got wet from the rain, but a rich big shot with a crown on its head and a cane in its paws!
As for him, he was standing right under the big shot’s throne, waiting for it to throw around money like it was dirt.
But in reality, the nouveau riche bunny bun was sprawled on his pillow, dead asleep. Though it had money, it was still living off of him.
Peng Ci wasn’t willing to use its own money. Since it had given the money to An Xingzhou, then it couldn’t take the money back, and it wasn’t as if An Xingzhou could really use a little bunny’s money. So no matter how large of a sum there was, it was simply a series of numbers that he could look at but not use.
Reality was really cruel. In sight, but unreachable.
An Xingzhou knocked on his head, dragging himself forcibly out of his fantasies. He started setting up the computer with a fritter in his mouth and downloaded the game.
After eating breakfast, he cleared out an area in the study, pulling out a bed table and a small bench. He gauged where Peng Ci would sit before placing the computer on the table and connecting the small external keyboard and mouse.
The seller had even included some stickers. An Xingzhou looked at the stickers before choosing to stick a few bunny stickers on the keyboard and mouse.
After setting everything up, An Xingzhou took a few steps back, looked at the two desks, one big and one small, and suddenly thought that he really was raising a son.
Didn’t this feel just like a father and son pair playing games together happily from the looks of it?
Right at that moment, Peng Ci woke up. After washing its face carefully on An Xingzhou’s pillow, it jumped off the bed and followed An Xingzhou’s scent like a little puppy with its nose twitching. It rushed towards the study with small steps and then suddenly bumped into An Xingzhou’s foot.
“Wife! Good morning!” Peng Ci climbed up along An Xingzhou’s pant leg. When An Xingzhou picked it up, Peng Ci licked An Xingzhou’s chin and fixed its eyes on the new desk, chair, and computer nearby after turning its head.
"
"
“What are you looking at?” An Xingzhou rubbed Peng Ci, amused by its dazed appearance. He put Peng Ci on the bench, which was covered with a blanket. “I bought a computer for you. It’s not the 49,999 yuan one. You’re not allowed to complain about it being cheap.”
Peng Ci sat on the little bench in a daze, looked at An Xingzhou, and then looked at the computer in front of itself. With a forceful hop, it jumped onto the desk, carefully reached out to press the little keyboard used exclusively by children, and then pushed the little mouse nearby.
Peng Ci glanced at the big keyboard An Xingzhou used and then at the pink little keyboard at its feet, noticing that An Xingzhou had stuck cute little stickers on the empty spaces. It was clear that An Xingzhou prepared it specifically for Peng Ci.
Wife had clearly scolded it for buying a computer, but he bought one for it immediately afterwards and even considerately got these little external accessories for its sake.
Peng Ci’s heart felt warm. It just felt like Wife was the best person in the world!
Its head felt a little warm as it thought muddedly, ‘I really want to be together with Wife fureva. I want to hold hands with Wife, sweep together, and kiss Wife while hugging him.’
An Xingzhou was looking at at Peng Ci’s furry back when he saw Peng Ci suddenly plop onto the table, its back jerking a few times. Its ears quivered up and downwards as it started crying with a sob.
An Xingzhou: “?!”
An Xingzhou was startled. In the few seconds he spent in a daze, Peng Ci cried so hard it was on the brink of passing out, its entire rabbit body sprawled on the table. Its belly jerked again and again as it sobbed, burping without end.
An Xingzhou hurriedly hugged Peng Ci and smoothed its back fur. Hearing Peng Ci’s burping, he was both amused and distressed. He rubbed Peng Ci while asking, “What are you crying about? You aren’t really complaining that the computer is cheap, are you?”
“Sob sob sob… Wife… burp!” Peng Ci tugged Peng Ci’s clothes and rubbed all its tears away with it. Its ears stuck to An Xingzhou’s chest and twitched like they had a mind of their own. “Thank you, Wife! Sob sob sob! I love Wife so much!”
So Peng Ci was touched.
An Xingzhou grabbed a tissue to wipe Peng Ci’s tears away, not knowing whether to cry or laugh, and shook it back and forth in his embrace like he was comforting a baby. “Don’t cry anymore. Are you hungry? We’ll play games after eating.”
Peng Ci whimpered and then climbed upwards on An Xingzhou’s clothes. “Wife, kissies!”
An Xingzhou held its head, kissed it a few times, and spat out a mouthful of fur. “I kissed you. You’ll stop crying, right?”
“Yeah!” Peng Ci kicked its legs, wound them around An Xingzhou in a clingy manner, and whispered, “Wife, let’s be together for a lifetime, okay?”
An Xingzhou teased Peng Ci, “Whose lifetime? You demons probably have a very long lifetime. I can’t live for your entire lifetime.”
Peng Ci hummed a few times and said, “Our lifetime.”

lmao. Your comments: Hurry and become human! My QQ messages: Don’t turn human!
So divided!
The matter of Peng Ci turning human will be put on the agenda soon. Actually, there was a little foreshadowing hidden in the last chapter. It’s an old trope. Lemme see if there are any smarties who figured it out.
