Chapter 9: So Wife loves me this much

On the way to the intersection from the district, the number of people gradually increased.

Peng Ci poked its head out of the pocket, its claws clinging onto the rim of the pocket. If it weren’t for the fact that its ears quivered and that it occasionally turned its head to look at other places, it would seem like a furry little toy.

An Xingzhou found a large scale pet store nearby. The store employee’s eyes lit up upon seeing the little bunny nestled in his pocket, and the employee rushed forward to greet An Xingzhou.

“Hello.” An Xingzhou nodded at the store employee and rubbed the head the little bunny had left exposed outside. “Do you have any rabbit feed here? Something that’s suitable for a little bunny of this size to eat. ”

Peng Ci was jumping around wildly in the pocket and bumping its head against An Xingzhou’s hand to make An Xingzhou rub its head again.

An Xingzhou straightforwardly scooped Peng Ci out into his embrace and followed the store employee to the rabbit related section. After listening to the store employee introduce the rabbit feed one by one, he quickly looked around the product shelf and noticed there weren’t any of the expensive brands that Peng Ci had specified.

It was probably too expensive. If it couldn’t be sold, the stores would have losses, so it just didn’t stock the goods. After all, not every single rabbit was like Peng Ci, a troublesome, tacky, and smacking noble rabbit.

An Xingzhou could only pick up the closest bag and raise it in front of Peng Ci, asking it, “Do you want to eat this?”

Peng Ci stared at it intently for a while, its nose twitching. “Squeak squeak——”

Oh. So no.

An Xingzhou himself didn’t know how he could immediately understand what Peng Ci meant either. Either way, he just understood.

After he put the rabbit feed back, he picked up a nearby bag. “What about this?”

Peng Ci’s round eyes rolled around. “Squeak squeak——”

Fine. You don’t want this one either.

Next, An Xingzhou switched to another bag, switched to another bag again, and continued to switch to another bag… One after another, endlessly.

Even the store employee felt tired watching An Xingzhou’s actions. Seeing that An Xingzhou was going to put the package in front of the rabbit again, the employee couldn’t resist saying from the side, “Sir, the product you’re holding is the most popular and has the highest store sales. It’s very rich in grain and very nutritious… Even if you ask the little bunny, it’s not as if it can read it…”

“Puff puff!” Peng Ci immediately stood up while clinging onto An Xingzhou’s clothes and turned to huff at the store employee. “Squeak——puff puff!”

“Okay, I know you understand.” An Xingzhou pressed Peng Ci back to smooth its fur. Only after he made Peng Ci quietly lay back down did he say, “It’ll choose itself.”

An Xingzhou brought the bag he was holding in his hand in front of Peng Ci again. “Did you hear? He’s saying that this has the highest sales. You don’t want this either?”

“Squeak squeak!” Peng Ci turned its head disdainfully and jumped back onto An Xingzhou’s shoulder after thinking for a bit, pressing close to his ear after licking An Xingzhou.

An Xingzhou subconsciously pressed Peng Ci’s head and retreated a few steps, placing a small distance between the store employee and himself.

“I don’t want this!” Peng Ci said quietly next to An Xingzhou’s ear. “This one tastes so bwad ugh——ugh ugh——”

“Don’t throw up on my shoulder.” An Xingzhou asked after quietly warning it, “Then which one do you want? You’ll just eat it for a few days, can you be less picky?”

“A few days is so lwang! I have to eat it for so many meals!” Peng Ci patted An Xingzhou with its paws, saying a bit worriedly, “Wife, how come you don’t have any pursuits?! What are we going to do in our post-marriage life?!”

Being called “tacky” at home and being scolded as “not having any pursuits”, An Xingzhou finally couldn’t stand it anymore. Disregarding the store employee’s curious stare, he pulled Peng Ci down in one swoop and placed his hands under its armpits, lifting the little bunny in front of himself. “You have pursuits. I’ll throw you out right now. Go have those pursuits by yourself!”

Peng Ci’s ears immediately drooped. “Sob sob!”

The expression of the store employee, who was secretly watching them, changed even more subtly. ‘This customer is so handsome, and this bunny bun is so cute, but how come they have a few screws loose?’

An Xingzhou brought Peng Ci back in front of the product shelf coldly, asking it, “Which row?!”

Peng Ci answered in a well-behaved manner. “Squeak squeak squeak squeak!”

An Xingzhou put Peng Ci on the fourth row and slapped Peng Ci’s chubby, big butt. “Hurry and choose!”

Peng Ci stood up with its front paws in front of its chest, peered around, and sized things up for a while. It licked its paws, rubbed its face, and turned its head. Then, it jumped to some bag of rabbit feed and patted it. “Squeak squeak squeak!” This one!

An Xingzhou got things over with, pulling Peng Ci back with one hand and picking up that bag of rabbit feed with his other hand to go checkout.

Question marks surrounded the store employee, who had witnessed the entire incident on the sidelines.

‘What? Can it really choose? So the one with a few screws loose is actually me?’

An Xingzhou finished buying the backup rabbit feed while carrying Peng Ci and then went to the supermarket on his way home.

The supermarket didn’t permit bringing in pets. An Xingzhou originally wanted to bring Peng Ci back home first and then come out again alone, but Peng Ci cried and screamed that it wasn’t willing to. It wasn’t as if he could leave Peng Ci at the store entrance like others tying their dogs. It was such a small rabbit. Even though it was a demon, it was a useless one that would go as soon as it was captured by someone.

Right while An Xingzhou was hesitating, Peng Ci dug into the innermost part of the pocket with a slip. It then extended its little paws to push the pocket open a little, blinking its round, big eyes to meet An Xingzhou’s gaze.

An Xingzhou immediately understood.

This meant “I’m hiding inside so no one can see me.”

An Xingzhou quietly complimented it as “smart”. Peng Ci immediately started wagging its tail smugly, making An Xingzhou’s front chest pocket shake back and forth.

An Xingzhou hurriedly covered it, letting Peng Ci calm down. He carried the shopping basket and went straight for the porcelain area.

He got a set of all the plates and cups Peng Ci smashed at home first. Then he remembered something, pulled open his pocket, and asked Peng Ci, who was nestled inside, “What do you want to use to eat?”

Peng Ci’s mouth moved silently. An Xingzhou guessed he’d mouthed something.

But rabbit mouths were so small. Who could read rabbits’ lips?!

An Xingzhou looked around and flipped his pocket, saying, “Right now there’s no one. Hurry, get up and talk!”

Peng Ci immediately turned over and jumped up, poking its head out of the pocket and saying to An Xingzhou, “I want a bowl made of crystal for eating! Crystal plates for snacks! And also crystal cups to drink whatter!”

An Xingzhou: “…”

An Xingzhou pushed Peng Ci’s head back decisively, pretending he hadn’t heard anything.

This rabbit wasn’t just a scammer, but it even only thought about itself in calling him “Wife”, and even called “Wife” to live off him. Forget about all of that, but having such high demands while living off of him, it was simply the outrageous of the outrageous. Outrageous to the extremes!

An Xingzhou turned and got a set of plates and cups that was identical to his. Peng Ci secretly poked out its head, saw it, and immediately wanted to stop him. But then it saw the two sets of the same model stacked together and immediately changed its opinion.

Peng Ci rubbed against An Xingzhou through the clothes and said, “Wife is so shweet. I love Wife.”

An Xingzhou: “?”

Peng Ci swallowed a few times in its throat. “So Wife loves me this much, even wanting to use couple tableware with me! Wife and I are really so in love!”
