A cup of coke was poured over Cheng Jun’s head.
“The fuck!” Cheng Jun yelled.
Gu Xin was sitting on top of the alley wall. His hand still maintained the action of pouring the coke.
He then loosened his hand and threw over the McDonald cup used to hold the coke as well.
“Gu Xin, you!” Cheng Jun gnashed his teeth. He clenched his fists, but when he remembered how even Lu Hao was a bit afraid of Gu Xin, he didn’t really dare to curse at that other.
Gu Xin jumped off from the wall and stuck his hands in his pockets. He looked pointedly at Zhang Wenqi who was standing in the middle.
“Gu Xin, what are you doing?” Zhang Wenqi smiled and said sweetly.
Oreo raised his head. His eyes were serene. He looked at Gu Xin.
Gu Xin turned around and their gazes met.
You psycho, let’s see how cold-blooded you could be.
This scene, this scene where you reached out your hand to help me, I had fantasized about it countless times.
But I don’t dare to hold any more hope towards you.
“Can you stand?” Gu Xin asked Oreo.
His kneecaps seemed to be fractured from the kicking. He couldn’t even kneel.
Oreo was silent.
Gu Xin placed Oreo’s arm over his neck and helped him up. They began to head out of the alley.
Guo Yang and Cheng Jun blocked them. Zhang Wenqi gave Jia Beibei a look and had her send a private message to Lu Hao.
Jia Beibei passed her phone to Zhang Wenqi. Zhang Wenqi looked at it, then signaled for Guo Yang and Cheng Jun to let them go.
The people in Class Five all listened to Lu Hao and if Lu Hao wasn’t present, they listened to Zhang Wenqi. However, the people in Class Six weren’t happy with this. They surrounded Zhang Wenqi and asked her what happened.
When Gu Xin had helped Oreo to the entrance of the alley, Oreo smiled bitterly and looked back at the crowd of people wearing black uniforms like a flock of crows.
Their gazes were akin to knives.
“Where do you live?” Gu Xin asked.
“Are you going to send me back?”
“En.”
“Then send me to the black internet cafe on Shore River Road.”
“Okay.”
When Gu Xin arrived there, he discovered that it was the sketchiest internet cafe he had ever seen.
The internet cafe was hidden deep inside an alley. It was located on the second floor and they had to walk through a narrow corridor to reach there. The entire internet cafe was dim and the air was filled with cigarette smoke. There were a lot of people and a lot of noises. Downstairs was a run-down billiard room.
The brother at the front desk smiled after seeing Oreo. He didn’t ask him for money and directly opened a machine for him.
Gu Xin helped him to the front of the machine. The machines here were placed very close to each other, making the people crowd against each other, but you couldn’t see nor hear the people around you clearly.
It was dark. It was noisy.
Although everyone thought Oreo was weak and cowardly, they all thought that he was a good student who followed the rules. Gu Xin never would’ve expected for him to frequent places like this.
“Are you surprised? I actually spend most of my nights here.” Oreo smiled.
Oreo felt that high and aloof people like Gu Xin would think that he should rot in the mud.
The brother from the front desk placed two apples on Oreo’s desk.
The brother smiled and said: “That person came to find you again today, but you weren’t here so he went to the billiard room downstairs.
It was too loud in here. Gu Xin was only able to hear a few words on and off.
“Are you going to stay?” Oreo’s eyes were full of smiles but Gu Xin could clearly feel the distance between them increasing.
“Your leg…” Gu Xin didn’t have a place to sit. He half-knelt on the floor and wanted to push up Oreo’s ill-fitting pants.
“I’m fine.” Oreo stopped him.
These kinds of injuries, it hurt a lot when he was being stepped on but now they were inconsequential.
Gu Xin had to stand very close to Oreo to hear him. He couldn’t help but observe Oreo.
He was exactly like how he was in his freshman year. He had a serene appearance, fair skin, and his nose was straight.
It was this overwhelming pureness and beauty that made Gu Xin put down his aloofness and arrogance.
“Do you want to continue what we haven’t finished today?” Oreo’s smile was faint but his voice made people feel weak.
His eyes glinted.
Gu Xin recalled their first year of high school. Back then, whenever Oreo went on stage, he would become the focus point of the entire school.
The him from that time was like the sun in the sky.
He still was now.
Oreo tentatively kissed him. With two experiences under his belt, he was more skillful this time.
Gu Xin allowed him to slowly take his time. He then reciprocated with an even deeper kiss.
Gu Xin stood up and climbed onto the chair.
Two long legs knelt on both sides of the armchair. He stared at him fixedly.
The music in the black internet cafe was blasting and cigarette smoke swirled thickly in the air. No one paid any attention to the two of them.
Oreo reached out and pulled him in by the back of the head. Gu Xin pressed down on top of him and kissed him.
If falling into darkness was inevitable.
If it was like this.
I’m willing.
Oreo turned on the computer and began playing a game so Gu Xin sat on the floor next to him and also played the game on his phone. A person’s footstep approached them. Gu Xin felt this and looked up but that person didn’t notice Gu Xin’s existence at all.
“Oreo.” The person called out.
“Oh, Zhang Wei? What’s up, I heard you’ve been looking for me.” Oreo took off his headphones and looked at him.
Gu Xin heard this name and narrowed his eyes.
Zhang Wei. He was the one with Oreo in Lu Hao’s video.
In Oreo’s story, Zhang Wei was the second rich generation that was beaten up in the Gardenia Alley who later on became friends with Lu Hao and Oreo.
Zhang Wei looked at Oreo. After that thing happened, he hadn’t seen Oreo for a long time.
Oreo didn’t look at him with resentment at all.
“I often want to come find you these days. I want to know if you’re doing well at school?” Zhang Wei smirked, his face full of arrogance.
Rapist.
Why don’t you guess how I’m doing?
“I’m doing great.” Oreo answered.
Oreo felt that Zhang Wei was a very laughable moron.
Filming a GV of himself and Oreo to ruin Oreo’s reputation was like dealing a thousand damage to the enemy while doing three hundred damage to oneself. It wasn’t something a normal person would do.
“Lu Hao had sent me some of your photos recently. I can tell you’re indeed doing ‘great’.” Zhang Wei ridiculed him, thinking he’s just a dead duck playing it tough.
“You’re looking for me just to say this?”
“I can’t feel at peace if you don’t look miserable. Seeing how you can’t even stand right now, I can rest assured.” Zhang Wei raised his brows and said.
Did you drink too much potassium permanganate?
Oreo didn’t want to bother with him anymore. He turned around and put his headphones back on but his hand was grabbed by Zhang Wei.
Zhang Wei’s face was sinister as he said: “I won’t let you have a good life. Even after you leave school and enter society, I’ll create a world for you where you would be tortured during the day and be left bleeding at night.”
“Every day, the moment you open your eyes you would be trapped in it, forever begging for forgiveness, begging for mercy.”
You psycho.
I’m already trapped in that world.
Don’t the cruelties repeat themselves every day? He was already peerlessly skilled with the posture of begging.
