I sit alone on the sidewalk looking up at the stars “What did I do to deserve this? Haven’t I been through enough?” I start to cry again feeling my heart break into a million pieces “You loved him” I turn around to see Madison stand behind me I look away from her “Go away” I say she walks over and sits next to me. “I totally get it you know. For the longest time, I had to keep my feelings for Nolan a secret. It’s just too bad Ethan turned out not to be the guy we thought he was.” Madison puts her arm around me and I cry harder “But why did it have to be Kara?!” Madison rubs my back
“It shouldn’t have been anyone,” she grumbles the door opens and Madison turns her head then gets up. “She doesn’t want to talk to you.” I turn my head to see Ethan “no no I’d like to see what he has to say” I say getting up Madison looks me over but notices my tears have dried up.
Instead of feeling broken inside I was replaced with a pure burning hatred for the boy I used to love. “Make it quick Dolan.” I say crossing arms he shyly looks away “You have to listen, Kara,-” I wave my hand in annoyance “I don’t have to do anything Ethan just like you didn’t have to lie to me, you didn’t have to kiss Kara, or even date me” Ethan looks shocked then takes a step closer to me “I want to be with you” he says trying to take my hand I smack him away “Well you know what Ethan so did I! I wanted to be with you ever since you moved here but I wasn’t allowed to! When I was everything was amazing until you went off and kissed the other person I hate more then you!!” Ethan takes a step back “I’m sorry.”
I sigh “It’s too late for that,” I say walking away from him Madison follows close behind me and pushes me into the car. “Mary said I can drive you home then come back and pick them up” I nod my head as she starts to drive home.
The way home felt long and once I got home I didn’t know what to do with my self. I walk into my room and change into a sweater and sweatpants then just lay on my bed. I lay on my bed looking up at my roof and don’t move until my sisters got home.
